Was Brian Cook on Holiday in Europe (pretending to be chasing sponsors) in the middle of the Home and Away season, in his first year as CEO of Geelong and West Coast ?
-
Wouldn't we have been insolvent back in October '08 had Stynes & Co. not stepped in...............? Stynes is a Demon through and through, like him or not ! Pmac is a MAD Bombers supporter. The only thing that will get us through times like these is Complete passion for the club. Something Pmac could never have as much of, unfortunately. We ALL must unite & rally behind the current administration and show our true support for this club !

Maybe the club should chase "Tabasco Pepper Sauce" owner The Mcllhenny Company. They're a very large food company and promote themselves through "espn" football and sporting events. www.tabasco.com (sorry, not sure how to post a link) Media headings "Tabasco Demons Running Hot" "Tabasco Demons turn up the heat" etc.

Correct. Not only that. How many times was Morton in the clear, screaming for the ball with no opposition within 30mtrs of him and they kick it to a 3 on 1 contest............ ?
-
By all means people can list his attributes and shortcomings. All I am saying is give the kid a chance. That's all. BTW.....Weetra........seriously
-
The kid has only played a few games in a team that was being flogged. How can any of you know exactly what he'll be like ? Geeeez, give the kid a chance to prove himself. 1. He can find the pill. 2. He seems to create space for himself. 3. His disposal seems to create good passages of play and is effective. That's at least a start.....
-
We MUST take Sibosado !!!! The kid will be a gun. From the footage i have seen he plays a bit like Buddy Franklin.
-
Perfect !!!! :D :D :D

It was offered purely as an insult to the Mfc. It was pick 104 to be precise.

3 premierships in a row, with a bunch of so called rejects at any level would be classified as exemplary though wouldn't it ??? He was probably the best available considering our current situation and a proven match winning coach. He won't have to do much to better Paul Williams record and IMO will prove to be a good appointment. Success on the field as a coach is more important than a coach's previous success as a player. We will not get better sponsorship or more members just because our midfield coach used to be a star. We will get better sponsorship and more members with success on the field.
-
You would have to think that he wouldn't be too happy about a 21 game ruckman coming in and getting more money and commitment from Carltank than they are probably offering him ? Unless Visy steps in of course.........
-
We want a captain who puts in 110%, bleeds for the red and blue and doesn't expect any less from his team mates. e.g Green, Mclean, Moloney, Macca etc. But also has the balls to let them know !!!!! Answer = Captain - Brock Mclean - V/Captains - Brad Green & Macca

A message to Brent Prismall and Robbie Warnock.
DeeMfc replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
I didn't say he was AA standard did I ? I would say a solid player and very good player were one and the same. The 25 games in 3 years holds no water either. He would have been a certain starter every game in any other team before his injury. -
So... my picks would be 1. Watts 17. Suban 19. Cornelius As i mentioned, you could essentially throw a blanket over the players from pick 11-pick26... so it's a distinct possibility that a guy like Blease could slip to us. Considering my framework of the players MFC has to choose from, who would you choose for MFC's picks??????[/b]

DeeMfc replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
Warnock - 21 games, largely unproven but has potential...... too big a risk for what he was asking IMO. Prismall - Very good player with a very bad knee injury........ will be about 80% of what he could have been IMO. (would have taken him with our 3rd rounder though) Would have liked us to gain more picks though, but they weren't being handed out like lollies were they ? -
While we're on the subject, does anyone think Stef Martin looks like Brendan Fraser from The Mummy ?
-
Any thoughts on who the Dee's should be courting for sponsorship ? Vodafone has dumped the Kangaroo's !!! I think Vodafone would be a good fit for the Dee's and would add an extra splash of red to our jumper.
-
So........ what then, do you suppose we will get for an 'average half back flanker' in trade week ???? BTW Green is far better than your 'average half back flanker'. You name one 'average half back flanker' who can be played forward or on a wing with great effect. So what if Crawford is a brownlow winning midfielder. Do you think Hawthorn kept Crawford on the list because of the brownlow medal he won 9 yrs ago ?
-
I'm all for the youth policy but if I had to pick ONE PLAYER from the senior group to carry us through it would be Brad Green. He may not be captain material but his courage is unquestionable, disposal is very good and that is what we want in the young group coming through. Green is one player who can lead by example and apparently the young players really look up to him. Cale Morton stated Brad Green as his mentor. BTW did anyone think 4 yrs ago that a (then) 28 year old Shane Crawford would play in the 2008 GF at 32 ?
-
I would be stoked if we picked up Nick Suban with pick 17 or 19. The kid can really play. His disposal is very good (on both sides), he takes the game on and is always looking for the best disposal option instead of blazing away. Can play either end of the ground or through the middle and doesn't shy away from the hard ball.

Melbourne sign Frawley, Garland, Jones, Petterd, Bate and Newton
DeeMfc replied to w00dy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Does anyone think that the re-signing of Newton increases the odds that Melbourne are thinking of taking Rich in the draft ???? -
Seeing as our 150th has been dismal maybe we'll be having a solid tilt at the 2014 Premiership. Our 50th anniversary.
-
Agree Vickery looks the goods. The concern with Vickery is that he has already had a full knee reco ?
-
I see where you are going with that list but IMO Walsh was very underrated.
-
If West Coast get the spoon and take Rich ? If Melbourne end up 14th ? Thoughts ? Hartlett is a standout prospect for mine, along with Ziebell, Deboer, Yarran, Cornelius...... At least the talent pool is deep.
