  1. Yes. A playerā€™s mum told me about the new start time so I rang a buddy in admin and he confirmed it.
  2. I feel for the Casey players, their match starts at 1pm šŸ„µ
  3. Iā€™m on the Sunbury line and our train flies past South Kensington without stopping. One time I was on a Werribee train and when it stopped at South Kensington I took photos to prove trains do actually stop there. I deliberately made them blurry just like photos of Big Foot sightings or anything else mythical. šŸ˜…
  4. Youā€™ve been talking about the best way to get to Arden St? Or youā€™ve been talking about Demonland not being the place to go to for things like the best way to get to Arden St? If the latter, thereā€™s no harm in posting tips from people who may know the area well for folks who donā€™t know the area well.
  5. Yeah I suggested South Kensington which is on the Craigieburn line but I was getting that confused with Macaulay which is on the Upfield line and which is close to the ground.
  6. Weā€™ve been told parking may not be as big a problem as first thought. Arden St Oval is in an area largely surrounded by factories which are closed on weekends.
  7. I stand corrected and I thank you for the mature and respectful way youā€™ve brought it to my attention, ie. you didnā€™t say ā€œYOUā€™RE WRONG!ā€ Now Iā€™m gonna have to go back and reread your post because Iā€™m sure thereā€™s at least one typo. šŸ˜
  8. NOTE: Due to expected extreme weather thereā€™s a change to start time of the practice match vs North at Arden St this Saturday February 22nd. The match is now scheduled to start at 10am
  9. Iā€™ve been reliably informed that the Captainā€™s Run prior to the practice match will be at GOSCHā€™S this Friday, February 21st at 10am. Now confirmed: This isnā€™t an open session though. Of course spectators can still attend, the difference being the players arenā€™t officially available for pics and signatures after training, although they oblige the fans anyways. Also: the practice match will start an hour earlier on Saturday due to the extreme heat. Start time is now 10am
  10. Iā€™ll go one step further, OF. The club owns the playersā€™ souls. The things Mrs Fritta has told me would shock many people. These are things that only the players and their families (and the Club) know about. The players donā€™t get to clock off at the end of the working day. Their contracts include minimum numbers of obligations/hours outside of training and playing. They are monitored in every facet 24/7 during the season, and while not to the same stringent degree, during the off-season. Thatā€™s just two examples to illustrate the control theyā€™re under. Waaaay too much to list here. They earn every dollar theyā€™re paid and if folks think itā€™s a cushy way to make big $ theyā€™re so wrong.
  11. If you really are sorryā€¦ donā€™t be sorry for a differing opinion. Be sorry for repeating the same opinion over and over again because THATā€™S the excruciatingly exasperating aspect here.
  12. Can you please stop! Shaneā€™s a person not a second hand car! How about showing even a modicum of sensitivity? And youā€™ve made your point over and over and over, again and again and again with monotonous regularity. This isnā€™t breaching DL rules but PLEASE know that itā€™s annoying as [censored], itā€™s mind-numbingly tedious and above all else THIS IS IN MY EVER SO HUMBLE [censored] OPINION.
  13. Oh geez. Yes, sorry I do mean Casey. Bloody hell, Iā€™ve been out in the sun for too long šŸ˜… Picture the blackboard on The Simpsons: TRAINING IS AT CASEY ON WEDNESDAY TRAINING IS AT CASEY ON WEDNESDAY TRAINING IS AT CASEY ON WEDNESDAY TRAINING IS AT CASEY ON WEDNESDAY
  14. The Captainā€™s Run is usual at Goschā€™s on the day before GameDay. I canā€™t imagine thatā€™d change. Itā€™s still four weeks away and Iā€™m not sure if the training schedule is finalised yet. I have buddies in admin so as soon as I hear anything Iā€™ll post in this thread. šŸ‘šŸ½
  15. Idk but I donā€™t think so. I asked Goody about Shane being put on the LTI list and what that might mean for Jai or Roy. He said thereā€™s about 20 boys theyā€™re looking at ā€œin the backgroundā€ and that thatā€™s not unusual since most clubs do the same. He did say theyā€™re really impressed with Jai.
  16. He cartwheeled off.
  17. This is incorrect. Training on Wednesday is at CASEY
  18. Sorry Old Dee, I said there was training at Goschā€™s on Wednesday but thatā€™s not the case, itā€™s at Casey. Some of the younger players said ā€œsee you here on Wednesdayā€ because theyā€™ve yet to see this weekā€™s schedule, according to my admin buddy who was there and is across the schedules. My guess is that theyā€™ve swapped the Monday and Wednesday training venues because the funeral some staff are attending is close to the city.
  19. Yep. And he looks great, was in high spirits, absolutely full of energy. Really impressive
  20. No idea and wouldnā€™t ask him because his demeanour and body language said not happy. He did say heā€™s able to do some training (in the gym) which makes him happy.
  21. I saw some pretty hard ā€œcontactā€ going on, both on and by Tracc.
  22. Luker looks well but has lost quite a bit of weight as well as muscle tone. Heā€™s not worried about it because he knows he will successfully get back to how he was pre-illness and heā€™s confident heā€™ll be in even better shape. Itā€™s amazing how upbeat and happy he is.
  23. No worries with Andy. He just told me itā€™s a corky šŸ„³
  24. LOL Jonesy was told to put on a white vest and get out there coz he has to play. No kidding, Iā€™ve never seen a grown man so excited to be told to play. He threw his whistle at Selwyn and said ā€œMind this for me, they need me to play!ā€ Heā€™s like a pig in the proverbial. He just tackled Harves, or at least tried to, after which he hugged him so tight. šŸ„ŗ
