Training Ground?
So the team will be able to train there in 2028 is your supposition. Not that the whole club facilities will be complete. I think there are expectations to be managed here

Building to our next flag
I am fairly certain that he is in his final year, as Chaplin is. But getting rid of everyone in one Spring is just not tenable. Probably not even affordable. Without some inside info we just don’t know whether the malaise of our culture and expectations of behaviour began and end with Goodwin. I personally put more on Gawn than Richo but to criticise Max is akin to crucifying Bambi on the anniversary of his mother’s death (spoiler)… And Max isn’t going anywhere- touch wood

Well that was an interesting read. I am not a huge fan of this type of ‘storytelling PR’ because it can easily be quoted and then it is back and forth with whoever is being quoted. It has started well so he gets a leash but it gets shorter at every perceived failure and error. My feeling is that this type of open honesty will abate once the club gets back into it November. The hallways will be full of ‘Jack wasn’t too keen on what you said’ and ‘Steven wants to have a word about this thing’ Anyway…- Welcome to Demonland: Jack Steele

What do I look like a search engine to you, an LLM?- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Counterfactual: We had a 3 year deal instead and Carlton pushed CP5 through the PSD last year… It’s unknowable of course, but the long deals are fine for the bona fide stars. I had two issues with the Oliver one - he wasn’t a professional, and we gave him a percentage of the cap, not a set $ figure. Lamb and the club should review their actions and process on that one. The CP5 one is fine IMO.- Training Ground?
If it quits all this whinging, sure. Go there for 2 (or 5) years- Training Ground?

It’s hard to know what deal would sway the club but I don’t mind having this ‘2 1st round picks for 4 years’ thing that we are in the middle of. It’s a good clump of talent at similar ages that reminds me of 2014-2016 when we got Salem, Petracca, Brayshaw, and Oliver. That really was the engine of our flag run.- Steven May
I hear that But why won’t anyone bring up ‘May Forward’? Odd- Steven May
What I want to know is Has anyone even thought about playing him forward?- Building to our next flag
‘Gorilla Monsoon Key Forward’ If I key word searched that would I find anything? I think most that are hopeful is because he is an established tall forward and we have only had Ben Brown since Hogan left. Our problem has not been the lack of a big forward to win us games - it has been the cumulative failure of terrible ball movement, spasmodic and glacial decision making, and pathetic forward craft from those that are meant to attract the ball. Mihocek solves that last bit, and gives a chance to King to make headway on the ball movement and decision making. - Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
