If you look through the contract lists there seems to be an attempt to spread the years so that we don't find ourselves in a Woods type position. I don't know if it would be comfortable to renegotiate all 3 "go home factor" players in the same year.

It's been announced that McCartney has been signed to coach the Ballarat Roosters for the next 3 years. I wonder if the Roosters might have ideas about joining the new second tier comp? I can see the pitch to the AFL; Mars Stadium and the fastest growing inland City in the Country.

Keep for one more year then reassess. Value will still be there plus Max will be a year older. Supporters are always pushing for the next big thing in the draft but in a compromised draft year sometimes it's better to have patience and have a quality backup if required.

That's a bit unfair on Dunks and Sauce considering the difference in ages and experience. If the AFL reduces list sizes I would be keeping the young ones with potential upside rather than the "known" quantities.

Clarry was interviewed briefly after the Adelaide win and was asked something along the line of his improving performance and he said Burgo wanted him to take 5 quick steps if he received the ball and wasn't under immediate pressure. If you look at the last 3 games it's obvious that's what he is doing and it's allowing him to kick more. Simple but genius.
