Farewell Clayton Oliver
So GWS have gone off and taken him for a boozy boat ride and a tour of the facilities. They didn’t speak to us about trade cost They may not have the caps space WTF are they doing

I don’t think Jordan De Goey is polite enough

‘Regardless’… Ugh. Deals off. Why? Tom Morris.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Personally, I think we are in need of some stock standard bonafide AFL players - Jiath is that. As ever, the price matters but I think he is a good talent and has confidence in his ability at this level.

7 and 8 will become 11 and 12 so I hope we go up the order for one bite of a better cherry BUT can we not mortgage a future pick please. We are going to be bad next year.
-
Farewell Christian Petracca
Yeah because it might get you are Future 1st like it did for NM. Tigers gave them ND3 for it…

The List Manager Tim Lamb
I don’t think we will have the picks to want to rookie Woey. Next year is a huge inflection point - 20 players OOC and there are 5 no brainers for an extension - the rest have question marks. We can’t go that young that quickly.

The looming problem is next season. End of year we will have 20 OOC at this stage. 15 on the PL if Woey gets a year. 13 of those 20 have question marks about either injuries, talent, or possible retirement…

2025 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin
Well there is a gap in the backline… Actually there are a few gaps let’s be honest. I think we are unlikely to have the picks to push him out at this stage.

Yes, it’s 4 to 6 spots on the primary list available. White and Sinnema seem to be on the late draft or rookie bubble so that kind of cancels out. Assuming ND7, ND8, ND24 and ND37 after the trades are done and we give back picks to GC. Woey would get a reprieve as our next pick might be in the 60s…

Yeesh. Taking that many in the draft doesn’t bode well.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Sad it has got to this point. I am one of those romantic fools that wants him to come to the 15 year reunion and have a smile on his face. Same with Oliver of course. It was a great ride.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
His injury was a freak broken middle toe so fingers crossed his body isn’t too banged up where it matters in the soft tissue. I am excited I have to say. FF Heath Melksham Fritsch HFF Chandler Mihocek Henderson B Tholstrup TALL PLAYER X I can see Laurie getting some time if Tholstrup goes into the middle. McAdam maybe but injuries. I know the above doesn’t look great but players would be in their roles that they can execute. With 4 proven AFL role players in their best positions. For the tall player x my order would be: JVR, Johnson, Kentfield, Yze, Jefferson

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd troll confirmed.

Well I like him

He is not saying that the club goes public, only that Humphrey’s camp to go public with the desire. It would only help to move the needle. If GC are dug in but they get pressure from the outside about a player who wishes to go home it may move the club.

That asterisk is working hard

Leaking to a journo the dirty laundry, or the ‘tea’ as the kids say, is a bit different to the guarded inside word of a few on a fan forum.

Farewell Christian Petracca
I just want him to do what CP5 has done - no breaking of contract just a thirsty desire to go to a specific club while in contract…

We learned about ourselves

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Mate, that was the last two years after Ben Brown left. JVR can barely carry himself, don’t make him continue to carry a Jefferson or Kentfield.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
We learned this lesson in 2008-2013 didn’t we? No one develops when everyone is ‘developing’ God I hate being a Melbourne supporter sometimes
-
Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
That may be, but our best forward last year was Jake Melksham. So we can do with the gamble

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
His answer to the ‘good mids at Melbourne are going mate’ (paraphrase) question was haphazard but great: Kids getting in there lift and they have some objectively talented young players.
