All very different boys but they get along really well. X is rather quiet and reserved, similar to Judd, and seems more mature than the others but gets on with everyone nonetheless. The Bison is also pretty mellow and extremely humble. It’s endearing how modest he is. The No DHs rule is still in force. The parents of the young ‘uns love that their boys are with the MFC and that’d be because their boys are happy here. #CultureShmulture 😁

Totally. They’re very good mates. I think it’s because Luker is so easygoing which one would need to be in order to hang out with Kolt who’s not everyone’s cup of tea, so to speak. Kolt has a BIG personality and Luker is super chill which makes it work perfectly. They’re both great lads 🥰

You’re keeping up perfectly coz that’s exactly what happened. I was in a café, Kolt came over, we had a big hug and he told me about his holiday with his brother and Luker in Japan. We talked about other stuff then he said, “how about Judd, that was a shock.” And that’s exactly how it went.

Especially considering there were kids already there and I’m sure being that it’s school holidays and a beautiful sunny day many more kids would likely have been on their way there. Apparently the surface at AIA is too hard for the players to train on and that’s why it was moved to Casey. That’s the official reason, personally I reckon it’s coz Filth germs can survive in the air and on surfaces for several weeks so we’re waiting for the all clear. 😁

Not at all interested in leaving Melbourne (the club and/or the city). The first time I met him he said “I’m a one-club kinda person.” Of course, everything is subject to change. But as for now, he’s committed to the MFC and he’s pumped for next season. Today as I walked away from him he said, “ Seeya at preseason!” I said, “Yeah, I’ll see you in December.” He said, “No, we start back in November, on the 11th, six weeks from tomorrow.” Bless his eager little heart 🥹

Anyone who headed out to the AIA Centre to watch training will be disappointed to know the venue has been changed and is now taking place at Casey Fields. And if the website had’ve been updated I wouldn’t be at AIA right now 😭

Hey all! Glutton for punishment here 😑 @48 Year Now look away now buddy, I’m about to relay part of a convo I just had with a player which may or may not be entirely made up. According to Kolt Judd’s decision came out of the blue - a complete shock. He was also convinced Judd was staying. He said Judd is a “closed book” most of the time but in terms of his future he made it clear he wasn’t going anywhere. And no, I didn’t bring up the subject, Kolt did. He asked me how I felt about it and I told him I wish Judd all the best, and left it at that. @Lucifers Hero Luci, I told Kolt he’s your new boy and you’ll be changing your avi accordingly (online in general, I didn’t mention DL) and he said, “Tell her to make sure she chooses a good pic of me” which is sooooooo Kolt 😅 He just got back from 10 days in Japan with Luker and today he’s in the gym (by choice) because he’s gearing up for preseason which starts in six weeks.

Please don’t feel sorry for me. Like I’ve already said, I’m only disappointed that he said he had already signed, and obviously he hadn’t. That’s the only time he lied. I’m also disappointed to be losing him to another club.

I’m disappointed but I’m not angry. I’m disappointed ONLY BECAUSE he lied when he said he HAD ALREADY signed when clearly he never had. I don’t believe he was lying when on several occasions he volunteered the confirmation of the fact he was going nowhere. I truly believe he was committed to staying up until very recently. After his meeting with Steven King, he (King) said Judd “gave every indication he’s staying.” Something has happened in the very recent past. Incidentally, Judd and Lily have broken up… allegedly.

That game out at Windy Hill last year is one I’m hoping to forget… and soon. Not only did we have to fight to get seats for our elderly/mobility-affected members, they wouldn’t allow us to bring camp chairs and instead provided 12 hard plastic chairs. It was a hot day and there was bugger all shade. Despite its name there wasn’t a breath of wind at Windy Hill, therefore no respite from the burning sun. And worst of all… the result. Losing to that team sucks, especially losing the way we did that day. But that was then and this is now: Look out Dons… we’re comin’ for ya!!! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

Nah, H will be a DL whipping boy ‘til the day he’s no longer a Demon, regardless of who else comes in. Sure, there’ll be others who cop it but there’s no law that says there can’t be more than one mercilessly whipped player on DL. It’s not like it’s unprecedented. Luckily for Sharpie he’s an irrepressible ball of energy and enthusiasm. He’s super grateful we picked him up and remains proud to be a Dee. He may not be setting the world on fire but that’s not for want of trying.

He sure is. Tom is Ben Brown version 2.0 and it’s no surprise they’re very close friends. TC’s social consciousness and his unprejudiced views are being exposed to our players and the young players especially will benefit greatly from this. IMHO
