  1. Shows how crap we still are.
  2. Thanks, Captain Obvious.
  3. Let's just wait until we have a fit Jack Watts, Austin Wonaeamirri, Liam Jurrah, Ricky Petterd, Matthew Bate and Brad Green in there together. I'd like to see what they can all do for each other before calling it one way or another.
  4. And a little soft.
  5. And Carlton supporters could say take out the second half of the first quarter and the firs half of the last quarter and we would have absolutely smashed Melbourne. You've got to take the good with the bad, and today, our bad far outweighed our good.
  6. Well, it's certainly not a rousing success.
  7. Agreed, but he's in, so we have to wonder why. Perhaps his leadership is the reason. Or, as Jaded suggested, he's being given games in an attempt to figure out once and for all whether he has a future here. Who knows? I certainly don't.
  8. Rivers is still in because of his leadership ability, I'd say. They really talk him up in that regard, so I'm not surprised he's still in. Similar to Bruce, there must be things he does that we simply can't see.
  9. Well, well, well. He'd be feeling pretty bad tonight. I wanted to see us play against a team with him in it, but I guess he's Carlton's problem now.
  10. I still love Chook, but I love the Demons a hell of a lot more. Does anyone even think he'd still make it into our best 22? If not, then I would say he did us and him a favour by leaving.
  11. No. I think he thinks other people think so, if you follow me.
  12. I'm glad they fixtured us to play Geelong the round after our game in Darwin. Losing to Geelong is much better than losing to Richmond, as Port Adelaide did. I'm not too disappointed.
  13. Trengully is a significantly better name, too. That's my preferred name for the duo. But seriously, how hard is it to write "Scully and Trengove"?
  14. I'm not mad. It's just that it seemed like you thought my suggestion had no merit whatsoever.
  15. I dropped Rivers who was shocking, Macdonald who is too slow to play against the Blues' mobile forward-line, and a guy who is injured. So sue me.
  16. I agree, but I already have them out for our returning mids. Obviously this isn't a direct exchange, but if we want to also bring in Trengully and McKenzie, we'll need to think hard about which mids we'll drop.
  17. Why, because we lost to Geelong on the soccer pitch that is Skilled Stadium after coming back from the ass-end of nowhere with no marking forwards and half our starting midfield missing? Don't worry, we'll be back at the 'G next week and we'll take it to the Blues and win.
  18. I thought about that too, but who would he replace?
  19. Joeboy - One positive comment.
  20. 6 Green - Great second half 5 Davey - Creative ball use 4 Gysberts - Great debut, good defensive pressure 3 Jones - Played a good game on Ablett, and his disposal resulted in a few f50 marks 2 Bartram - Excellent defensive game on Chapman, who usually tears us a new one 1 Wonaeamirri - Good defensive pressure in the forward-line, and will be better for the game he played today.
  21. OUT: Bruce (omitted), Garland (inj), Rivers (omitted), Macdonald (Omitted) INS: Scully, Trengove, Bate, McKenzie Carlton have a small forward-line, so we will need to change our defensive structure a little in order to counteract the pace of their forwards. Scully and Trengove pick themselves, Bate is a marking forward who can play on the wing, and McKenzie's toughness and tackling are really important for us.
  22. So Wona managed to stay in? I watched the replay and although he was lacking in fitness, he certainly hasn't lost his touch from what I saw. I'm hoping he's fitter for the run he had last week and can show us all what he's made of. Perhaps we'll even see a frog's leap.

    Very nice article.
  24. If you have Foxtel, it's also on NITV.
