Geez you guys are getting ahead of yourselves. Until the afl come out and clear us, I'm still concerned we face loss of draft picks for the next 3-4 years.

I wouldn't be opposed to the club doing an Adelaide by admitting guilt, in order to get a much lesser penalty. This club cannot afford to be banned from the next 4 drafts. Having said that, if the club truly believes its innocent and have done nothing wrong, then I'm happy for them to fight this to the bitter end.

They got away with it lightly because they plead for mercy. Part of me wants MFC to do the same thing if it looks like the AFL are going to destroy us.

Anyone think he's a genuine chance of going to the big house for a year or so?

Would be the end for me if Jurrah puts on a match winning 5 goal performance against us in round 1.

Too unrealistic. Finals means 14 wins. We can't and won't win 14 games. 8-9 is a more realistic goal.

Dunn staying is a no brainer Sellar showed a bit as a defender on gorillas. Not fussed on him either way. I thought it might have been time to farewell MacDonald. A bit over his constant fumbling, bumbling, and direct clangers to the opposition. Gives his all but can't be trusted with ball in hand.

To make the finals we have to win 13 games at the very minimum. Not a chance in hell of that happening.

I think it would be bloody stiff of the AFL to take away pick 4 at such late notice. Trade and free agency strategies were linked to the upcoming draft. If we knew we were having draft picks taken away from us, we could've traded a Sylvia to get back into the draft.

I'm all for Dunn getting another year, but I'm over MacDonald's constant fumbling, bumbling and dropping elementary marks in defense. I think we've moved on from D graders in MacDonald.

Any ideas who we're playing in Darwin considering we play Port at the MCG. Also if it's true we're 'hosting' North at Etihad, then that's disappointing.

Fixture to be released on Wednesday Please post anything you have heard, in regards to Melbourne's 2013 fixture. So far we know: Melbourne V Port Adelaide - round 1 MCG. I assume Sunday at 1:10, Fox Footy game Melbourne V Collingwood - round 11 MCG. I assume we'll still get this game next year. We do not feature in any Friday night game, according to the Herald Sun. (Harsh but fair, considering our brand of footy in 2012.) Speculation: Despite playing Port at the MCG, the Herald Sun still suggests we'll play a Darwin game next year. Greg Swan announced on SEN that we'll be playing Carlton in round 5 , no further details.

After the rubbish we served up in 2012, I cannot fathom how we can get close to 10 wins next year. 6-8 wins with a few 2-3 goal losses would be a more realistic goal.

I used to think like this. But now I'm so over winning 1 game every 6 weeks since 2007, I'd quite happily go to the footy knowing we'll win almost every second week.
