  1. Maybe the colours have faded. Frankly, the scarves are acryllic and rubbish but a point of pride for the sake of being a member, I really don't see the issue of the colour and I couldn't care less. That is just my opinion, I can understand fans wanting better quality scarves for their money, but I wonder whether they think the club could spend that money more wisely.
  2. Yeah, I always trust the memory over 16 years of a supporter of an extinct club...
  3. That gives extra meaning to the term 'taking the [censored]'...
  4. Yes, but the fans didn't want Hale. And the fans know best...
  5. You wouldn't do it before work the next day and stay up till 2.30... And you probably wouldn't get [censored] if you need all your faculties with you're at training, or for proper recovery of your body (that has had some issues over the years...).
  6. Just realised I did this arse-about; no-one goes to the inital page/post for the update so I will reply to the OP with the updated numbers Round 1-3, 2011 Done.
  7. Jeez, this is frustrating... Our leadership group is the girl with the curl on her forehead... On-field, off-field, in a bar, or on it. I can't wait for Grimes, Scully, Trengove, Watts, et al. to be older and experienced. For those who are unaware, although I'm sure DC would have stipulated - the rhyme goes; There was a little girl Who had a little curl Right in the middle of her forehead And when she was good She was very very good And when she was bad she was horrid.
  8. Excellent HT... Giving a set-up for Landers to try out there GNW stand-up routines. Joeboy's rating: They all sucked.
  9. Metaphor is still around the wrong way... But you get the gist of what he means so who gives a s...
  10. Can he play some more good games please?
  11. Rabble rabble. Heh.
  12. Yeah, I knew the first time he played against Carlton he would be what they wanted. He's a Joel Corey clone from what I can see.
  13. Well the stats have bounced back... Less the convincing display lets you know that statistics tell the occasional white lie... But the effort is there and that is what's important at this stage of our development. Smashed a good midfield in clearances is always welcome, as is having 56 I50s.
  14. It's good we have moved from showing horrible displays and getting nothing but development to showing horrible displays and getting development and a win...
  15. In a world, and in a supporter base, there is no substitute for four points. It's quite ridiculous to say that Bailey has 'no less pressure' on him than a day ago. I will go through the stats soon, but I think it quite amazing we are 1-1-1 while playing such awful footy...
  16. Watch Part 2 of WW by Schwab to get an idea of how they assess performance. It looks to me to be 'ceiling-less' with the important caveat that while we are developing wins and losses are less important than improved performance. And before everyone jumps on that, Schwab stipulates that progress in those KPIs will inevitably lead to more wins.
  17. I honestly think that there is "Hawks beating us easily fatigue" going on. We always play them early in the year and we always get belted. This one was galling because we were infront for quite a bit of the game but the facts are these; there are a better team, they have a better midfield, they have stronger players, they have stars, or A graders, or whatver-you-call-ems, in the their team. To assume that they are incapable of responding to a bake from Clarkson and beating, or belting, our bunch of talented toddlers and NQR seniors is insulting to the people that run the Hawks and the list that they have assembled.
  18. I think it's funny how everything is related to the FD - with the 'FD' being a euphemism for Bailey. And how someone who works with KPIs can look at 'members' and say that the FD isn't helping even though it's roaring along... But my favourite is the 'game day dropouts' - someone who loves KPIs measuring something that might occur in the future... Measuring thin air...
  19. That metaphor is around the wrong way. If you aim for the stars and get to the moon then, yay, you have got to the moon. But you are still going to have the idiots in the back saying 'we didn't make it to ONE star, and it's all Bailey's fault!'
  20. He's from nearly every aspect - JMac II. I think he will be better... Saying something...
  21. That's a reasonable assertion, an expectation of player confidence is something I share with you. I just don't believe we are at the stage where we can expect the outcome in the blase fashion some on here have.
  22. Can you please respond to my earlier post. Keen to get your thoughts on my thoughts of your thoughts... Thoughts?
  23. I really urge those who haven't clicked on those links to do so. The first one looks at why you have got to try not to cringe when someone at the Dees says competitiveness. And the second one looks at the metrics used to make sure that each game is taken seriously and realistic goals are given.
  24. Well, from the names that you conveniently omitted from that list I assume you believe the 'et al' to Black, Power and Rich are: Clark, Banfield, Rockliff, McGrath, Merrett, Adcock, Patfull, and Leuenberger... We don't exactly strike fear into the hearts of the Lions either... I think that the equivalent 'Range Rover' at the Lions board scoffed at Watts, Gysberts, Bennell, Bail, Wonaeamirri, Martin, Batram, Tapscott, Strauss, Morton, Jones, Dunn, and Warnock in much the same manner as you... I think we will win, but I am not going to say that we should win by ten goals when there are two bona fide stars of the game out there and they both play for the Lions...
  25. DD, he isn't accepting success... A five goal win against Black, Power, Rich et al. is now considered a loss... Yeah, you see how it isn't the OPPOSITE. Sorry to scream that at you...
