  1. I totally forgot to beg during the week, but it’s not too late… If you have a couple of hours free this arvo and you’re down for a really entertaining event, please come to Ikon at 1:05pm (gates open at midday) and bring the fam along. There’ll be face-painting, giveaways* and the other usual fun activities. Expected top temp of 23… perfect! There’s a forecast of possible rain** but those meteorologists lie through their teeth all the time, especially that Bunn person 😝 Don’t have a ticket? Fear not, you can buy one at the ground. Adults: $15 and free entry for under-18s. *last week I went home with a little yellow Sherrin, an even littler red Sherrin (stress ball), a bottle of shampoo and a packet of hair ties (cheers, Chemist Warehouse!) a Kate Hore cup and an AFLW beaded bracelet. **bring a poncho just in case 😁 Please come to cheer on our incredible W team! They’ve worked so hard to get to this point, they deserve everyone’s support. ❤️💙👊🏼❤️💙
  2. Do you even know me?! I don’t just share… I overshare. Just ask my sons 😅 Our club does help us heaps with our support of our W team. I’m sure other clubs do this too but you need numbers in terms of people being involved and that’s clearly the issues they face. We also have a good overlap of M and W supporters, including kids (male and female) from toddlers through to teenagers. We boast the largest interstate travelling crew (M and W) and the only times our girls get a smaller banner is when the poles at certain grounds are shorter because this dictates the size. Tomorrow’s banner however, is the largest allowed. At Ikon Carlton’s away poles are shorter so one of our diehard members drove to the ‘G and fetched our poles so as our team gets a massive banner. That’s how important this is. This morning I told the girls about the banner and their reactions were priceless. They’re all so grateful and that makes all the work worth it. We enjoy making them anyways so it’s win/win. Captain Kate made a point of repeating the thanks after training. She’s just an amazing human being.
  3. *Google Translates Little Goffy’s Latin phrase *Laughs her arze off coz hella fitting 🤣
  4. Kingy introduced me to Rhett, our new Casey head coach. He’s a lovely person and is really keen to “get cracking” next season. I told him not to get too attached to Luker since he may not have a lot to do with him next season 😝
  5. Yes, Chase is about 12yo and was genuinely excited at the prospect of sitting with the DA.
  6. He’s great. He’s full of smiles and super pumped. Two of his sisters, his little brother and little nephew were here, visiting from the Pilbara region. His sisters told me that Koz loves the MFC and despite all the talk of him leaving and the homesickness thing (which they said is totally overblown), he’s happy with us and his little family is settled here. Kozzie’s little brother and his nephew didn’t engage in the convo until they heard I’m in the cheer squad and then it was on like Donkey Kong 😁 We’ve made plans for when they come to the ‘G at some point next season. They both wanna sit with me and I’ve promised them they can hold up Kozzie’s giant head, however, despite Koz being their brother/uncle, they were both more interested in being on a flogger 😅
  7. It’s 8:33am and they’re already out there! Ima hafta have a quiet but stern word to the new Pres. or Paul, or Richo or whomever sends them out early. All good, I got to the tent and got some hugs in. Not least of all… KOZZIE!
  8. For mine it’s not about the era, nor the title, nor the lyrics. It’s 30-40 seconds of power in the form of menacing, foreboding music.
  9. Not to blow our own trumpet (except blowing it so hard our faces are red and we’re hyperventilating) Saturday’s banner is something to behold. It’s the maximum size allowed by the AFL, and it looks spectacular. It’s no wonder at least four other clubs (that I know of) have contacted us asking for advice on how to get the same level of support for their W team. Last week North had only three people attend banner-making, and they’re on top of the ladder! Anyways, a huge well-made banner doesn’t guarantee success but it’s genuinely very much appreciated by the players. Putting down the trumpet… for now anyways 😁
  10. How about… Guerrilla Radio - Rage Against The Machine. Sleep Now In The Fire - Rage Against The Machine Bulls On Parade - Rage Against The Machine Killing In The Name (Of) - Rage Against The Machine Renegades Of Funk - Rage Against The Machine Wake Up - Rage Against The Machine Pretty much anything RATM
  11. I like the Lego having a dig at Geelong version better 😂
  12. Why not ask everyone who’s ever threatened to leave this site why they’re still here? Why single out PF? People say all sorts of things they don’t mean when they’re very angry or very upset. It’s an interesting concept, perhaps you’ve heard of it, it’s called being human. Some of us, probably the minority, are heartbroken about Clarrie’s departure. You may not share the feeling but you need to respect it nonetheless.
  13. Ballsy move, Lego. I like it!
  14. Hoping someone can explain this… Ie., why is he carrying a chicken? My comrades in the DA have asked me (as our resident crazy chook lady) and I have no idea.
  15. That would be awesome, right? But it ain’t gonna happen. We’ll be on our knees at the mercy of the airlines and again I’ll be living on 2-minute noodles for a while. I’ve run outta body parts to sell on the black market. 😁
  16. I never found Kolt to be cocky (very confident, yes) but I understand why he might’ve been perceived that way. He has the gait and the air of someone who thinks they’re the best thing since sliced bread, but that’s not contrived, it’s inherent imho. For want of a better term, he’s been brought down a couple of pegs, but in essence he’s the same boy, ie. his spirit hasn’t been broken, for which I believe the club should be given credit. At the tender age of 20 it would be unsurprising should his confidence be eroded when told to “smarten up” and all that that entails.
  17. And even then we won’t know the full fixture because round 24 is a big fat secret ‘til five [censored] minutes before it starts 🤨
  18. Or “Look Back In Anger” (David Bowie)
  19. Ed Langdon’s all-time favourite song 😊
  20. Blockbuster… LOL
  21. I didn’t know what the hell you were talking about then and guess what? I still don’t know 😅
  22. Gabs didn’t look happy when she came off the field and was talking with Tess (the W doc). It stood out because she’s usually super upbeat. I feel bad for her, she never gets a good run without issues.
  23. You make a good point but geez it’s hard not to get excited. Andy runs without issue, he moves really well and he looks great. He hasn’t lost any of his enthusiasm and his smile is even bigger than before, if that’s even possible.
  24. Kolt has gained a couple of years of maturity in the space of two months. Honestly, I’ve never seen a stronger case of “smartened up” ever. Idk what he was told in his exit meeting but whatever it was it’s working a treat. There’s residual cheekiness when talking to me in private but on the whole he’s grown up a bunch.
