While Lyon does have some background involvement, I wonder how close he to the Club. He did not make the 150 walk because of an appointment clash and was only aware of the event recently. I was lucky enough to go to the 150 Heroes function last night and had an amazing time. The MFC should be congratulated on the event, it was fantastic. The players were great, all so accessible and freindly. it was a real CLUB feeling. Garry Lyon's speech was spine tingling when he asked the current crop of players to stand up and told them that they were our heroes at the moment.. awesome. Chris Connolly was amazing, Barass and Noel McMahen and Don Cordner ... just brilliant.

Yeah, they played one position and one position only. Lyon played about 5, including alot of his early career at CHB, all australian in fact. Apples and oranges.

No, he is a front runner, will never be a great player! struggling at the moment to be a good player. If some people on here are saying he is having a good year, then that is testament to his career so far.... I would throw him on the trade table and see what we might get for him..

The problem with to mant people is they forget the past, due to the bleak present and the possible bleaker future... Yze has been a sensational servant of this club. He deserves alot more than half the players playing in our team at the moment. Ooze will go down as one of my fav demon players, and he is showing class an grace at the moment the way he is conducting himself at Sandy.

what 's happening in Brisbane at the moment is just plain sad. It's just horrible to watch a team play the way we are... Fundamental mistakes and a lack of pressure that is unbeleivable. Kerr is looking to get out of Perth, needs a freshen up apparently. He has a preference, and it is Carlton from all reports.. would the Dee's be interetsted in him.. i would think so especially if he slips through to the Pre season draft...
