Min 3 open Primary List spots (up to 5 if no more rookies). Jiath brings that down to 3. So maybe we are trying to get a pick to use here? As we have none other than 7 and 8 and 71…

Sure thing. Then stop referring to them as pick 7 and 8 It’s the same logic as saying ‘we don’t get access to the first 6 picks so we should call our pick 7 - pick 1’ It is all about the talent coming through the draft and while I am bullish we can get talent in at ND11 and ND12 - it has to be noted that it is the eleventh and twelfth shot at getting that talent.

Don’t think Essendon want more picks. I think they are just playing for time and will keep him. I have more sympathy for Humphrey than ZM tho. They guy wanted out, then extended on higher coin, and wants out again… not how it works, skipper

What a time to wait for! The build up to the First World War The thinking it will be the last Moulding of Tolkien and the roaring 20s - Armstrong, Dali, Picasso Didn’t really see what’s around the corner No better time to do some footy trades!

My inkling is that we are giving our picks in the middle rounds back to GC and we don’t want to pick in the 60s and beyond too much because you have a 2 year commitment. Thats how your list becomes trash - too many flyers on speculative talents adds up if they keep missing. Getting a Steele for that pick makes that easier to manage. Even if it is for a year or two. No need to develop, no need to give a 3rd or a 4th year ‘to see if they are anything’ and you can concentrate on your more bona fide talents.

Ok, here is what rpfc would do; keep him and front end the bulk of his remaining salary next year. Then you can literally ship him off entirely next year. With CP5 going we will have the space. If he happens to pull his finger out - then bonus.- Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Yes, it is a bit rich. Also, the desire to get a player who is established and quick AND IS A GREAT DECISION MAKER AND BALL USER. They wouldn’t be for trade for a middling pick! Barge! Flimshaw!- Farewell Clayton Oliver
So GWS have gone off and taken him for a boozy boat ride and a tour of the facilities. They didn’t speak to us about trade cost They may not have the caps space WTF are they doing- Bailey Humphrey
I don’t think Jordan De Goey is polite enough- Farewell Christian Petracca
‘Regardless’… Ugh. Deals off. Why? Tom Morris.- Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Personally, I think we are in need of some stock standard bonafide AFL players - Jiath is that. As ever, the price matters but I think he is a good talent and has confidence in his ability at this level.- Farewell Christian Petracca
7 and 8 will become 11 and 12 so I hope we go up the order for one bite of a better cherry BUT can we not mortgage a future pick please. We are going to be bad next year.- Farewell Christian Petracca
Yeah because it might get you are Future 1st like it did for NM. Tigers gave them ND3 for it…- The List Manager Tim Lamb
I don’t think we will have the picks to want to rookie Woey. Next year is a huge inflection point - 20 players OOC and there are 5 no brainers for an extension - the rest have question marks. We can’t go that young that quickly.- Bailey Humphrey
The looming problem is next season. End of year we will have 20 OOC at this stage. 15 on the PL if Woey gets a year. 13 of those 20 have question marks about either injuries, talent, or possible retirement…- 2025 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin
Well there is a gap in the backline… Actually there are a few gaps let’s be honest. I think we are unlikely to have the picks to push him out at this stage. - Farewell Clayton Oliver
