  1. Nope, perhaps you should let the adults do the funny stuff next time.
  2. And this makes up for all the momentum stealing and goals that get kicked against us? I'm no longer a happy clapper when they pay us a free and the opposition take 30 secs to return the ball while they remonstrate with the umpire. HEY AFL!! PAY ATTENTION! THERE IS A RULE CALLED DELAY OF GAME, START ENFORCING THAT AND SEE HOW MUCH THE GAME SPEEDS UP!
  3. Thanks for your contribution, with a name like Loges I'll assume you're just an empty vessel like the rest of the .... people in the media
  4. I tried to make a habit of not reading/ commenting on this site after a loss (and for that matter a win). But tonight I cannot help myself. I understand the angst and the heartbreak of seeing so many try and fail. But can someone that understands logic please explain to me how any Umpire with half a brain can say " I know he didn't have prior opportunity but he has to make a genuine attempt" What muppet wrote this (if indeed that is what the rule is) and coaches /instructs the Umpires. Surely, if you don't have prior opportunity you cannot have any kind of attempt genuine or otherwise. I saw this incorrectly payed as a free multiple times across the round. MFCSS of course dictates that it's payed to the opposition 20m out directly in front, halts all our momentum and the make up one is paid with no chance of it having any influence on the scores. I'm rapidly getting to the stage that I will not watch any AFL games other than to watch a Melbourne win after the fact. I often hear it said that you need people who understand football, making decisions/ changes at AFL house. I would just settle for someone that understands logic.
  5. And the 300k of people in lock-down suburbs
  6. Well, apart from the contract with the MCC that is.
  7. Well except for Kozie, mind you 3 forwards taller than Robo and 3 the same height as him is hardly a mosquito fleet. Plenty of pace and pressure too. No wonder Taylor was "managed". If we get it in there enough the Cat's will have some headaches.
  8. If the other forwards kick 12 between them then TMac will stay in the team even if he doesn't even have a shot on goal.
  9. We may have been called soft for a short period but at least we weren't called the "Hand Baggers" for decades. Apologies to "Jack Russell" just in case she is offended by that term.
  10. Ditto
  11. I have Fence on ignore so clearly a no from me.
  12. dworship replied to Farmer's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Nevs 180cm and 83kg
  13. You don't get to 38000 posts by worrying about content.
  14. It appears you are incorrect. And no, I wasn't born at home.
  15. Do you mean drop kick?
  16. WTF has that got to do with what I posted?
  17. Is there any chance Mckenna was exposed to the virus while in his 14 day isolation at a designated Hotel? That has people who are positive for the virus. On day 10 of isolation he comes in contact with lets say a security guard who somehow has the virus. I've often wondered about putting all the potential virus carriers in the one spot for 14 days. Perhaps a more prudent practice might be a further period of isolation at home (and testing) if you have been in a known location of infected.
  18. So now I'm regretting this because I may have pushed you to far. I'm concerned for you, if you genuinely believe you are faultless in this please PM me and say "relent"
  19. Yep and he should have just PM me and we might have been able to sort it out. Being the "self - righteous ........... person, I am. If I'm wrong I will fall on my sword, issue a public apology and never post here ever again.
  20. See this is why you should have PM me. This isn't what this thread is about. But ok "Ray Watson", "Sunray". You stated "I've been banging on about this for the past couple of years, since when Maxy was already a 26Yrs old." I've asked you for further and better particulars and you've created bogus identities. Don't you remember when you were quizzed about your identity a while back and you said you were a new poster? Off you go, create a new Id, you might have more luck next time.
  21. Actually it's a consequence, I gave you a get out. I'm not partial to liars. Plain enough.
  22. So any chance you can re-post what you said back then? Looks like it might have been insightful. If you've been around for a while you know I can be a bit of a dog with a bone especially with the avoidance of answers to the questions I ask. So if you are someone who's reluctant to answer those questions feel free to PM me and ask me to relent. Alternatively you could go and create another persona.
  23. Any chance you can re-post what you said back then? Looks like it might have been insightful.
  24. So what name were you going by back then?
  25. WHACK, I'll slink off with my tail between my legs now and with my self - righteousness in tatters. The posts before Dee Z were less than inspiring in their analysis. That didn't mean other people didn't read and understand what the gist was, just that they didn't post a reply. As things transpired I thought the thread has ultimately evoked some great and and thoughtful analysis including yours ( I think I was the first to like your contribution). Some of that response has helped me modify some of my opinions and reconsider some of the underlying factors. This is a great site but I always preferred "Ology in the early days as there were less posters but the content was more considered and there wasn't the egos that we have here. On here, I have a habit of throwing a metaphorical hand grenade in to see who throws themselves on it. All being keyboard users on here we don't get the feedback and nuance of face to face communication so it takes time to sort out those who have substance and opinions that are well thought out and articulated. I know some people can find my style on here abrasive and condescending and I do take ownership of that. Unfortunately, I don't care much about a Muppet's feelings (and no I don't think you are a Muppet ). Now many people will take offence at that and I admit it is a character flaw that has become more obvious as I get older. I was told by a mentor many years ago to surround myself with people who have a positive mindset that you can learn from. I realise I should probably infiltrate the Richmond and Collingwood forums and put my traits to better use but what the heck, it would be like shooting fish in a barrel. If you want to take on the defense of others on here that is a matter for you.
