  1. Gee, we're a serious bunch aren't we. Post is obviously tongue in cheek, but the reactions are priceless.
  2. I worry about the Dutchman's fitness. Fabulous for one half. Quiet for the other. Not surprising, of course, when you've not played AFL for over two years. But he's an impact player and things happen around him when he's going full tilt. Easy to forget how good Kent was early this year. Particularly Norf and Hawthorn. Maybe the penny has dropped?
  3. Guy in media, paid stupid money to make comments, makes comment. Probably a little provocative, but also complimentary at the same time. That's the industry in Australia. More than double the number of media cover AFL compared to federal politics. Such comments should be water off a ducks back. Don't bother shooting the messenger. Don't waste your time getting worked up over nothing. The opinions of Demonlanders mean much more. They know their team. They know what it means to break a 12-year drought. Most in the AFL media know nine-tenths if f*** all!
  4. I'm a little worried about Fritsch's form in the past three, four weeks. Maybe he is carrying something or the backline move is taking some time to adjust to. Maybe he just needs a spell?
  5. 6. Gawn 5. Melksham 4. Salem 3. Harmes 2. Hannan 1. Jetta.
  6. Eight shots to three and only lead by 10 points. Mmnn. Ominous. Oscar knocking people out? Maybe there is hope?
  7. No leadership. Jones, Gawn, Lewis, TMac have shown very little. Harmes, VD Berg look like the only ones that care.
  8. Umpires are cheats. Put Fritsch forward. Put Garlett on ball.
  9. Rain won't help us either.
  10. Pressure got to a few Melbourne blokes. Terrible quarter.
  11. 6. Oliver 5. Brayshaw 4. Hogan 3. Salem 2. Garlett 1. Harmes
  12. Not sure Hibbo or Bernie could go without a beer for more than two days!
  13. I'm not convinced! Seems very laconic in approach to the ball. Often gets outmuscled and gives up on chasing leads. Obviously he is still young but I want a big lift in intensity and much more mongrel in my full back. Maybe we should get Ingerson or Neitz down to the club to show OMac how forwards should earn their goals.
  14. Fumbliest player in the league but works hard.
  15. Joeboy your assessment of Melksham, Fritsch and Garlett makes me wonder if I saw the same game at all. Melksham and Garlett were amazing at times while Fritta was ordinary for the second week in a row. Maybe carrying an injury.
  16. 6. Melksham 5. Oliver 4. Brayshaw 3. Frost 2. Jeffy 1. Lewis.
  17. Some good: Frost, Jeffy, TMac, Lewis Plenty bad: OMac, Smith, Hogan, Jones.
  18. OMac is an absolute liability.
  19. Comparisons are odious! This team can do it but needs to realise what it takes. Develop a ruthless streak and a hate for losing that ensures Saturday night never happens again.
  20. We need guys that can run hard all day and dispose of the pill. The best in the league at the moment are Gaff and Whitfield. Given Gaff is a potential free agent we need to go hard. Hawthorn outsmarted us this year by not getting first possession and sitting back waiting for the likes of ANB, Bugg and Tyson to turn it over. We need quality ball carriers!
  21. Correct. And ANB fumbled all night.
  22. Too late in the season to blood Keilty. So Oscar stays unfortunately. JKH is gone. Shame his best games were in his debut year five years ago.
  23. Jones a 4 is a joke. Oscar and JKH scores are fair. Our bottom six are NQR.
  24. 6. Oliver 5. Petracca 4. TMac 3. Jones 2. Harmes 1. Gawn.
