Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I am not for getting 30 cents on the dollar with Petracca. We are going to do that with Oliver if he leaves at all, so we can’t afford to do that too often or we will get stuck in the bottom four like NM and WCE waiting for the right teenage talent to fall into our laps. I have had my say - I would make him skipper and tell him that you get to own the forward line and go into the middle when you want. I would clear out the forward line of any dumb players that would get in CP5s way (Fritsch, anyone we have that is tall I am sorry to say) and get Melksham another year to keep the better defenders somewhat occupied and go small and competitive with Chandler and other role players of that ilk to harass and get the gegenpress going.

Well our supporter base is nearing death so I get it but also - we were not rocking up to games unless we were playing Collingwood like always and people noticed - not just CP5. Like it was a thread on here…

Jefferson I have seen enough of. The other selections are fine too - selection integrity is a laughable idea at AFL level to begin with but arguing over the comparative performance of players in one uncompetitive VFL game is as rich as it is stupid.- Max on the Front Bar
Imagine if Bluey was a more committed supporter, a more articulated poster, a calmer person. Would we have one another flag? Quite possibly.- Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield

Just when you think AI is useless…- Clarrys 200th
The last two years don’t erase the previous 7. He was our best player, and one of the greats of the game, for a solid 4 years during which we won a flag. He is up there, and certainly beyond most of the names you just pulled out of your arze just then.- Disco Bounces Back from Tragedy
They always have a preference.- Forward line fixed (for the time being)

I have an answer for you - and it won’t cost us gifting any more games away.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
I don’t quite get this. His absence is not going to mean JVR kicks 5. If we don’t have the young forwards to replace him than the shame is only on the recruiters, not on Melksham.- PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
Quite. And also, can these young player supplant these cheap senior players.- PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
I am over gifting games. I don’t think Melksham should miss out for players that are clearly not up to it or ready. For those that lament ‘selection integrity’ - you cannot then turn around and play Santa with games to the kids and not be a hypocrite.- Training Ground?
- Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
We’re turning on Caleb? Wow, that was quick. Langford better get 4 extra possessions next year or he will be a plodder… Honestly, look no further than our best players as to why we are where we are this year. Suspended to start the year, MIA, out of form, injured, returning from injury, one dimensional, and cannot kick straight in pressure situations. Make your own matrix from the above but let’s give our young Ute some space.- Training Ground?
He said what he said. Maybe because he was a footy coach and not training the Soudal Quick-step team to challenge Tadej Pogacar on the Col du Galibier…- Games that stopped our dynasty - zero hanger article
