WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
dworship replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have my opinion regarding this comment but I would like to see some comment from the track watchers during preseason. -
In Burgess we trust and I think there are a few on here who don't understand that this is Preuss 2.0. Will not be happy to be proven wrong.

Ever has it been so.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
dworship replied to xman97's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think it's the result of the facial injury he sustained last year and is a kind of bruising that never goes away. A mate of mine was set on by two thugs outside a pub and suffered a fractured cheek bone and lower part of the eye socket. 10yrs later he still sports a 'mouse' under that eye. If you look closely at Mitch Hannan in an interview he has one also. I've also known of others and the use of makeup to try and hide it. Hopefully one of the Medicos on here could add more. -
Drunk?

You also answer to No I Dear correct?

Yes I did, twice, and yes I know you commented about Spargo in the quote above... but Your previous comment " Tomlinson was good tonight with his run and dash and creates an extra option with his hard running and work ethic. He stays in." This comment needs challenging. So I say; Tmac has been asked to put on extra bulk to play KF but tonight showed he is still a better big winger than Tomlinson. I think Tomlinson will be looking for a third club if the current forward setup continues to show the improvement it has to date and TMac will take the wing position Tomlinson was brought in for. For me; In: Maxy and Viney Out: Tomlinson and Jones

Settle down, that's my job! For clarification; that's in a non sexual way. (Don't want BBO getting the wrong idea).

Ah, a Fremantle supporter with 20/20 hindsight. The foresight aspect at your club is somewhat up for debate.
-
And that's one of your worst snipes ever considering the circumstances this season. I call fowl!
-
Leave my 15yr old out of it!
-
While I understand your point, based on your logic, Cozzie should have received 2 free kicks and not been fined $1500! Then again those decisions were made by Umpires not "Agenda's"
-
Aptly enough I believe it's called eating crow.
-
NO! I'M SPARTACUS!
-
Well seeing how I watched it then I'm within my rights to have an opinion. How about you go watch it!
-
So the outcome has no relevance any more? A guy who uses his momentum (all 70kg and 171cm) brings down a 90kg and 193cm player and it is somehow deemed dangerous? The Brisbane player was stunned.... he got a free!! The more I see the less I like this game and where it's headed. Congrats to Goodwin tonight for defending our players on AFL 360... not! Goodwin better be saying other things behind closed doors because players can sense BS!

I've now had a chance to review Gus's first half and found it instructive. I acknowledge he wasn't perfect but using objective analysis (effective play, broke even, ineffective play) I found there was a lot more positives than negatives. Happy to concede 2 real clangers during the half. Although the worst of those (that some on here want to crucify him for) being the scrubber along the ground actually turned out to be an effective kick. I thought he was involved in a number of scoring chains and by definition; if he was ineffective we would not have scored. It was insightful to watch the first half and just watch for Gus and I found his positioning when he didn't have the ball was just as important. We can all be guilty of confirmation bias and in my case I'm most guilty of this when reading SWYL posts. Another example would be Saty where some peoples bias toward him actually negates what others see as significant contribution. Objectively, I found that the use of the adjective "abysmal" in describing his first half to be inaccurate and not supported by the real facts. To add further weight to this I've included Daisy's comments regarding one piece of play late in the first half. Based on the above I cannot see Gus being dropped anytime soon and that's a fact (well actually an opinion). Daisy comment.wav

Always thought you had an apt moniker.
-
Like I said, I'll need to watch the 1st half again
-
Abysmal definition is - immeasurably low or wretched : extremely poor or bad. I will have to watch the replay. While I agree he made some mistakes is the adjective really accurate or did he do some good things too?
-
I don't really expect an answer from SWYL. No doubt it will be Chinese whispers from his media contacts and by definition will be without substance.
-
What kind of things?
-
Melksham rested, TMac in
-
Some of your best work!

Has anyone sighted Jones? I haven't.
