The whole lack of a major sponsor thing is starting to worry me. I had it on very good mail that they had agreed to terms with a major food company from OS to be their sponsor, and were about to sign the dotted line then the financial gloabal meltdown stopped it.. does not sound good for future suiters

The best thing is the article, great to see the whole town has now turned red and blue. Good Times! There is momentum building at our club ecveryone, it's exciting, hard work ahead, but good things come to those who wait.. and we have waited a long time, so we must be getting some great things in the future. I Love my club!

Wrong wrong Wrong.. "Defensive pressure is over-rated as a forward" thats a joke, and a very ignorant football statement, tell that to Aaron Davey who made it fashionable. The reason Why Newton wasnt given a go, is because he had the attitude of a spoilt kid, played like a bloke drinking champagne on a beer budget. If he gets back to basics, then he might have a shot. As it stands he is No where near it!

I cant see Rockliff's name on any of the permission to train lists. I get the media rreleases, and he is not on them. Not doubting anyone, just keen to know if he is actually invited to train with the Dee's. I really beleive we need to take some height with this pick.. it's almost a free hit i reckon..

Also impressed with Josh mahoney.. seems to have a good outlook and keeps things in perspective very nicely. Anyone that can have a clever little jibe at the filth is doing all the right things. Again, a really good feel about the club, we are on the rise, i can feel it! Go dee's.

You guys are kidding yourself, just another case of Tall poppy i think. Garry is a great supporter of the club, i find it really disrespectful to challenge his support for the club he bled for. What really annoys me is that some people cannot seperate someone's professional life from other things. To many people want an eddie or now even James Brayshaw involvement for Garry.. get over it, and just reflect on what he gave the club before you start having a cheap unqualified shot at one of our greats!

Nice to see our former champ and skipper G Lyon down at Casey today for the announcement! Their is a nice feel about our club at the moment!

Yeah, really good point.. Maybe Jimma will join the coaching panel as well, save some dough.. !!!

Just some thoughts if you have them on a big announcement expected of a "true champion of the game" to the MFC coaching panel. Who do you think? Scott West is my tip, but interested to find out if others know more.

I Think Lyon into the centre and completeley dominated as well...

Mine was one night against Richmond, after neil Balme had been sacked, and Lyon had not played for ages with his back, but decided to play, he couldnt move, got about 2 touches, but in my opinion was nearly best on Ground, his leadership, and courage that night was awesome. 88 finals series was brilliant until the main game.. But my all time favourite memory is yet to happen, i will tell you in 5 years after we are winning flags..

Charlie gardiner, just been delisted by the Saints, in a PSD cupboard that is pretty bare, maybe he is an option.. i personally not a fan of him, but just after thoughts, he is not really the answer, on the oldish side, slow, one dimensional.. Maybe i just answered my own question...

I think we must have a fair dinkum crack at ROK. While it is unlikely he will agree to our terms, i think we need to be seen to be aggressive. Nothing wrong with doing it privately, and not through the media, but give him the chance to think about us. Murphey is a gem, but wont move from the blues!

Ease up.. seriously think about it.. who did we want? Warnock.. fair enough we had a crack at him, didnt work out. Prismall is on the sidelines with a Knee reco.. it would have been a risk.. We kept our picks, we rebuild, we build, nothing pathetic about that!

so now that warnock and Prismall both gone, who will we target in the PSD?

Their is a distinct uncanny likeness to one skinny 18 year old who burst onto the scene in 1986. A versatile player who could play wing, foward or back, and did when he put on weight. He went onto be a champion of our club, a young man who couldnt carry anything on his shoulders at the start of his career, but by the end of it, he had carried this football club across the line more than i can remember! G Lyon = C Morton.

Relax mate, i think it's time we left the new set up to get on with it, we all support Jimmy raising $2m plus last month, but now you second guess an appointment that is crucial to the club, lets give it time.. .. embrace the change or be constructive.. we are all in it together!
