  1. And our leverage? On this public land that we ‘book’? Rent? Lease? The difficulty in kicking us out is commensurate to our leverage in encouraging assistance with Caulfield. It’s tenuous and hopeful at best.
  2. Great news!
  3. Broden K is just great in these type of vids. I wonder how much of these he writes.
  4. But is it his pointing hand??
  5. Get Culley in there. He can go forward. He also tackles and does more than point when we don’t have the ball.
  6. Is it best 46? I mean, you’re the expert
  7. So in 2028 there will be $1.5m out the door before we pay anyone. The club can spin that as much as they want to but that will hurt if we want to be good. It’s a competitive disadvantage.
  8. Good thing we are out at Casey…
  9. Yeah, back half of season but that is better than an alternative…
  10. We are ‘in trouble’… What do some of think is going to happen this year? CJ is almost identical to our Sam Frost. Capable player who is on the fringes of good and skilful teams due to his errant run and dash, and is desired for bad and stagnant teams for his errant run and dash… I am glad to watch him try to get us going this year. My bet is that we will start well this year then get flogged by a couple teams and become inert, and I wager CJ will be one of the few who try to play footy and get us going.
  11. No idea if he will be right but I would love to see Culley. I have an inkling he will be a difference maker. Right age to take a big step. Same with Turner. Rivers in the midfield the same. That’s the issue - our best players are predominantly under 21, or - aside from Kozzie - near the end.
  12. @WERRIDEE
  13. Love Melky but I think we can still avoid having him as a tall atm. Especially coming back from injury.
  14. So disappointing for him. Real chance to play Rd1. Now we go with Mihocek, JVR, and Heath surely?
  15. Prospective members don’t give a flying about that mate. The rusted on losers like us are the ones that care (aside from me and a few other enlightened posters) and we are signed up. Win games and we will get back those members.
  16. Great article. TLDR; we average
  17. Nah, he jumped over them Just couldn’t hold it
  18. Agree with all of this. Tempered reactions and all that, but Mihocek will earn his money this year and next shouldering the burden of that forward line and JVR and Kentfield look to be our best bet to help him in different ways. Heath is the wildcard for the fwd line this year because he is going to spend an hour in there otherwise we won’t waste the bench spot and just play Gawn with a fwd doing back up. The smalls are wxcellent with Chandler and the picketts with depth the only concern. The backline has holes but are full of professionals who can mitigate risks and a couple of young guns to help execute his helter skelter game plan of half back. This will be the line that determines how well we go in games. The midfield doesn’t have to win much, just not allow easy pill, and Steele does not allow easy footy. I think we will be an early season surprise before the better teams exploit our HB line.
  19. Racing Chair one day:
  20. And that’s the key thing that draws the ire of firebrand ‘footy personalities’ when you lift yourself up above the fray when you are in the fray and the muck like everyone else.
  21. DZ, Pert and Roffey waxed lyrical about our culture constantly. And what was really happening? We won’t talk about it on here because of litigation… that’s how bad it was… Can we not just pull our heads out of the sand and try to not replicate the mistakes of the past?
