I'm not overly concerned about roles and structures at this stage, but they better enstill some discipline in the group and the right structures in around 2013+. We are amongst about 5 teams aiming for 8th. We are not a good team and we be will shown to be so in games this year. I don't really know why people thought we would suddenly be pushing the top 6. Coll, Geel, Haw, Freo, Carl, and WB are way better than us, and I think StK is too (unsure). We are a lot closer to Brisbane than we are to the first 6 teams I mentioned. Bit simplistic. The backline is overworked. They have to deal with too much footy down there. The mids don't pressure the ball carrier. The forwards have had trouble keeping the pill down in their half. Blaming the defenders is unfair, they have been great for 2 years now, dealing with an awful midfield ahead of them and a selfish, lazy forward line.

Hostile? lol What I meant was there has been steady improvement every year since 2008. And "informed discussion" was mentioned in tandem with "let's let more of 2011 happen." The 'informed' I spoke of was the passage of time to have an informed view of improvement, or lack thereof, in this football season. So, ummm, yeah... Hostile.

If we are indeed playing '2007 football' I'm sure this review will find that out and fix the calendar... If we can't model ourselves on Geelong because we should model ourselves on Collingwood - shouldn't we model ourselves on the next 'Collingwood'? Again, Old55, mentions it quite a bit - if you are worried about us being left in the dust when it comes to gameplan - don't look at Collingwood 2010. It'll be different in 2014...

I keep a close eye on Lyndon and had initial high hopes but I have not seen what others have seen and I don't see him in our forward line long term. Jurrah will play FF, whether we want him to or not - the players will kick it to him regardless of who is in a better position. Jamar or Martin (or any ruck) will play in a pocket on most occasions and be that deep threat. Wonaeamirri and Jurrah will harass the backmen and fight to keep it in. Petterd would help them if he makes the team. Watts will play as a lead up CHF. That leaves Green, Dunn, Petterd, and any resting mids to fit into the remaining forward spots. As mentioned before - I believe Petterd's harrassing is superior to Dunn's and they both 'play' the same height despite Dunn being a few inches taller. Just don't see enough from him to suggest he will keep his place...

And if we don't win by 150 points, Bailey is going to be ritualistically murdered by me and a cadre of vampire-witches!
