Any ideas who we're playing in Darwin considering we play Port at the MCG. Also if it's true we're 'hosting' North at Etihad, then that's disappointing.

Fixture to be released on Wednesday Please post anything you have heard, in regards to Melbourne's 2013 fixture. So far we know: Melbourne V Port Adelaide - round 1 MCG. I assume Sunday at 1:10, Fox Footy game Melbourne V Collingwood - round 11 MCG. I assume we'll still get this game next year. We do not feature in any Friday night game, according to the Herald Sun. (Harsh but fair, considering our brand of footy in 2012.) Speculation: Despite playing Port at the MCG, the Herald Sun still suggests we'll play a Darwin game next year. Greg Swan announced on SEN that we'll be playing Carlton in round 5 , no further details.

After the rubbish we served up in 2012, I cannot fathom how we can get close to 10 wins next year. 6-8 wins with a few 2-3 goal losses would be a more realistic goal.

I used to think like this. But now I'm so over winning 1 game every 6 weeks since 2007, I'd quite happily go to the footy knowing we'll win almost every second week.

The port board on bigfooty have marked Port down for a win! 50/50 game this one given how bad we were in 2011. Plus Port drew with Richmond at the g in Rd 23.

But have only played Port in Darwin as the home team. If it's a return game it will be at AAMI.

I wouldn't mind GWS up there. They'll still be easy beats anywhere. It's the Gold Coast that will start to be a tough side to play against.

I was thinking the same thing. We always host Port in Darwin. Would be surprised if we don't sell a game next year considering we're not exactly a financial powerhouse. Maybe we host someone like Gold Coast or GWS up in Darwin next year?

I reckon Moloney will be a great pick up for the Lions and will help elevate them to the top 8.

I think this trade should get done: Dawes and Collingwood's second round draft pick to Melb Pick 20 and Stef Martin. I think this is fair on both parties. Dawes has far more runs on the board than Martin. I reckon some people here aren't willing to give up enough for Dawes

For those that don't want to give up pick 20 for Dawes, you are all going to be very depressed people for a while. Not only are we going to give up 20, I think we'll also be giving up a player.

Pick 20 and Stef Martin or Ricky Petterd would be my offer. I'm happy to pay a little over the top for him. Would rather that than miss out altogether.

Pick 20 and Stef Martin should get this thing done.

Agree. I hope we only play Brisbane once next year. Couldn't handle him playing his only 2 good games for the year against us.

I really hope we're over these sort of games next year, where we have a crack for 3 qtrs only to get spanked in the last qtr.
