  1. Above everything else, please don’t ever mention Mason Cox and our Jimmy in the same sentence.
  2. Ugh Goody and Mick. The footy gods are really testing my patience now. Love Mick so much. He’s been there from the beginning and the players and staff and fans love and respect him. He deserves to broaden his career beyond being our coach and I hope he gets what he deserves having been with us from Day One. We’re sure gonna miss him 😕
  3. If not Shae, maybe Matt Brewer, who recently stepped down as VFLW coach. At the Casey B&F he said he was hoping to move on to something bigger.
  4. “Avoiding”? “AVOIDING”?!!!! I’ve told almost every one of them it’s in their contract and if they don’t believe me they need to get a very powerful magnifying glass and check out the finest of fine print on the bottom of their contract. CJ said he couldn’t find his contract but it doesn’t matter because he likes the hug at Gosch’s. So there!
  5. It’s called having an opinion.
  6. I don’t care who wins Mark of the Year, Tay took it on Saturday. 😜
  7. The added cost wouldn’t impact greatly on the overall cost, and knowing one’s AFL membership includes W membership might encourage more people to attend W matches. W membership gets us into every H&A match (including interstate) and the membership packs are always great. Combining the two makes a lot of sense.
  8. Thanks, DIO 😅 So proud of Edo and I don’t mind that she went off-script. I asked her to do it in the first few minutes of the match and she said she’d rather “toy with her for three quarters then put her on her arze at the start of the last (quarter).” We agreed her plan was the best. All good though, Birch ended up on her arze regardless and for that I’m grateful to our Edo.
  9. This is some sort of affectation she employs while interviewing people. She doesn’t speak this way in everyday conversations.
  10. 2,000 vs 7,000 = not “slightly less” We’re talking about W engagement, not W engagement in terms of how the men’s counterparts are faring. Attendance numbers are poor. End of story
  11. Just Paxy’s presence in the rooms and on the field is priceless. The younger players are all the better for it, and imho it’s enough to compensate for some of her shortcomings. The game is passing by her, she’s the first to agree with this. But she still does enough to warrant her inclusion and there’s no denying her enduring determination and desire to succeed. As a person she has character and integrity in spades, always has time for fans, is as sweet off-field as the next player and is awesome to chat with. Paxy is someone every club should have. PS Paxy is also hella fun at the B&F every year. I’m looking forward to partying with her again in two weeks. 🥳
  12. Let’s be honest, BDA. The scheduling of these finals only minimally impacts attendance numbers, if at all. Night matches, twilight matches, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon, Friday night… if folks wanna go, they’ll go. To answer your question though… the AFL wants to APPEAR to be promoting the game. Actually promoting it, not so much
  13. I’m not good at estimating the ratio of fans but I’m excellent at knowing when my team has nowhere near the support of the opposition 😕 A DA member who is good at estimating said he thinks of the 7,000-odd fans, we’d be lucky to claim 1,000 of them. I think he was being generous 😕
  14. Except yeah, you can. These are the very folks to whom I’ve been appealing for this finals campaign. It doesn’t matter if they’ve not seen a single H&A game,* they don’t even have to like the W, they could’ve attended the finals at Ikon purely because their club is playing, and playing as underdogs, which means their presence is needed more than ever. Yesterday’s turnout was disheartening to say the least. Our team made a prelim and so few of our fans attended. I’m not saying that affected the result but geez it wouldn’t have hurt it. * This season we’ve played H&A games at Whitten Oval, Ikon and Vic. Park which are all inner-city. My point in noting this is that we don’t always play at Casey.
  15. That’s the key word right there. The first time I met her I also thought she was a nice person. Even the second and third time… nice person. Then the real Birch comes to the fore and you see her for what she really is, ie. as The Taciturn Demon so accurately put it, an awful person.
  16. Where to begin?! Birch burns her bridges when she jumps from club to club. Even her current teammates aren’t exactly enamoured with her. She’s not a team player, never has been. She’s as selfish as they come and she couldn’t care less what anyone thinks of this. Our girls don’t mince words when it comes to her. They don’t just dislike her, they can’t stand her. This goes back to her early days with us, even before she cracked the sh!tts because she wasn’t given the captaincy upon Daisy’s retirement. She focuses on her media career more than she should. Were she playing in a less successful team this would probably need to be addressed. The thing is… she’s not even good at it. Her voice makes one’s ears bleed and it’s painfully obvious she doesn’t listen to anyone she interviews. It’s so cringe. That’ll do for now. 😁
  17. Hey! You’re lucky I changed my mind at the last minute and decided not to wear that same t-shirt. It looks so much better on me 😝 PS: Glad your mum enjoyed the day, despite the result.
  18. This is what Kalani posted when he was 12yo… 🥹🥹🥹
  19. It was nice to see Kalani at the W today. Luker picked him up from the airport and brought him straight to Ikon. I told him it was cool that he didn’t wanna go straight from the airport to home (home being Geoff Porz’s house, with Luker and Laela Ebert) and he said it was a pity he missed the first quarter but that’s just how the timing of the flight went. Supporting our girls from the moment he landed ❤️💙
  20. If Mick does go to Geelong, as bad as that seems, we would be ok if Shae Sloane takes his place imo.
  21. Likely would have had we been given a home qualifying final. Brisbane finished below us and were granted a home final. 🤷‍♀️
  22. There was talk of this because Edo’s partner Nikita - who plays in the Vic. Amateurs - didn’t think she’d get another contract and was considering the possibility of moving back to WA. A couple of weeks ago Nikita told me she was offered a contract and they’re staying put in Vic. Hopefully nothing changes.
  23. So nervous! Haven’t eaten a thing, running on coffee and Red Bull in unhealthy amounts. I’m seeing heaps of North fans and have yet to see a single Dees fan. I hope this isn’t indicative of the crowd today. Fffff-ar out! Two boys heading to Ikon on the train were in Bulldogs regalia and now I just saw a couple both wearing Essendon caps. That means I’ve seen more Bulldogs and Essendon fans than Dees fans and those teams aren’t even in the finals. So far I’ve seen only one Dees fan and that’s when I caught my reflection in a window.
  24. I’m currently on a train to Ikon and sitting next to me absolutely chewing my ear off is Jas Garner’s brother and I’ve never wanted to kill someone so badly in my life.
