Freak of Naita excites Demons

We have to take Naitanui I trust Wayne Hughes implicitly. If there is ANYONE in this country who knows more about number 1 draft picks than Wayne Hughes, I'd like to meet him. -
We will definetely need a definitive non clash jumper for all of those games.

Which 4 games are we going to win? I think I have a different fixture to you!

What if... What if Yze_magic, is Mark Stevens, and he was quoting himself? Would we put it past him?

Are we going to win A game this year?
Keepin up with the Joneses replied to Supreme_Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Unless Rich grows dreadlocks and shoots up 20cm, can jump over houses and takes out Fijian citizenship, I can't see him playing for Melbourne next year. We MUST recruit the big fella! -
Did anyone else notice the number of times yesterday Carlton was smashing us down the Southern Stand wing whilst we had 2 players running 100m to our bench for another 2 players to run another 100m to get to the play by which state, they were buggered and need to be rotated themselves?! This whole 'keep the rotations high' interchange thing is killing me! I watched the bench all day and all I saw was confusion. Twice I saw a player run to the bench, out of play to be turned around and be sent back out! Thoughts? Am I the only one who feels like we played 2 men short for most of yesterday?

Positives McLean regaining some form. Would have learnt a lot from Judd today. McLean had more, but wasn't nearly as damaging. Frawley; was great to see him take the game on early, and great to see him have a crack at Fev later on. We won't playing finals, Chip should go to the opposition Gorilla week in and week out and learn his trade this year. Brad Green played a game, as did Sylvia, fantastic to see them running into some form in time for November Trade. Morton; go easy on him, he's just a boy playing a mans game, and he's doing fine. Bartram; loved his pace.

I hope Belly lifts for himself and has a good one! -
I don't think he reads the ball coming in well at all. He is ALWAYS behind, and never catches up and rarely effects a spoil.
-
He needs to rip out his Melbourne vs Adelaide Crows Game 07, and have a watch. Even rewind and replay the good bits over and over. I still don't think HE thinks he's in our best 22. Confidence is a funny thing.

Maybe an introverted off field captain is the way to go!? If he is prepared to lead by example on the field... I don't know; who else is there, other than Jonothan Brown? *Puts on really hopeful thinking face*

If Jared could stay on the park, I reckon he would be a GREAT option as captain. Might also help keep him in Victoria. If Riv goes home, I will cry like a 5 year old girl in the corner.

Fear not my friends Brett Ratten didn't realise that they no longer need to tank; he forgot. Apparently, Dicky Pratt tapped him on the shoulder and said it's ok now if he wins a couple of games and that Chris Judd won't be going anywhere. Seriously, what a disgrace of a football team!

It's fortunate Riv played; Mooney would have kicked 26 on anyone else.

It's been a week where everyone has questioned our heart, commitment, and desire, and you pull out of a hit and run. Take a good long hard look at yourself! We need to be better than that!

Imagine Davey in the forward line!

This Sunday's game, I believe will be the defining moment for the Melbourne Football club. Despite the horendous showing first up against the hawks, there was still hope of a turnaround against the bulldogs. Our loss against the bulldogs cost us more than 4 points; it cost us our pride, our integrity, and all supposed hope of getting near last years premiers. This week, we have been given as much chance of winning, as an interest rate drop next month. So what do we have to lose? Thas right; nothing! On Sunday 22 Footballers will take the field against another 22, fueled by the knowledge that not a single person with sound mind gives them a chance in hell of getting close. Imagine the rooms beforehand... Throw caution to the wind! Run, chase, tackle, fight for every ball like your life depends on it. They've questioned your ability, they've questioned your application, But worst of all; theyve questioned your heart! They've questioned whether you care! They are questioning your manlyhood, you're livelyhood, WHAT'S YOUR RESPONSE. They are comparing you to the list of Fitzroy in 1996. The longest odds in history, you boys are, in a 2 horse race. They're questioning your heart! I'M PUMPED! BRING ON SUNDAY! Lets see if our players have a pulse. -
Agree How would you like to be an under 10 game player in our backline currently, with us calling for blood every time a goal is kicked because someone in our forward line didn't put any pressure on the person running the ball out, which bounced twice before it ricoched off Neitz's chest. Give the poor kid a chance; what's the worst that can happen! We lose against Geelong? Throw em all in.

Interesting interview with Paul Johnson on melbournefc.com.au At the bottom, he stated that 'we've tried to focus on our clubs core values, 'hunger, discipline and unity' Has anyone seen any of this so far this season? Anyone? btw, I reckon PJ has been super this season.

On Bailey's 'only play if 100% fit' ideal, he will play 3 weeks for Sandy. Doesn't matter if he kicks 10 for Sandy this week, won't play for us the week after.

Mr Almighty read the opening post. I wish it weren't true, however it looks like our suckiness will not reap the major prize.

Snowcone's chance in hell. It hurts so much! Why are we (Demonlanders) so strong, but our other supporters so weak! We are a club! Be a part of it, regardless of if we are winning or losing! -
BFBR's Zebras Match Review

What about bringing Frawley in to play on Steve Johnson? I'm sick of this little drunked towelling us up; could be a good challenge for him as he's not slow, and you could challenge him to stay no less than a mouse fart away from him at all times. If he goes to the bench, sit on his lap! What do we think?
