Would Port really givepick 9/10 for Jamar? seems way over the odds to me. I want to know from all fans, do we want Burgoyne? simple yes or no. i am undecided. if the majority is yes, then pick 18 and Jamar for him maybe?

i hope that all players, like supporters and coaching staff can see the bigger picture, that last year, there were certain things that were a prioroty.. If you were smart, and understood the position, every player should want to play for Melbourne now, as there will never be a year like we just had, it's full noise from here, And Aaron Davey should hang in there, just like all the supporters have. I really dont want him to go, we gave him a chance when no one else did and he should be a demon forever.

Couple things mate, i clarified the Bailey thing straight away to say it wont happen straight away, but it will happen, and you will see, that it will happen and i will be correct. I also said the demons were showing interest in Charman, they were, no doubt about it, whether anything happens remains to be seen. i think you will find my record is pretty good here. You feel free to write what you want, but i am just reporting what i hear, i have no reason to make things up.

Didnt hear that from Radio, work close to a couple journo's that are usually pretty spot on with this stuff. For what its worth, i agree with most people, 4 years are very rare now, and i would think 3 years is more than fair. we have to be careful at the demons that the dog still wags the tail not the other way round. Maybe offer him 3 years and the captaincy?

From what i am hearing, Davey has been offered 3 years, but wants 4.. there is still alot of work to be done to keep him...

Alot of feeling on the boards about Brock. I dont hate him... i just dont liek him anymore, he is now a player in an opposition side, another enemy. His heart does not bleed red and blue, because you dont leave like that.. Pick 11 will do just nicely. Brock is 23, plays like he is 33 and drinks like he is 53!

I will be so furious if we gave up Rivers.. he reads the ball about as good as anyone in the comp, and people say we probably have to many key backs is crazy, we are building a great backline and Rivers is almost what we build it around. No trade for mine!

its great news.. for everyone. Garry is great with the junior football and the kids will learn alot and so will Garry and takes the heat of bailey for a couple years.

Andrew maher is just another in the long line of melbourne haters who dont get it. Garry Lyon got up him about his hysterics a few weeks ago it was awesome.. he just is a man who wishes he played footy because he is so desperate to be involved and be worthy.. 5 start tool!

Did some more investigating last night, and it will happen, but they may wait now to take the heat out of the season. I think its great, he deserves 2 years with the list he has shaped to see if he can do great things with them!

Gazz'z name will come up when anything melbourne is mentioned.. For what it's worth, i think Bailey has done everything that we should have expected. I beleive that one of the main selling points of his interview was that he said he is prepared to lose and lose alot in the present in order to start winning and winning alot in the future. Good on him, he read the play well. Thats why i think you cannot judge him until seasons end next year. Gains would want to have been made, otherwise he will feel pressure, it's part of the natural order in AFL. While we all have different opinions, i still think its great we can voice them. God i love my club and really, success will be for us and it will be worth waiting for. Peace!

Not sure your in the position to sit there and say that he couldnt be passionate about things just because he has another lucrative job... having or not having a lucrative career does not make anyone more or less passionate about things.. i And your missing the whole point anyway, he has never said he wants to coach us, didnt want to 2 years ago, does not now, so its a nothing argument.. which is why i get frustrated at people having a go at him. for years he has been damned if he didnt coach us, now it appears he is damned if he does coach us. Anyway mate, we are both on the same side, just at opposite ends of teh ground. Enjoyed the banter!

Well i think he deserves better than comments like this: "Attempting to slide into the head coach position through the back door would not be befitting of someone who is a champion of this club..." He would never do it. And why couldnt he just have a passion for young kids playing the game without it meaning he "is getting in the system to be considered for a senior role" I'm sure Jason MCartney does not want to be considered for a senior role, yet he is coaching young kids. It's a cop out to suggest he is after the top job when he has done nothing, and said nothing to suggest he is.

Here's an idea, how about we read and LISTEN to what Garry said. Not interested in coaching at the moment, wont even contemplate it for another 2 years. And i reckon he deserves more respect from people on here and to take him on his word, rather that pointless speculation. We as a club are better than that, and he does plenty for the club, so instead or critisising him, how about we embrace him.

Million to one that dangerfield ends up in a demon jumper next year. Crows wont do it. Saying that, would like it. But it's a case of better the devil you know. for the crows and they will keep danger in SA.
