  1. Whereā€™s @Demonstone when we need him?
  2. Yes but played 100+ games for us and only 30-odd for his second club.
  3. I think youā€™re right about that on both counts. It could also be that Richo is the biggest pizz-taker in the world. After all, he did once tell me to go on Demonland and tell everyone that Vines was crook in the stomach because heā€™d eaten a prawn despite knowing its poop-shute hadnā€™t been removed, which wasnā€™t true. I canā€™t trust a word he says šŸ˜…
  4. It may well be some sort of training award except it was at the beginning of the session, not the end. I was tasked by another track-watcher/Demonlander (he knows who he is šŸ˜) with finding out what the adulation was for. I forgot about it and when I went to leave, Salo was the only person still there so I asked him. He said he didnā€™t know what it was all about coz he wasnā€™t paying attention coz he was still half asleep and if I found out could I please tell him šŸ˜…
  5. I canā€™t wait ā€˜til he proves you wrong. It will be sweet and believe me Iā€™ll remind you regularly. Not sure I can chalk up as many mentions as you do when you have something to say but Iā€™ll try my damndest.
  6. The poor bugger was a deer in the headlights when the ball came near him. Heā€™d only just met everyone at the beginning of the session, players and training staff alike. For the first 15 minutes or so he was kicking and handballing with Noah, just the two of them. Nek minnit heā€™s out there playing with the big boys and at times he seemed overwhelmed. Heā€™s not tall and heā€™s of slight build. Goody said theyā€™re just ā€œseeing how he goes.ā€
  7. I thought it was Ryder Brown too. Had myself convinced he had a similar gait to Pup and the same body-type: long body, short legs, low centre of gravity. So I asked around and it seemed no one was sure who he was. Then Richo told a couple of us he was a f/s and told us his name. After training I was introduced to him as a different first name but another Demonlander has worked out he is the f/s about whom Richo told us only Richo got his first name wrong. So yeah, heā€™s the son of a former player but for some reason Richo stressed we canā€™t post it anywhere.
  8. No ā˜¹ļø Which is unfortunate because he was playing for a charity and the other contestants werenā€™t. He had Neita in the audience as his person you bring along with you and he was playing for the MND charity Daniher Drive which I think he and Neita and some other past players founded.
  9. Guy is a contestant on the show Tipping Point right now, and heā€™s in the lead!
  10. He made a point of saying itā€™s nothing, he canā€™t even feel anything amiss at all, the club is simply not taking even the slightest unnecessary chance. I hadnā€™t asked him about it, he brought it up and the thing with Shane is that he canā€™t hide when heā€™s bummed out over an injury. It really shows. But he is just as buoyant and confident as he has been lately and thatā€™s very telling.
  11. Good question because I felt the mood was a little flatter than usual today and two fellow track-watchers agreed. But two other track-watchers whoā€™d spent most of the time on the opposite side of the ground said there was still the awesome vibes weā€™ve had of late. I just put it down to the players on our side playing a match sim of sorts and the players on the other side doing whatever they were doing šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
  12. Shane-o has a very slight hammy niggle. Nothing to worry about. He acknowledged heā€™s greatly improved fitness-wise and is very happy with where heā€™s at both physically and mentally. He admitted he wasnā€™t in a good place when he first came to us and said this was largely due to adapting to living in Melb taking a lot longer than expected, and being injured. I reckon the clubā€™s patience will pay off, and will do so sooner rather than later šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  13. Six months I believe.
  14. Noah Yze was there. As for that second boy who we were told is a father/son and yes, sworn to secrecy, something funnyā€™s going on because Harves introduced me to him and heā€™s not who we were told he is. Different name, not a F/S šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
  15. Luker a ā€œstrong possibilityā€ to be put on the LTI list. Charles Spargo ā€œno chance at allā€ to be on that list (I had to ask since heā€™s still not in full training).
  16. Taj absent today because he was ā€œfeeling crookā€ this morning. Nothing serious. Heā€™ll be at training on Friday. Spaz wearing goggles while training coz he doesnā€™t want dirt to get in his eye. His eyelid was split during training last week when an unnamed teammate accidentally stood on his face. Heā€™s had plastic surgery (you canā€™t even tell) and is mindful of keeping it clean.
  17. Thereā€™s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to get up and out from under ā€œthe packā€ to get the ball and all I can see is that scene from Kindergarten Cop
  18. Maysieā€™s here though.
  19. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didnā€™t train. Today heā€™s training but heā€™s wearing goggles so heā€™s likely got an eye injury.
  20. Kozzie a no show šŸ˜ž
  21. Itā€™s not on the MFC website but theyā€™ll be training at Goschā€™s next Wednesday (Feb 12th) unless that changes for whatever reason. You fly out on the 15th so I hope you can make it that day šŸ’–
  22. And it works a treat, right? Hitherto, my method was to start at 300 then subtract three over and over (297, 294, 291, etc.) ā€˜til you get to zero, before which time youā€™re usually asleep. This method works because itā€™s just enough to keep your mind from wandering but not so much that itā€™s stimulating and therefore keeping you awake. In summary, footy canā€™t start soon enough. šŸ˜…
  23. I know all the menā€™s and womenā€™s numbers because as an aid to falling asleep I go through them numerically in my head. Itā€™s a sure-fire method which I was told about by a fellow-Demonlander at Goschā€™s (canā€™t remember who, but thanks all the same šŸ˜Š) and Iā€™ve taken it further by going through them in reverse should I still be awake at the end of the list.
  24. Firstlyā€¦ ewww Iā€™m talking to an Essendon supporter. Anyways, this is a great initiative. Just wondering: can spectators make a donation on the day with a card, or is it cash only? Soz. Just noticed your original postā€¦ cash only. All good šŸ‘šŸ½
  25. How proud Ricky must feel having Jake and Jack and Kate and their families there. I love our club for making occasions like this happen. Itā€™s invaluable.
