  1. Good point sylvinator. Although I would be more than happy with any of the 3, if we took Rich we would get that gun mid who could stick it on the chest lace out from 60m. We are lacking a big target up forward but I think Stef Martin could be our answer ??? If not Garland is learning the defensive side to his game, but came to us as a forward. I'd still be very happy with Watts if we went that way though.
  2. Sylvia to Collingwood so he can play with his mate Didak.. Throw in Yze and we'll take Thomas.. I do think Sylvia is improving and would like to see what he could do next year but if a realistic, viable trade option came up we'd be silly not to look at it.
  3. NikNat is a mad Filth supporter !!! I'm sure if there was a chance he could play for the Filth he would take back his homesick comments.......
  4. Wheatley should be played on the wing as a link up player who can put it on the chest of our forwards with pinpoint accuracy. The distance (up to 50+ metres) that he can do this from will be invaluable. He can do this now as Chris Johnson looks settled enough across half back and is very good on the kick ins.
  5. Good onya Foxtel also. Might this be the start of new Sponsors coming to the club ??
  6. 21 possies in a half of footy with Sandy 2nd's after 18 in a half last week. Keep up the good work Jack !!!
  7. Matthew Deboer the midfielder for WA seems to be flying under the radar a bit.... Seems to be in WA's best very consistently. Haven't seen enough of him to make an asessment though ?
  8. If Dunn can learn not to squib a contest he will be one of the best taggers in the competition. He has all the attributes. He can also run off his opponent and kick goals. Give him the rest of this year with this role to prove himself. Allow Dunn and Bartram to develop into solid taggers who can run off thier players at the right times. Dunn to take the talls, Barts to take the smaller mids.
  9. Mono.... it pays to read the whole thread before getting  Read my post at 6.27pm above that says - There has been mention elsewhere of Grimes great attitude and work ethic. Now.. for the simple people that jump to conclusions I am talking about attitude and work ethic both of which have to be applied off the field to present it on the field. As I said earlier TJ was one of my favourites but he was, on occasion, lazy and his attitude and work ethic was questionable both off and on the field. What I was referring to predominantly was a hope that Grimes (who comes in at the expense of TJ) injuries come good and he has a long career with the Mighty MFC. We won't know whether the gamble has payed off or not for some time yet. The kid has plenty of time up his sleeve, after all he is not turning 28 this year is he ?
  10. Work ethic has nothing to do with statistics. Trav was one of my favourites at the club but he was lazy at times....... There has been mention elsewhere of Grimes great attitude and work ethic. I am by no means putting pressure on Grimes by saying that hopefully he gets over his injuries and has a long career with the MFC.
  11. I heard it on ABC radio Brisbane 4pm. Said they were dropped because they did not turn up to training. Maybe they worded it wrong ? I was only informing what I had heard.
  12. Just heard on ABC radio that TJ & J Sherman have been dropped from this weeks squad. Apparently they didn't turn up to training yesterday..... I think Jack Grimes has a much better work ethic. Hopefully he will come good with his injuries and have a long and distinguished career with the MFC. Thoughts ?
  13. These are the perfect attributes of a HFF/CHF !!!
  14. The footage of Cale running into space should be shown as what to do, directly after all the what not to do footage.
  15. So if he gets dropped we will win the rest of our games this season and challenge for the 8
  16. They're saying Riv's is a hammy but on t/v they said he was nursing his groin area for a while b4 coming off......... Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhh
  17. We must pick up Naitanui and then deal hard for a low 1st rounder to get Hurley. This will go a long way to building that spine we have sorely missed. Don't get me wrong, Rich would be awesome too but we have a plethora of current and up coming midfielders.
  18. In an interview at the end of the game Scott Burns said "It's certainly the best 16th placed team I've ever played !!"
  19. I like his aggression at the ball, however his disposal makes him a liability in the backline. Maybe we should try him as a defensive counter attack off a HFF ????
  20. Does anyone have an update on the Moloney and Rivers injuries ???
  21. With PG now formally stepping down what will/can Jim Stynes bring to the table ? Stynes is a hero back in Ireland so I think we might see a re-ignition of the irish connection. I also think he might try and build a real family atmosphere at the club. Anyway off to watch the match. Wish I could be there Only get to go to a few games a year as I live over 2000km away now, am a paid up member though. That will never change !!! Go the MIGHTY DEES
  22. No chance....... the bloke would have to be at least 28 this year would'nt he ?
  23. Cheers DD. I think White was certainly worth the punt.
  24. Not sure how to post a link But go to - www.thedrafter.net/all_drafts/index.asp It gives a performance ranking on all clubs since '98. Hope it helps with a subject that has too many grey areas. Cheers DeeMfc
