  1. Cam Bruce is going to be around forever. He's that kind of player. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still here when he's 34. Massive endurance, light frame, good preparation all adds up to a long-lived player. Same with Cale Morton. He'll still be playing at Melbourne in 2025!
  2. Play until the ball goes out of bounds. If it's still a draw, then that's it.
  3. You might want to get that checked out. Is it red?
  4. Watch for somebody to think that means "Jack Watts' attitude is terrible and he has no leadership ability around the club, he doesn't want to win a premiership and is happy to accept anything from other players."
  5. OMG!! A Jack Watts thread. How original. OMG!! A Josh Mahoney thread. How original.
  6. We're better this year than we were, but we're still not good enough to beat Victorian teams at the MCG. I would argue that we're still crap based on that.
  7. McKenzie adds something to this team that his non-performance at Casey belies. His tacking and in-and-under, quick-handball-out-of-the-pack work is something that this team really needs. Bring him in and leave him there until that stuff disappears, because it is so important to the way we play. INS: Frawley, McKenzie, Dunn OUTS: Watts, Jones (inj), McDonald (inj).
  8. Thanks, Captain Obvious.
  9. Let's just wait until we have a fit Jack Watts, Austin Wonaeamirri, Liam Jurrah, Ricky Petterd, Matthew Bate and Brad Green in there together. I'd like to see what they can all do for each other before calling it one way or another.
  10. And Carlton supporters could say take out the second half of the first quarter and the firs half of the last quarter and we would have absolutely smashed Melbourne. You've got to take the good with the bad, and today, our bad far outweighed our good.
  11. Well, it's certainly not a rousing success.
  12. Agreed, but he's in, so we have to wonder why. Perhaps his leadership is the reason. Or, as Jaded suggested, he's being given games in an attempt to figure out once and for all whether he has a future here. Who knows? I certainly don't.
  13. Rivers is still in because of his leadership ability, I'd say. They really talk him up in that regard, so I'm not surprised he's still in. Similar to Bruce, there must be things he does that we simply can't see.
  14. Well, well, well. He'd be feeling pretty bad tonight. I wanted to see us play against a team with him in it, but I guess he's Carlton's problem now.
  15. I still love Chook, but I love the Demons a hell of a lot more. Does anyone even think he'd still make it into our best 22? If not, then I would say he did us and him a favour by leaving.
  16. No. I think he thinks other people think so, if you follow me.
  17. I'm glad they fixtured us to play Geelong the round after our game in Darwin. Losing to Geelong is much better than losing to Richmond, as Port Adelaide did. I'm not too disappointed.
  18. Trengully is a significantly better name, too. That's my preferred name for the duo. But seriously, how hard is it to write "Scully and Trengove"?
  19. I'm not mad. It's just that it seemed like you thought my suggestion had no merit whatsoever.
  20. I dropped Rivers who was shocking, Macdonald who is too slow to play against the Blues' mobile forward-line, and a guy who is injured. So sue me.
