If Essendon didnt give pick 31 another club would have done a deal with the cats. Ess had to give that pick or another club would have done a similar the deal with Gee. Gee had something they didnt want and took offers for the pick and sold it to Ess. Ess wasnt the only club buying. there was no bluff

Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup
One thing to remember is he was playing high half forward as he was playing WAFL seniors. If he was playing Colts he more than likely would have been playing mid and been picked as a mid. Playing seniors in that positioned showed he has real potential to develop into a somebody who can play both positions at a high level. Anyone that can do that well is a real game changer. ie Dusty, trac, Danger

name the other mid size forwards on our list that can also play mid. I'll start, Petracca, you go with the remainder 18...... Essendon didn't trump Geelong for Caddy it was other clubs that had offers to Geelong. Essendon's was the best offer.

So for most part of the year all the talk is Grundy cant play forward, it doesn't work, why is Melb trying to turn a ruckman into a forward?? why is melb playing Gawn forward and Grundy in the ruck. It takes away Gawns strength as the dominate big man in the game. etc etc and then why didnt we play Grundy in a final. Ask yourself, and Goody said it before the game. Schache play back if needed. Could Grundy? Schache can play fwd if needed. Could Grundy? Schache play ruck if needed. Could Grundy? I'll take Schache in 2 out of 3. Schache covered all bases Grundy didnt. The face he didnt come on to replace Tmac is a different argument.- The Pick 1 Thread

Not quite. One of the clubs during a recent interview asked which 3 clubs would he like to play for? His response was the club who he was being interviewed by (he didn't specify the club), Geelong who he supports and Collingwood because of the crowds.- Farewell Brodie Grundy
It was always going to be done before Fullarton. There was no need for Fullarton if the Grundy deal fell through and he ended up staying.- Welcome to Demonland: Pick 11
