I thought Chaplin was great in the middle and a sign of how they might cover for Purcell. We simply need more winners around the footy and Hanks and Hore can’t be everywhere. With our draw we should get top 4 but beating NM will require Zanker and Chaplin and ?? To go through the middle and know what they are doing. Eliza - my favourite - is the best wing in the game but I am heavily biased. Tayla makes opposing players nervous and that’s great.

For all those ‘Petracca is Brand Cancer’ types on here - how about this? The clubs are keen to get CP5 out on the cheap because they want to get a generational talent on the cheap and ‘rehabilitate’ and then dominate within a game plan that suits him and a role that he sticks to. And there we are off to the side - with ND19 playing Casey 2nds and some fringe player that simply is on a hiding to nothing through comparison. I am always wary when ‘the football world’ is angling for something…

I was just listing the talls. And no, I doubt McAdam will play another game for us… shame really.

Ok, so I hate to break it to you here… Petty is a serviceable forward and a great backman. JVR is very dim forward that has very few tricks and is easily quelled by defenders. Johnson is a battler but has not shown he can be an AFL calibre forward. Kentfield is untried at senior level and will need help and be shielded even if he does play. Jefferson is nowhere, just nowhere, and I don’t like to talk down on players too heavily so I will leave it there. Mihocek immediately becomes our best tall and provides some cover for whoever of that list of NQR forwards you want to try each week.

Before we ring people up in the town square - his agent has been told to talk to other clubs. Perhaps it was another club that ‘leaked’ that information. As Sam Mitchell has made plainly clear - there is no dignity left between clubs.
