There is no way in hell Sylvia would want to go to Adelaide. He's dumb, but he's not toally stupid; do you know how hard Neil Craig trains the crows? Sylvia and Green wanting out (And I don't doubt it) is testimony to their attitude towards a team sport which neither of them will ever exceed at at the highest level. If they think they will walk into other clubs, they've got tickets on themselves. They are playing for their careers! I can count on my fingers the number of great games between them. I just hope someone is stupid enough to give us something (Anything?) for them. Maybe trade the 2 in the one trade to get a higher pick. I too will do anything to assist where possible.

Football clubs don't merge; they die. I can take all the verbal bashing about the snow, and being elitest; what I can't stand is people reminding us that we are the only club in history to vote for a merge. You need to get real if you think merging is the answer to our problems. We are a football club! A CLUB. A club is something you belong to, and you should be proud of; not something you join when the team is winning, and drop off when times are tough.

What this is an indication of is a senior group which is too worried about themselves, and not the interests of the team; that is reflected in their selections. I'm interested to know if I'm the only person who thinks Jared Rivers should line up at CHB for the Dees next Sunday? In my opinion, he's our most important player. We are a totally different side with Rivers as the keystone in defence. A win next Sunday against an undermanned and overhyped (I hope) Hawthorn will be extremely important financially for our club. We need some positive media attention, confidence, and a win to help lift membership numbers. He's had 2 runs with Sandy; what will be achieved by him playing for the Zebras instead of the Dees next week. I for 1 would love to see him play. Thoughts? Feelings?

Until we plant Bate at CHF for 22 weeks solid, you can't criticise how many marks he takes in a season. With the rare chances he's had at CHF last year, he's looked the goods. He also hits a leading forward in front of their eyes more often than anyone else on our list, even if he looks awkward in getting it there.

I also have huge hopes for Dunn. The dimension he will bring to our midfield in years to come is outstanding. I think he's a very intelligent footballer, and unlike everyone else on our list, he appears to get BIGGER every year! Bang him in the middle, throw himself around a bit, float forward and kick a couple of goals a game. Sounds Easy! Bring on Sunday
