  1. I'm not even going to read the past this post on this thread it is that ludicrous. If you want 18 year olds to be the absolute superstars of the sport you watch, switch to Gymnastics. Otherwise, stop showing your ignorance, its embarrassing
  2. McNamee is a great acquisition and won't be going anywhere, and there is more than enough room for Schwabb to return in another role.
  3. Callan Ward played some good games for the Doggies and coiuld be considered unlucky to be dropped. This is a great sign for Ricky
  4. If Warnock wants to go, Fremantle won't have a choice. You CAN'T trade a player unless he is happy to go. We hold all the aces, Warnock owes Fremantle nothing, Fremantle were happy to screw us when it came to Farmer. Horses for Courses
  5. Yes I would Great mark, great reader of the game and can kick
  6. We have a player who acn genuinely nulify the likes of Buddy, and you want to move him to the forward line.... ok
  7. Freo screwed us when they took Farmer In my opinion they can have our 5th round draft pick for Warnock... otherwise we'll see you in the PSD Warnock has to agree to be traded to Richmond first. I think he would prefer to be with his brother @ Melbourne with a young list all heading in the right direction
  8. This is actually a reprimand for being the most unfulfilled high draft pick of all time. He didn't actually touch Morris... or the ball, hence the reprimand.
  9. Team Round 23 2009: C Johnson, M Warnock, Garland Petterd, Martin, Rivers Davey, McLean, Morton Bate, Miller, Bruce Maric, Watts, Wonaeamirri R Warnock, Prismall, Dunn Int: , Grimes, P.Johnson, Wheatley, Jones emg: Buckley, Valenti, Bartram, Whelan, Jamar, Moloney, Frawley, McNamara, Cheney, Meeson, Newton, Robertson Warnock obtained from Fremantle in exchange for Nathan Carrol (Warnock told Fremantle to trade or else he would nominate for PSD Green and White traded to Sydney for pick no 11 in National Draft Bell and Sylvia traded to Brisbane, for pick 23 Prismall obtained from Geelong with pick 1 in pres-season draft Watts obtained from Sandringham Dragons with pick no 1 in National Draft Rookie Elevations, Wonaeamirri, Valenti Melbourne FC National Draft Selections 1, 11, 17, 18, 23, 39, 55, Melbourne FC Pre Season Draft Selections 1 retired: Neitz, Yze, Holland Traded: Carrol, Green, White, Bell, Sylvia Delisted: Weetra, Bode THE EMPIRE BEGINS!
  10. Bell looked lost again today. Bell is an excellent spectator - he watches it all happen around him. He took some good steps last season, however he's the weak link in our backline. Starting backline next year (09 the year of health and prosperity for the demons) Garland Warnock Petterd Rivers Martin Wheatley
  11. Yes. I can't believe he isn't tearing games apart. winning them off his own boot, winning 35 possessions and holding down a key forward post all at the age of 18. I'm with you, OBVIOUSLY he isn't good enough. Surely someone will take him off our hands at the end of the season! What a liability!
  12. Why is everyone convinced West Coast would take Rich? I would argue they need KPP forward as much as anyone. They haven't had a functioning forward line... ever Their midfield won their premierships. And we think if a Nick Riewoldt type player was available, they would take another midfielder? I dont see it
  13. Draft this year will be more nerve racking than ever before! As good as Rich might be, I think we have greater needs. Watts for mine
  14. Who else has these teddies?! $105. What if everyone sold their teddies! We'd be rich!
  15. This sounds like some of the finer details of Jimmy's Debt demoltiion Month!
  16. Watching the group, I think Miller is the natural leader that everyone follows. From all reports, he had the playing group absolutely PRIMED before the Brisbane, game, like they were prepared to follow him anywhere. I agree he needs consistency, but he could be a good fit until Grimes is ready =p + I don't think he will be FF, more a leading flanker / CHF perhaps?
  17. It's quite obviously Anurag Dikshit, with his online gambling company. The man has a gambling problem! And he's prepared to throw 20 million on the Dees. In all seriousness though, how about telecommunications?
  18. I couldn't agree more. If we don't take a key position player this draft, you will find me crying in the corner. We of all clubs should appreciate that they don't come around every draft - 2003 ring any bells. It would be a tragedy if we took Rich in lieu of Naitanui, Hurley, or Watts.
  19. Jaded, please keep the second and third weeks of October free, I've called the club, and you're required around our negotiation table for trade week preparation as well as formal discsussions regarding Brown.
  20. I hope our list management department work on the same premise as you. We have to trade and trade HEAVY. FWIW, I get a huge amount of satisfaction watching TJ tear it up for Brisbane. I hope he wins a flag. And, for the record, it was categorically the right decision to make.
