  1. It will just feel like Groundhog Day
  2. Close to them doubling our score
  3. JVR?
  4. Sadly, I really can’t disagree with you. But…..2022 our injuries didn’t help us (but we made the top four). In 2023, we again made the final four but we managed to lose both games that we had won. Sooo close And 2024, poor. So….I have to agree with you. ☹️
  5. No matter what may happen to him now or in the future, I will always remember him as the coach that got us our first flag in over half a century.
  6. Totally agree that with us you can get a good idea if we are a chance very early on in the game. Somehow I find it is easier to make the call when actually at the game as opposed to watching it on the telly I normally make the call at the 10 minute mark. Last week sadly, it was fairly obvious after 5 minute.
  7. Kozzie owes us, to be quite frank, aside from the game against GWS in round one, the whole team owes us
  8. How do I feel about tonight? Generally speaking when it comes to football I’m an optimist. But sadly this year footy which is like a religion to me has just become just a game and after this week I might even end up hating the game. The only upside to all this is I tend to get things wrong. I picked the Dees to win in the first three weeks, I now have tipped them to lose. Hope I’m wrong again.
  9. It was very difficult to try and explain to a couple of my Collingwood mates that by barracking for Carlton to lose did not mean that I was barracking for Collingwood.
  10. I believe Hawthorn were zip and three this time last year…….so I have a glimmer of hope, but just a glimmer, that we will still play finals this year Going to put off taking the reality pill for as long as I can.
  11. Totally agree Six word summary of MFC Full of promise, continues to disappoint. I’m normally an optimist, a glass half full type person. At the moment the glass looks bone dry.
  12. Yep, it’s an away game next week at Geelong….I won’t be there.
  13. Maybe so they can book accommodation at Buller
  14. I’d even settle for an unimpressive win
  15. The Collingwood / umpires alliance make for a formidable force.
  16. And without having a go at North (every team on its day can be a threat) why would you not include him in the side that is to play North?
  17. All in all a good night last night. Happy for Yze. Another way to look at it is if Collingwood for some reason no longer existed, Carlton would be ‘it’.
  18. And not only lose, they got flogged. GWS 200%. Ferals 50% …. and Round one hasn’t even started. There is a god.
  19. I reckon this looks great but unfortunately every time I look at it it also makes me think of Carlton…..this is not good☹️
  20. How is this for luck. Used to get general membership for a number of years for my kids and me. At the start of 2021 one of my kids came out of the closet so to speak and told me he had for a number of years been a Port Adelaide supporter. Obviously this brought great shame to our family. (My therapist says it’s good for me to talk about these things) From memory just before the Collingwood game that same year, I took up an offer from MFC to upgrade membership to a GF guarantee. Took up the offer, I really thought that we were a chance as well as a bit of FOMO. I think that week Covid also meant we couldn’t attend any more home games in Vic. Such is. Cut a long story short, went off travelling up north and rather than head home went first to SA then WA (legally) and managed to attend all our finals games including the big one! Feel now obligated to renew membership each year without question (I’m on auto renewal). As an aside, everyone talks about the GF over there in 2021. The game against Geelong a fortnight earlier (where we smashed them) was right up there too. The atmosphere was electric. WA supporters obviously hate Geelong as well. Go Dees! .
  21. The good old Feral Hun. Sometimes I think they are not even sure when they are peddling disinformation, misinformation or simply making a mistake (which I think they did this time)
  22. Totally 100% agree. Would love to see the boys taking the training track intensity out onto the ground this year. Want opposition teams and supporters to see a fully motivated team with silky skills that does not take a backward step. A team on a mission.
  23. My anger was actually more directed towards the absolutely horrible disgusting pack mentality of large sections of the Collingwood crowd that emerged and permeated across the ground when they started that slow repetitive chant of ‘Collllllingwood’ whilst an opposition was lying unconscious on the ground. Never have I felt so angry and disgusted attending a football game. It was really shameful what happened that night with large sections of the crowd. It was a very tense, putrid period of time when it was all unfolding. I despise the ‘filth culture’ as opposed to their actual team. (Don’t get me wrong, I still ‘love to hate’ Cox and Maynard for example, miss hating Ginnivan and quietly admire Elliot, he is a great player in my opinion). Bottom line, I have hated the Filth for so many reasons over the years. It just increased again that night.
  24. Players who need a big year…..everyone!
  25. My approach is:- When we are doing well- ‘it’s more than a game’ When we are not doing well - ‘it’s just a game’ Go Dees!
