  1. Demonland has reached its pinnacle. Site can close down now as far as I'm concerned!
  2. Getting in 21 year old AA squad members aint easy. But we've pulled it off. Kudos to all concerned. Personally, I like tough kents coming into the team with leadership qualities. Out with soft xocks that don't go when they should. In with the natural born winners that get going from the start.
  3. Mosquito fleet should offer non stop harassment. Only thing Jarman has run from is the cops.
  4. Anyone see a trend in Goodwin's modus operandi? Guys who can handle themselves physically. Melksham, Johnstone and Lever are very handy boxers. Piggy Hibberd doesn't back away from anyone... Out with the soft c***s and in with the tough bar stewards!
  5. Think the message to Jack and everyone else on the list is getting on the pizz regularly while you are in re-hab is a no no.
  6. Tiges redefined defensive pressure. Every player prepared to gut run. No weak links in the chain. Take note Jack Watts! Good run with injuries. Huge advantage in this day and age. Neale Balme factor. Tiges developed a belief and its no coincidence that this came with arrival at Richmond. Did same at Geelong and Pies. Smart trading: Influence of Caddy, Nankervis and Prestia was profound even though Prestia was a slow starter. Having a game plan built around strengths. Only one tall forward (albeit quality) with swarming small forwards that can kick! Tiger board invested in their coach rather than fire him. Gave Hardwick tools to do the job. New assistants, new football manager, etc. Momentum. Won a big final (against Geelong) and any lingering doubts were gone. 70,000 passionate members cheering you on certainly helps.
  7. Strange hypothesis! Perhaps the toughest of all pound-for-pound was Matty 'The Wrecker' Whelan. Think he is one of the most loved we've had in 40 years. Neitz was well regarded too Personally I don't like faux tough guys like Dunn.
  8. History of wrist problems going back to 2014 has not helped him. Smart kid that showed plenty in draft year despite playing injured. Great spacial awareness but lacks a yard. Can run all day which Goodwin would like. Good size and decent mark. Change of scenery might pay dividends.
  9. Was a bit tongue-in-cheek Jnr! Interesting with Davey. Always thought those major hamstring injuries in his second year impacted his lightening speed. Could be related.
  10. Wouldn't mind poaching Two-metre Peter, Jack Martin or Heeney from this side!
  11. Not sure I agree Skuit with Spencer. Ten years on a list for 30-odd games. Paid probably 3 million bucks for those games. Pretty poor return on equity! Thing with Trenners is he seemed to lose pace in his second year. At the time I blamed excessive leg weights which they were all doing under Bailey. Not sure we'll ever know.
  12. Not having been drafted at 18 probably means he can build himself up in an AFL environment. What is great is his marking and kicking ability. He made a few AFL-listed guys look second rate this season. He won't shirk it either despite the skinny build. I'd draft with a third or fourth rounder.
  13. Wouldn't hesitate to have the 2015 version of Gaff. The 2017 version seemed very ordinary, almost disinterested. Better ways to spend a first round pick.
  14. FWIW I think the lack of wingman and in general good ball carriers is a point well made. We overloaded in the inside mid/extractor stakes with Viney, Oliver, ANB, Petracca, Van Den Berg, Brayshaw etc. Only Stretch and maybe McKenna fit the ball carrier profile in the midfield and I am worried that Stretch has no real tricks. We need a re-balance and should go hard at the likes of Kelly, Whitfield, Isaac Smith, Liam Duggan, etc
  15. I see where you're coming from Earl, but Watts has been a three or four million dollar investment with a 300K return. I'd cut our losses now while he has some currency. He stood up in the first quarter but in the next two did nothing. A well skilled but not an instinctive footballer. OMac has definitely improved but is far too laconic/slow for my liking. Would like him to have a nasty streak too. Has currency. TMac I would use as part of Lever trade.
  16. There are no simple answers, but... Vince must retire. Must find outside class in the midfield. Gawn needs to get off media street. Being a bogan clown and playing like he has for two months makes him laughing stock Must take risks at trade table. Trade OMac, TMac, Tyson, Watts and Stretch. Must find consistent small forwards that go hard for 120 minutes.
  17. Think you are horribly wrong with Petracca, Salem and Lewis calls.
  18. Notice a couple of posters potting Jones. Not deserved. Too easy a target. Other so-called leaders like McDonald, Vince and Gawn were awful.
  19. 6. Petracca 5. Jones 4. Hunt 3. Oliver 2. Hibberd 1. Salem.
  20. Too much wrong with this side. Last six weeks have been poor. No excuse not going hard enough in the first quarter. Too many liabilities. TMac, Omac, Vince, Hannan, Garlett's set shots. Brayshaw no where near it. Gawn is now ineffective. ANB, etc
  21. Midfield is getting flogged. Maynard dominating Oliver. There's no other plan. Least you can get numbers to the ball.
  22. Salem in is the main thing! Think Vince will be up for this one too!
  23. It's a worry! Adelaide have cemented a top two finish playing away against a desperate Weagles who just have to win. Dees come up against a Collingwood side who have been decent without finishing the job. Have they one last push? Melb have lost a bit of their x factor with Garlett, Gawn, Petracca and others down. Salem, Frost and Watts being dropped and Viney hobbling on crutches. Can we do it? Sure! Will we do it? Mmnn!
  24. Brisbane's defence is ordinary. Midfield with Martin, Beams, Zorko, Rockliffe, etc is excellent.
  25. 6. Jesse 5. Jones 4. Pedo 3. Melkman 2. Hibberd 1. Clarrie.
