  1. Still can’t win even under Buckley #timetomoveon
  2. Absolute shambles. Then I am losing faith in the board. Coaches are not players - they are the de facto leader of the club especially in a period where we have no CEO and an interim President. Just fire him in April. As soon as you start tapping up someone - pull the trigger and deal with the consequences of your actions.
  3. So ‘blind Freddy’ was in charge making rash decisions and undermining the club? I just don’t believe it, it is trash behaviour. And if we were tapping up Buckley after our ‘awful start’ then it is absolutely a sign of a poorly run club. Fire him then. It’s like when we told Neale to ‘reapply for your job’ and he told us to GFO. Good clubs make decisions when it something is so obvious you are undermining the status quo. So, again, it’s BS or this administration is.
  4. What a shambles of a club if this is true; approaching a potential coach and effectively undermining a flag winning coach and the season you are in… So either you are full of it or the club is.
  5. Carlton have three games that they better be a good show in or it will put a lot of pressure on the random decision to back Voss in until effectively May 2026…
  6. So we’re going to get 30 cents on the dollar for Oliver while paying half his wage and we are going to hoist ourselves on the McVee petard and lose him for nothing? Great way to get back to our 2008-2013 list…
  7. Boo hoo.
  8. I’m disappointed but this is the game, I just hope he considers himself a Demon for the reunions. This was not a surprise and I think it’s the right decision. It’s also the easiest decision. Much harder ones to come.
  9. It’s neither unreasonable and sensational. Just a humdrum change of coach that has had an underperforming team for 2 years now (4 years if we are nasty about it - but right).
  10. Debaser got there before me but we have not had a good ‘second half’ of the season. We had a great 6 week stretch and won two games outside of that.
  11. We have an interim president and CEO - to think we have someone ‘already on the hook’ is as laughable as it is dangerous. Who would agree to come unless to future President and CEO were the ones to be there to run the process and own the decision? We are nowhere and that’s ok, if we can soon get somewhere, but some of you look like sheep walking on their hind legs thinking we have someone lined up…
  12. Healthy teams don’t put up that last qtr against StK. Telling him when we have made the decision is as respectful as you can be in this position. That is not an endorsement of the board - this is a bare minimum decision - there are much harder ones to come. Thanks to Simon who will go down as our greatest coach of the modern era and I hope someone who will be around the club in years to come.
  13. I am not for getting 30 cents on the dollar with Petracca. We are going to do that with Oliver if he leaves at all, so we can’t afford to do that too often or we will get stuck in the bottom four like NM and WCE waiting for the right teenage talent to fall into our laps. I have had my say - I would make him skipper and tell him that you get to own the forward line and go into the middle when you want. I would clear out the forward line of any dumb players that would get in CP5s way (Fritsch, anyone we have that is tall I am sorry to say) and get Melksham another year to keep the better defenders somewhat occupied and go small and competitive with Chandler and other role players of that ilk to harass and get the gegenpress going.
  14. Well our supporter base is nearing death so I get it but also - we were not rocking up to games unless we were playing Collingwood like always and people noticed - not just CP5. Like it was a thread on here…
  15. Yeah, but where were the crowds?

People are angry at the media?! ‘How dare they broadcast that last qtr1!1!1!!’ …
  17. Well that is it for Goodwin surely…
  18. Jefferson I have seen enough of. The other selections are fine too - selection integrity is a laughable idea at AFL level to begin with but arguing over the comparative performance of players in one uncompetitive VFL game is as rich as it is stupid.
  19. Imagine if Bluey was a more committed supporter, a more articulated poster, a calmer person. Would we have one another flag? Quite possibly.
  20. I would gift him a game. Jefferson and JVR are getting that treatment so why discriminate?
  21. Just when you think AI is useless…

The last two years don’t erase the previous 7. He was our best player, and one of the greats of the game, for a solid 4 years during which we won a flag. He is up there, and certainly beyond most of the names you just pulled out of your arze just then.
