  1. Sydney or Port would be the least bitter pill to swollow. Can't stand Geelong, plus would love it if they chocked again. Be jealous if Hawthorn won it as they haven't done the finals hard yards. Kangaroos winning would be a fluke and an embarrasment for all the others. You wouldn't hear the end of it if Collingwood won it. Eagles won it last year. Time for someone else.
  2. Lynden Dunn. Our new excitement machine in the midfield.
  3. Hey Dees_rule, I umpire in the EFL Under 18's on Saturday, did Divi 2 last week, Divi 1 this week. Just wondering what level you do?
  4. What a joy its been watching the great man over the years. For anyone that cares, his early milestones occured in dismal MFC performances. 50th game - Round 6 1995 V Adelaide (AAMI). 2 goal loss. Dees hadn't won a game till that point, and had ownershipof the game up until the last 10 minutes or so. 100th game - Round 17 1997 V Collingwood(MCG). In a dismal year, this game was no exception as we slumped to 3-14. Dees had an early lead but somehow fell asleep in the second half and were spanked by 9 goals. 150th game - Round 13 2000 V Carlton (MCG). What a horrible way to celebrate your 150th as we got blown off the park by 98 points. Was certainly the low light of our wonderful 2000 season. 200th game - Round 20 2002 V Western Bulldogs (MCG). Finally a fitting milestone game for Neita that was worth celebrating as the Dees consolidated their spot in the finals with a 17 point win with the great man kicking 7. One of the MFC's great days of 2002. 250th game - Round 3 2005 V Geelong (MCG). Another magnificent night for the MFC and Neita as he surpassed 500 goals, thrashed Matty Scarlett (5 goals) and celebrated his 250th with an 8 goal win. The Dees were in hot form (3-0) at that point which prompted a certain ex-president to declare that current MFC side as the best sice 64' - We all know what happened after that
  5. Geez, we'll have quite a team in if all those blokes get through. Thought Bruce was 2 weeks away.
  6. Keep him. One of the rare MFC players who has a sharp edge about him, as well as the exciting X-factor Make his contract performance based, so Byron can't afford to stuff up again (he has about 5 kids to feed!!!) Delist Warnock, Ferguson, Ward, Neville while Brown will retire. Blokes like Holland, Pickett and Jamar will be on the borderline.
  7. Win them all thanks! We'll still get an awesome pick in the draft (3), end the season on a 4 game winning streak (although Freo over there will be almost impossible) and end a shocking season on a great note. I'll take no satisfaction if we lose to Carlton in round 22...if the prority pick is off the table for us.
  8. When you get 5 votes in the Herald Sun and BOG, its highly unlikely you'll be dropped. Brown we'll be there for the big occasion.
  9. Awesome!!! What an opportunity. I'll be moving to Seattle mid next -year. Where will you be based?
  10. *Waits for a response from Rhino Richards, Old 55, Jaded etc*
  11. Yes thats right folks! The 'Black Dog' from the Age "Expert Tipsters" has spoken. He's predicting a Melbourne win this week over the Doggies. When the Black Dog speaks everyone stands up and takes notice. Well anyway, now thats cleared lets go through the usual questions. Are you going? Yes Crowd? 23,287 Result? Dogs by 29 pts MFC Best Player? T Johnstone MFC leading goal kicker? Davey 3
  12. All the best! Where are you heading off to? I'm getting emotional as I type, getting a mention in your farewell tribute
  13. I'd actually think Robbo or the 'kid' would be in more doubt.
  14. Yeah he'll play I would've thought. Adds a bit of class to an ordinary midfield at the moment. Might free up McLean a little as TJ warrants a tag.
  15. The word is that Buckley will go through his last major fitness test ever today. If he passes it, he'll play VFL this week and return for the Coll V Melb (just our luck  Neitz's 300th gets overshadowed by the return of Buckley) If he fails, career over.
  16. It's definately 7:15pm. Like every other Saturday Night game in Melbourne this year. For some reason they've changed the starting time this year (from 7:10), without communicating it in full to the public.
  17. 7:15. I've been to the following Saturday Night matches this year at the Dome: St.Kilda V Western Bulldogs Kangaroos V Sydney St.Kilda V Sydney Carlton V Port Adelaide St.Kilda V Richmond St.Kilda V Hawthorn All started at 7:15pm Thread over.
  18. I gave up hope after the Roos game in round 16, Robbo's 200th, were I thought we were a strong chance. Ordinarily, I'd say we're a huge chance with White playing his 250th. We had big wins when Neitz and Yze both played their 250th. However there is a distinct lack of passion and motivation among the group circa late 2007. There is only about 2 or 3 players that will be prepared to get their hands dirty and crave a win for the big milestone. I do have high hopes of a closer match than the previous 4 weeks, but a win is out of the question. Too many injuries.
  19. Might have to cancel the trip over to the Dockland this week then...
  20. Yep go to every Victorian game and the occasional interstate (apart from this year). As soon as I rocked up for the Roos V Dees game (3 weeks ago) I knew we'd lose due to the whopping 2,000 MFC fans that rocked up. Its not good enough! No wonder we cop [censored] from other clubs. Heres hoping for a better turn out this Saturday Night. Make the Dome our home this week! (well it is a home game )
  21. Congratulations to Jeff. Lets hope the players show a bit more respect to this achievement than they did for Robbo's 200th against the Roos in round 16.
  22. They should risk Bate or Sylvia this week. Need someone to kick to at half forward.
