TRAINING: Tuesday 27th May 2025
Talk about humble! I told Bowser that weâve always known how good he is but now it seems everyone else is taking notice. I quoted Kingy who said, âWatch out, young fellah. Youâre on the rest of the competitionâs radar.â I told him heâll be minded from now on and he actually blushed. đ„č He said, ânah, that wonât happen.â I said donât make me slap a player! He said, âOkay, that wonât happen⊠every week.â đ Heâs a quick learner is our #17 đ

Spargs says it was the first incident.

The thing is though, his shoulder was already an issue due to an incident a few minutes earlier. But yeah, the Mills bump wouldnât have helped.

TRAINING: Tuesday 27th May 2025
Update: the coffee wasnât free, not even for their members! Cheap bastards. After our boys had gone back to the rooms Salo hung around with some little Victory fans and was showing them his soccer skills. Very impressive and I wanted to film it, but by the time I found my phone in the bottom of my bag heâd finished up. đą

Spargs has indeed done a scapula but isnât expected to be sidelined for eight weeks, the doc said itâs likely only four or five weeks because it wasnât as bad as they oftentimes are.

TRAINING: Tuesday 27th May 2025
First time Iâve seen Shane since he was injured. Heâs delighted to be out of the moonboot now and just wears a compression sock. He walks with a slight limp but thatâs because heâs adapting to being sans moonboot. Heâs in good spirits and is super keen for next season. He said he expects to be able to do a full preseason. Heâs been doing heaps of other types of training, weights and the pool, the latter of which he loves. He talked about the timing of the injury being heartbreaking since at the time he was feeling the best heâs ever felt in his career and he knew his body was finally right. I saw AMW too but didnât get a chance to say anything other than hi (got to see that killer smile though). But coincidentally I ran into his sponsors before training and theyâd been with him this morning. They said heâs in great spirits as well. Andy and Shane and Koz didnât train but came out at the end of the session to participate in a staff/player catch-up on the field.

Their players are coming out now so Iâve gotta go and Google their names đ Hashtag Iâll do anything for a free coffee Hashtag itâs freezing here.

Judd vomits due to drinking too much water. Heâs always had this issue except he doesnât consider it a problem coz he feels so much better afterwards. Clarrie said to let yâall know that heâs yet to reach his best and that heâs working really [censored] hard on it.

Itâs raining and thereâs no free coffee and surprise, surprise⊠not a weekender in sight. I am literally the only spectator here. Thereâs more Victory fans here and theyâre not even training! Oh no, look at whatâs on the fieldâŠ

Speaking of past players, last night on 360 Garry said something Iâm sure he rarely says publicly. He and Gerard were discussing the demise of Carlton and the comparison to us was drawn, with Garry starting his sentence with, âThe team I barrack forâŠâ This was monumental for mine. Garry routinely distances himself from us in an attempt to appear impartial but he (likely unconsciously) overcompensates.

Yes! Not long after that beautiful video was released I ran into Jeff Farmer at halftime at the âGabba or Carrara, I canât remember which one. Anyways we talked about the vid and he said that Goody and Clarrie are now forever considered family. He explained the significance (in his culture) of being embraced as part of their family and how revered this honour is and how itâs eternal.

Joey Montagna on First Crack went one further and said we should not trade him for anything, period.

You reckon correctly, YA. Of the many, many reasons that will see him remain a Dee, a huge one is his relationship with Goody. This should never be underestimated.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
He doesnât dye or even tint his hair. The sun brings out a ranga-type hue. Yesterday however, it looked as though heâd OD-ed on hair product. Nothing nor no one was messing up that bouffant đ

It wasnât an interview. He said this to one of our DA stalwarts.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
