  1. People I know in Hobart say the proposed site is poorly chosen, with not enough parking and little public transport. What do Tasmanian Demonlanders think? @Clintosaurus ? Others?
  2. Geelong took their chances and kicked straight. Footscray did not.
  3. Binman: I think your missing drevs point ds - as I noted it's also 5 metres narrower. Which means there's less area. @D Rev is clearly talking about going straight to goal from the centre bounce. Nothing to do with the width of the ground or overall dimensions.
  4. A smaller ground (with shorter distances to cover) should result in higher scores.
  5. My Captain sent me to see Private Parts who referred me up the chain to Corporal Punishment and I eventually ended up with a Major Headache.
  6. I do. 155 metres is only five metres shorter than 160 metres. That's a difference of a mere 2.5 metres in each direction from the centre circle. (Imagine Max Gawn with his arms up ... about that distance) The SCG is almost the same length as the MCG. Any further queries should be directed to my Captain.
  7. Chin has a wife AND a girlfriend? For his sake, I hope they never meet each other.
  8. Fans often deride their players for "guarding grass". Jeff's analysis demonstrates why they do this and how a zone defence operates.
  9. The SCG is 155m from goal line to goal line. The MCG is 160 metres. There's hardly any difference at all, but the myth persists.
  10. I like to think of him as the St Jude of Demonland, still waiting for Juice Newton and Jeffo to come good.
  11. This has popped up in a couple of other threads. Compulsory viewing if you haven't already watched it.
  12. 1 - That Jeff White video is most informative and a good watch. 2 - So much for the theory that the umpires hate us and/or the AFL instructs them to be biased against us.
  13. In an unprecedented security breach, the Brownlow votes for our game v Brisbane have been leaked. 3 - P. Cripps 2 - N. Daicos 1 - L. Neale
  14. Butters and Kenny are very, very close by all accounts.
  15. I wonder what his favourite colour is.
  16. Bruce could also play an important part.
  17. Disraeli? Tom Fullarton is on record mentioning his gears. Ten internet points if you get that obscure reference!
  18. Do you all go to the same salon?
  19. Why are choosing to watch it?
  20. Can't see Essendon agreeing to that particular deal.
  21. No matter how disappointing our season has been to date and no matter how toxic this site has become, it's comforting to know that we can always rely on turning on each other to help us cope with the tough times.
  22. There was nothing in the Merrett incident if you have a proper look at it. Regarding the Pickett unpaid blatant trip, the only surprise is that he wasn't penalised for kicking in danger.
  23. The best description I have heard of Kane Cornes and those of his ilk is "flame thrower". It's attention-seeking behaviour that's all about the clicks and outrage. With that in mind, I don't know why anybody would take these gutter journalists seriously or, indeed, pay them any attention at all.
