  1. Well, if your mates are saying it...
  2. We'd still be named after a flower if it wasn't for that useless old spud... You're being needlessly dismissive again, C&B. Should look into that.
  3. 'Checker' Hughes used to say give a bloke a extra year for every inch of over 6 foot. While median height has changed since the 30s, the notion still applies. Talls take longer.
  4. Were you trying to be clever by revealing a 'always disagree with rpfc as a defualt position' bias or are you trying to say that I am a hypocrite because I am egotistical? Because I am egotistical, but it doesn't make me a hypocrite... I don't preface what I say with claims that others are 'blind' or have an inherent bias that disqualifies their opinion. If you have taken personal offence to my criticism of your opinion when it comes to Scully going to GWS it is because you treat all others who have a contrary opinion - backed up with the same amount of evidence that you have - with a dismissiveness and condescension that you haven't earned.
  5. I think they can be... Nah, I believe sponsors look more to exposure on FTA. We are slowly getting more but are not near the levels enjoyed by others...
  6. I always find it amusing when those that question the club turn around and for reasons beknownst to their own ego claim other who don't share their view have a 'default position of support' for the club. We all support the club immeasurably, hence why we are on here. I agree with the club on some things, and not on other things. I have been supportive of the year extension to Bailey's contract and I have criticised our on-field leadership. Don't see why you have to stroke your own ego by claiming others are simply the 'blind, deaf, and dumb cheerleaders.'
  7. Give him credibility? Please explain.
  8. It was an addendum to my earlier post, not a direct reply to you.
  9. Old55 posts about this quite a bit - the idea that it would be preferable to play, or get the team in a position to play, a style of football that is successful in 3 or 4 years and not necessarily right now. As we have seen, the game changes so rapidly from Hawthorn's zone to Collingwood's press. Oh, and Roos had the Swans play the same tired gameplan in 2010 that took them to a flag in 2005. 5 years is an eternity in football and I don't think that Roos would be the person I look to to discuss the evolution of gameplans in the modern game...
  10. YES! ISN'T IT! VERY TELLING! I'M HAVING TROUBLE CONTROLLING THE VOLUME OF MY VOICE!!
  11. It is extreme. And all things being equal - Watts would have earned as many games as he deserves. But things aren't equal. I also know there is a balance. But I don't think Casey will teach Jack more than playing AFL and that is my stance on that.
  12. I'm a pretty ruthless [censored]. And I couldn't give a frack if we are giving games to anyone. If they are destined to be apart of our flag hopes in a few years time, then expose them, develop them, and get them ready. I couldn't give a frack about finishing 7th or 12th in 2011. I want to win a fracking flag.
  13. Stop yelling! Keep calm and carry on.
  14. So you belittle people for their positive opinion of Watts and his future as it is based wishing and wondering, and then offer your opinion. What the eff do you think your opinion is based on? Your own wishin' and wonderin'. Why don't we let a little more of 2011 happen before we judge his 2011.
  15. It certainly was to watch... You are thinking of the word 'challenging' in the wrong context.
  16. I didn't come out of the womb a public servant... I went every G game in 2008 and it was not good.
  17. Sarah Palin says this. People don't say this. Please don't say this.
  18. Or when he is coming out of the big house...
  19. Forget Watts. Can we get Gotzy75 on here to replace Gotzy15?
  20. People don't remember 2008, let alone the formative years of our captain when he shied away from contact and didn't look for it the way Jack did last year.
  21. You'd think we were playing well...
  22. The biggest thing I took from that article was the strength of the other end of the ground. 63 times teams had 60+ Inside 50s in 2010 and 55 times they won the game. Just 8 times the team that saw their defensive 50 breached over 60 times won the game and on three of these rare ocassions - Melbourne was the victor. Our defence is doing a great job and if our mids can reduce the amount of ball that gets in there we will be very hard to beat.
  23. He was playing against boys, as a boy. And he was a standout. Who is to say that when he has the body of a man he won't step up and be a standout again?
  24. We get it, 45. We should win. We will win. Happy? Sheesh! Geez I'm an attention seeker!
