  1. Exactly! The Dees are playing in a prelim and it’s at an inner city venue and tickets are only $15 and it’s gonna be 22 degrees and sunny. I don’t expect people who aren’t interested in the W to magically become fans but ffs would it kill folks to turn up? It doesn’t matter if you don’t even care about the result, just being there is enough and making a ton of noise is gold. Don’t think for a second your presence won’t make a difference, coz it will, it really will. This should be in my begging thread but we’re here now so ima carry on. Bring your kids, too. They get in for free and there’s so much fun stuff to do, and I know because every week I join in said fun stuff. Heaps of free stuff to take home, too. There’s a photo-booth and face-painting and skills practice and these are available for the duration of the match, not just beforehand. JUST BE THERE!!!
  2. Ugh, I hope Birch has a ‘mare. So glad Edo will be back and if her demeanour/countenance is anything to go by she’s gonna absolutely rip it up out there. She’s pumped and can’t wait for this weekend.
  3. Good luck with that! 😂
  4. And on the MFC website they’ve updated the men’s sessions at Gosch’s but no mention of the women’s sessions. I’ll be so disappointed if I miss their first session back after that win; I’m always keen to greet them as they arrive from AAMI but this is next level excitement!
  5. It’s hard to imagine Banno being dropped but maybe that’s what might happen. Mick knows what he’s doing and we’ll trust his selection. I’m not sure about Maevo. Last week she said she was hoping to be available for the prelim should we make it. We made it so I hope she’s right 🤞
  6. Thank you so much, D. You’re a sweetheart. The W players and coaches make supporting them very easy. They all acknowledge and appreciate the DA’s love, and the girls are so much fun to hang out with. Their enthusiasm is infectious; they’re a tonic.
  7. So happy for you having your spirits lifted, DZ. That win did countless wonders. I sincerely hope your heart issues are resolved soon 💕
  8. North’s record-breaking winning streak of 25 began with a win against us. How unimaginably INCREDIBLE would it be for us to be the team that ends the streak! Now, I’ve made more deals with the footy gods than I could ever make good, even in 10 lifetimes. But this week’s prayers are ‘sell my soul’ level. 😁
  9. Not gonna lie, I cried like a baby on the final siren yesterday* The relief was overwhelming, as was the feeling of pride. Also, I couldn’t stop thinking about Mick and the players and how they would’ve been feeling. I adore these girls, every one of them** and the win was exactly what they deserve. When they came over to us post-match… wow, the emotion! I wish it could be bottled. *Note to self: face paint and crying don’t work together. **The only Dees W player I’ve ever disliked is no longer a Dee. Her name rhymes with Bibby Lirch and she’s chasing her fourth premiership and if we can deny her that my life will be complete 😄
  10. This made yesterday’s win so much more special. We were all well aware of what a loss would’ve meant. Apart from the usual reasons for winning being so awesome, the threat of yet another straight sets exit made the victory feel almost like winning a grand final. The importance of that win was monumental and as a consequence I reckon there’s not as much pressure on us this week, which is a good thing.
  11. Right? It’s all about them and their precious egos. Devoting the entire side of the banner for anything other than the team is disgraceful.
  12. Yesterday’s banner… And get a load of Hawthorn’s banner (having copped a bagging for last week’s poor effort)… This alone made me hope they were smashed by Carlton 😄 One of our DA suggested this… 😂 On Thursday we made the backing for this week’s banner and tonight we’re going in to complete it. We may even make the GF banner backing tonight coz why not?! We very well may need it. 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
  13. I don’t have to wait ‘til Monday, I saw Trent at the game today and told him what folks on here have been saying about his first project with the MFC. It quite clearly made his day. He was delighted to hear it.
  14. We play at Ikon on Saturday 22nd November at 3:05pm YEAH THE DEES!!!
  15. Spare a thought for ex-Demons Casey Sherriff and Eliza West: tonight marked their sixth consecutive finals loss.
  16. Love this! Checkers is in the same mould as BBB and TC. Incidentally, BBB and his wife Hester were at the match today ❤️💙
  17. No because the women’s side still needs her 😉
  18. This is what we were saying after the match today… why can’t it be us? Every win for them sees them closer to an inevitable loss. Someone will beat them. Why can’t it be us?
  19. A smaller crowd than last week. Not surprised though; Brisbane has Fitzroy supporters who live in Victoria. Adelaide W fans don’t travel interstate in big numbers. Next week’s match will attract a much bigger crowd.
  20. I’m glad you loved it! And also that you’re going again next week. You may well be our lucky charm 😁
  21. It’s definitely Saturday at Ikon. The time is yet to be announced but it’ll most likely be in the afternoon.
  22. How did you know?!?!?! 🤣 Soooo proud of these girls. They’re the daughters I never had. The first year players in particular. Molly, Dingo and Bertie (Laela Ebert) brought tears to my eyes; their exuberance is heartwarming to say the least. To see their excited faces was priceless. Yep, hugs galore. Not just players but their parents as well. I even hugged Molly’s boyfriend! His name is Riley Sanders and he plays for the Bulldogs but today he was a Demon ❤️💙 BRING ON THE KANGAROOS!!!
  23. Also, we have a special kinda relationship with Adelaide. Put simply, we hate them. Will never forget having beaten us in the season 7 grand final they waited until round six the following season to unfurl their premiership flag. They played at home in round one so they could’ve unfurled it then. But no, they waited for round six. Why? That’d be coz they played us… at our home game. To add insult to injury, when they did the lap of honour, and passed us, several of them gave us the middle finger. Real classy huh. PS: they beat us that day.
  24. We can do this! The players fully believe it, so too should we. The Crows are beatable. Yes, they have Hatchard and Marinoff and Ponter and Randall, but we have Hore and Hanks and McNamara and Heath. We can definitely do this!!! GIVE ‘EM HELL, DEES!!!
  25. This video was made by Trent, a new staffer who only started the job on Monday. He’s very young and rather shy and looked so nervous. Yesterday he asked me what I thought of this video. I told him I love it, it’s so well-made and on Monday I’m gonna tell him it’s been well-received on here. Thanks for posting, DD.
