You might’ve heard it from me. I told JvR that some folks were saying we should maybe play him in defence and others are saying nah leave him forward but not rucking. He said he’s happy to play either position and as for rucking he said he doesn’t mind it especially now that “it turns out I’m pretty good at it.” He certainly doesn’t hate it.

The ONLY reason he met with Geelong is because he figured if he was to be booted out he’d rather be at a Victorian club than an interstate club and Adelaide was the club he was being dangled in front of. He decided to take matters into his own hands because he felt HE HAD TO & NOT because he WANTED TO. And that’s a fact.

This is exactly how I believe the conversation would’ve gone. Clarrie wears his huge heart on his sleeve. Had the meeting gone the way the journos want us to believe, you would NOT see a funny post from Clarrie. You’d see either an angry post or total silence, the latter being the most likely of the two. I truly believe Clarrie would sooner change roles or play for Casey than move to another club. When he says he loves the MFC, he means it.

During the second week of the trade period you may see media reports that Fritta was spotted at Brisbane airport, which naturally means he’s meeting with the Lions, right? He will indeed be in Brisbane but that’s because he and Nat (his partner) will be attending Nat’s best friend’s wedding, and for no other reason.

it’s funny, I didn’t notice him use “we” when referring to Geelong but I certainly noticed the “we” and “our” and “us” when talking about MFC. As with Paul, this is instantly endearing, although I pulled Paul up about an interview he did wherein he said “… we won the premiership in 2021…” I told him, “You’ve been with us for five minutes and you’re claiming our premiership as yours?!” 😅 This morning’s interview with Kingy is a great listen and instils much confidence. I love the way he answers questions; he’s a straight talker and doesn’t baulk at any question. He said “Chomping at the bit” instead of “Champing at the bit” but I’ll forgive him for this 😝

How refreshing it is to see someone actually entertaining the possibility that Tracc never even said such a thing. Makes a nice change from the majority on here who are ready to hang him based on something Tom Morris wrote. Mind you, Morris didn’t say that Tracc said we’re pushing him out, Morris said that Tracc feels we’re pushing him out. How he knows how Tracc feels about anything is a mystery, to me anyways.

Where in the article you quoted (above) does it say Tracc likes the term Brand Petracca? Coz all I’m seeing is yet another media person using that term (despite Tracc hating it) because he’s/she’s free to bandy it about.

Not sure if he attends games but he keeps abreast of how we’re travelling. He says next year will be better because the changes that needed to be made were made. He spoke very highly of Goody.
