  1. Surely by testing, you mean a pick no lower than 20. The club owes a duty of care to its members to get a very good draft pick for Green.
  2. Why is everyone so desperate in getting picks this year. We all know we'll have picks 1,2 and 18 next year.
  3. and who would replace the pace, sensational goal kicking and immaculate passes that we'd be losing.
  4. Should be banned!!!! On a serious note, what is the point of trading the only player on the list who has a combination of pace and skill as well as that X factor that brings the MFC fans to their feet. Think of those special goals against Freo in the big comeback. Aside from McLean, Davey is the only player that has the potential to be in the top 50 in the AFL. Yes he has his injury issues, but is a player that excites the MFC fanbase and must be retained. Who agrees that Davey is an untouchable? (unless ofcourse Port offered pick 4)
  5. If he doesn't make it, at least he can say he kicked a goal against Geelong...albeit in the NAB Cup.
  6. Grumpiest Poster - Rhino Richards or Hannabal
  7. Seaby kicks goals as well as rucks. Jamar muffs shots at goals from 5 metres out. Ignore 2008, Jamar is not fit enought to polish Seaby's boots.
  8. Yeah that prompted Mark Thompson to suggest "White could've broken King's leg." Gem of a quote that one
  9. Great, lets get him!! Was a regular in their GF years. The one game that stuck out in my mind was against Collingwood in 2006 at the Dome. Cox was out of the lineup, and everyone thought Eagles would be screwed in the ruck. However up stepped Seaby with 24 hitouts and 3 goals. Fantastic effort. Has kicked 64 goals in 97 games, so he can be dangerous around goals. Kicked 20 goals in 2007.
  10. Yep fair enough. Very happy for a loyal servant to win it. Just suggesting that if McLean played most games, he would've won it by quite a bit. Not saying I'm annoyed Bruce won it like YM and friends.
  11. I doubt they'd trade pick 35 for Frawley.
  12. OK, Miller, Sylvia AND pick 17 for a sweetner for Pick 4, Bentley and Port's 3rd rd draft pick.
  13. Miller, Sylvia and pick 35 for pick 4 and Greg Bentley I'd imagine Miller and Sylvia's trade value would have increased this year.
  14. Hear Hear. Brock McLean is the unofficial winner of the 2008 Bluey!
  15. Sounds like an encouragement award rather than a Best & Fairest. Warnock at #4 Bartram at #8 And what's the deal with Jones. From second to 18th in 1 year. Either he badly misses the protection of McLean, or he's just an average footballer in a terrible side. I hope it's the former.
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if we're interstate in round 1 next year. Last time was 1998 V'S Fremantle, so we're overdue for an interstate trip in round 1. I heard a bigfooty rumour that we've got Essendon in round 1 at the G on the Sunday, but I wouldn't take that too seriously.
  17. Lets try and attract the big guns. BP Wal Mart General Motors ING They spend $2 million a week on board meeting lunches.
  18. Apparantly he's a bad egg off the field. Rookie list prospect if indeed delisted as the kid can play.
  19. Was CAC in charge of contracts and list-management in October last year. If so, then he takes responsibility for Meeson getting 3 years.
  20. CAC must take a hell of a lot of responsibility for the state we're in at the moment. Surprised Richmond were all too keen to bring him over.
  21. No thanks. Davey is our only exciting player at the club.
  22. Would be quite a down side losing Riv, but only if he never comes good again. Sometimes you've gotta roll the dice!
  23. Rivers and fourth round draft pick to St Kilda David Armitage and second round draft pick to Melbourne. We would net picks 1, 17, 19, 31 and 36 plus a 200 gamer young gun in Armitage OR Rivers and third round draft pick to Port Adam Thomson and Port's second round draft (22) pick to Melbourne Option 2 would net us picks 1, 17, 19, 22 and 51. Pretty handy picks! Please note, my preference is for Rivers to stay, but I would be open-minded if options like the above are entertained. I'm getting a little tired of some MFC players continually on the sidelines.
  24. A switched on Andrew Lovett playing 22 games next year would be a tremendous acquistion for the club. A troubled and undisciplined Andrew Lovett would be a total disaster. If the crystal ball told me that Lovett had reformed his ways, then I'd trade pick 19 for him.
