I most definitely agree with your last sentence. Also the fact that we had the vast majority of WA football fans that hopped on the Demon bus. Trust me, they were loud, very loud. I was lucky enough to make it over there. I reckon at the GF it was around a 65/35 split, maybe even a 70/30 split and the noise was unbelievable. Think West Coast and Freo supporters combined, charged up, enjoying the show, particularly when we got going in the third quarter (yes, including the booing). Our players must have relished all that. It was pure magic. Last but not least, let’s not forget the fortnight earlier when we busted Geelong out of the park. I reckon it might have even been more noisy then. My theory being that they must really hate Geelong. Crowd would have been say a 75/25 split. Most memorable moment? When the whole crowd started chanting ‘Gawny, Gawny….’ You just had to be there.

On reflection…….it has all been strange and weird.

Hopefully a few more of us supporters rock up to our games next year….wait for it…..for big Max’s sake. We owe him.

GWS. They were robbed by the umpires against the Ferals for their chance to play in a GF last year - which more likely than not would have won. Good luck to them for this year (Hawks playing the most crowd pleasing footy at the moment)

One upside about Freo losing. We all get a chance to see Carlton lose again in a fortnight.

Looking ahead- my excuse for hating Dockland stadium. I swear when I got on to the ticketing system earlier today I could not access any general admission tickets. FOMO kicked in and I bought a reserved seat for mega bucks. Whinging to one of my kids earlier this evening, and you guessed it, when we had a look - there were the GA’s right on top!. Yep, I’m old and obviously am a dinosaur! GO DEES! I want to get my money’s worth tomorrow night.
