  1. Ransom isn't what it used to be...
  2. Not really. I appreciate the offer but rpfc needs no help getting from the airport. I also don't think our personalities would mesh to make the trek from Tulla to Casey a comfortable one... We are all Dees, but we are all different. Different Dees.
  3. You do know there is a delete post function?
  4. Flippancy has no place on an internet forum!
  5. Agree. I don't want him to ingratiate. I'd be happy as a fan if he was a humourless hard-arse to every single person he met if it meant he was that to the players. I'm slightly frustrated. But put simply - I want to come on here and read a JCB post that details the awful things that Neeld has said to the players on the training track while running them into the ground in early November.
  6. Rawlings hardly has the 'successful' background that Neeld was talking about for his FD... But he's a smart fella so let's hope he relinquishes Grimes to the midfield and can do something with Davey across HB.
  7. Really? Maybe I thought that your post about Jamar having no firends amongst the playing group was something akin to kinder speak? And I am pretty happy with the readbility of my posts. Insolent? Yes. A brat? Yes. Well structured and easy to follow posts and arguments? It's the off-season folks. Edit: Had to edit.
  8. I'm still reading. I like to read! Knowledge is power!
  9. Unless we trade in players.
  10. The clique? A think there are a few of those... Are you in one of them?
  11. tonatopia - the poster that came on here after the Geelong game and blamed Dees fans for that fateful result... We are not a very good team. Sure we have a heap of young talent and potential, but let's not kid ourselves - we are hardly 'hole-less'...
  12. The players didn't like him? Where they scared of him? Did he smell? Was he sympathetic to the wrong culture? Did he get nose bleeds?
  13. What's worse is the band wagon has no bin! Just awkward for anyone wanting an apple...
  14. How can one be 'virtual number one fan' of a player but want to trade said player?
  15. I really doubt that. The position left vacant by Leoncelli, as mentioned, is a board position that Garry is standing in. The Director of Football is usually reserved for former players and with good reason - having a non-loyal Demon in a position on the board with an ear to all facets of the club would be dangerous. I think the position you have caught wind of would be in the FD, hopefully as head of the FD. Get some tiger balm on our nuts, get us moving again...
  16. I think we will just put him in the easiest spot to play on the ground - HBF. Like Nasher I have serious misgivings about his leadership and body language. Bad body language by senior players sucks the life out of a team and Green, Davey, and Rivers are awful with it at times.
  17. Let's have that pinch of salt here... Firstly, he has to go through a process to 'get' the captaincy back so that is not a decision that can be made before his contract runs out. Your captain should be decided in Jan/Feb of a season. And while I realise that captain changes are rare other than for retirements, the process still has to be adhered to. I very much doubt Brad would tie his contract to that. I call BS.
  18. I never thought he was head of the FD, but I could be mistaken. CC is still named the General Manager of Football on the structure... All will be explained soon, I'm sure...
  19. Depends what the price is but I am open to anything at this stage. Where are the Fev fans? Seems a little quiet on that front...
  20. This is far too positive for you to be making this up. Sounds good if true!
  21. Yes. Why bother recruiting a 197cm 18 year old at pick 50 if you turf him two years later? What's the effing point? Give him a chance or don't pick him in the first place.
  22. Yes, we all have our different opinions. My point is that the "we should hang on to our older stars because of what WCE have managed to do" argument falls flat due to the fact that we don't have Cox, Kerr, or Glass calibre senior players. We are in a false economy, and to equate Green to those champions is deluding ourselves. Love the guy and I hope we work something out but we have to come to grips with reality.
  23. Yes, those two things by themselves don't excite me, but put them together and BAM! You've got a deal!
  24. I'm not starting anything here, Neeld should be able to bring in people who knows can do a job, but I just don't think there is a better option when choosing assistants - trusted people or fresh faces. That was the impression that I believe Striker was inadvertently giving - that bringing in trusted, known commodities was the best way to go. I think people you trust, expert IP from other clubs, and a few eyes already around is the best way to go as you said.
