  1. Richmond have Richo, Kingsley, Tambling, Simmonds and Patrick Bowden out of their side. At this stage we only have McLean, Sylvia and Bartram out (although guns like Travis might miss.) If we lose by a fair bit tomorrow, I'll be on the war path. It's time to get faredinkum dees!!!!
  2. Richmond have the following out: Tambling P Bowden Simmonds Kingsley Richo
  3. We seem to be going in with a much stronger squad this week. Senior Listed Players not named in the squad for Saturday: McLean (inj) Paul Johnson Sylvia (inj) Petterd Garland Newton Godfrey Wheatley (inj) Weetra Warnock (inj) Neville Bartam (inj) We have to cut 2-4 players. You'd think TJ may miss.
  4. Just a bit of food for thought Re-Davey. The two games he missed last year (with a hammy): Round 18 - V Carlton (MFC kicked 10 goals) Round 19 - V Sydney (MFC kicked 10 goals) (Then he exploded on his return game V Roos with 4 goals and the MFC kicked 20) Add in the NAB Cup game V Hawthorn. All 3 games we didn't have a crummer in the forward line and we averaged just 10/11 goals a game. That score won't win you games of footy. He is a hell of a lot more important than a poultry 13.
  5. Thats cool if dees-rule-4-eva does one as well. It will be good for people not going to the game to get more than one perspective. My report will be focussing more on a player by player summary and a score out of 10. Hope to get it released by 6:00pm Saturday night.
  6. No problems. Will be happy to do one!
  7. Yep will be there. Live in Parkville so no excuses. Looking forward to it and I'll be on Yze watch. Might even do a player by player summary after the match.
  8. This is becoming all to familiar with these 2 blokes. I'm assuming Yze thinks he owns a spot in the team and there is no way he can be dropped. What the hell is going on with him! He needs to dominate Princes Park on Saturday or else...... And Miller....no comment. Didn't he miss a shot from 10 metres out. Funny how you said Davey was quiet. In one media report he was listed as out best.
  9. Word around town is that Freo will appeal the severity of the suspension. So he'll prob get 3 weeks and be back for our game...knowing our luck.
  10. Nar, you can't serve suspensions in NAB Challenge practice games. Bad luck Wiz.
  11. 2 weeks with a guilty plea as it only looked like a slight punch to the eye. I'm probably wrong. I hope he gets either 2 or 4 weeks. 4 weeks would see him miss Melb V Freo. 2 weeks and he'll return against West Coast. But if gets 3, he'll be back for our clash and he'll take out his anger on us - I gurantee you that. I'm fast losing respect for my former hero. I'm not sure if he's a nice guy off the field, but he's a [censored] on it. I went to the game yesterday (Roos V Freo) and he was in every scuffle available. He's just an angry little thug who starts fights left right and centre , and I have no time for players of his ilk. No wonder every man and his dog boo him. When he finally relaxed, he kicked 2 or 3 goals in the last qtr to nearly steal the game for the Dockers.
  12. The only advantage of a 15 game season is that every team will play each other once, and once only. Also, if you played West Coast is Subi in 2008, that same game would be at the MCG in 2009. However 15 games is just too small, and for those people like me who need their weekly footy fix- we would be sold short. I agree with you that we need a strong showing against Richmond. Hopefully we have a full squad in and play some decent footy. I know many people don't care about results of practice matches, but I believe it would be a disaster for our confidence if we were 0-4 coming into round 1.
  13. They did exactly that last year with a Kangaroos V Collingwood practice match at Princes park. It was a really hot saturday arvo, and they bought the game forward to 11am. They might do this again?
  14. Is that the best our website can come up with I reckon a year 10 student on work experience wrote that little gem.
  15. Some bloke on Bigfooty reckons we play Richmond at Princes Park on Saturday. Would be good if true. We really should start to get fair dinkum as our pre-season had been a disgrace so far. Yes we've had our senior players out but so did Adelaide and Hawthron.
  16. I agree. Could be a long year coming up. Having said that, we're missing our forward line - Robbo and Neitz. Love to know how Petterd is going?
  17. The standard fade-out has come early today
  18. You beauty! Green's my tip for AA this year
  19. Does anyone know where we will be playing next weekend? Whispering Jack is usually on top of these things.
  20. No Neitz or Robbo either. I wonder where our goals will come from?
  21. Interesting that you have Frawley in the best 22, but I don't disagree. Watched the replay last night and I was far more impressed with his performance than watching it live. He's a no nonsence footballer- attacks the ball hard, hard to tackle and kicks the ball long just at the right time. Although his kicking technique is non-conventional, he didn't miss a target on the night. If he improves/sustains his performances during the next 3 trial games, he is not without a chance of a round 1 gig. Love to see players debut on opening round...like Bartram last year. BTW Green was our best player on the night. Didn't realise how good a game he had, his 2 goals were first class, is a great mark for his size, appears to have his lethal left foot back and I have a gut feeling that 2007 will be his best year yet. My early (outrageous) tip for All Australian. *Sorry Grenny for the pressure*
  22. Will be served in the NAB Cup. I'm now actually upset we lost. Had we won, Brown would've missed the Melb V Haw game
  23. I think Nathan Brown lead the side with 29 touches. Seems to be a ball magnet as he got high 20's last year V Freo final.
