  1. Maybe St Kilda aren't the basket case everyone thinks they are.
  2. I hope people around here have stopped declaring how much we're going to spank that 'rabble' St Kilda by. It's disrespectful and a bit delusional considering the last 2 years of the MFC. I can't believe the cockiness of a few considering they barrack for a 2-20 side. I see this as an absolute flip of the coin affair.
  3. This news wouldn't bother me so much if at least one of Dawes or Clark were available for round 1
  4. Sorry to highjack the thread but does anyone know when Dawes is due back? Round 7ish?
  5. I hope the club can be honest and upfront about the injury. They estimated Garland to miss 4-6 weeks back in January, and now he's not due back until round 5.
  6. Agreed. Watts was excellent in the last home and away game last year V's Bulldogs as a key forward. Kicked 4.0 and his set shots for goal were immaculate. I think Watts should play in the forward line in the first month.
  7. Except for West Coast in round 2. They're going to be amazing this year.
  8. I reckon Dawes will be back by round 6 or 7. He injured his calf last year in NAB 1 and didn't return until the GOld Coast game in round 7. There was no transparancy from the club. Kind of sounds like the same story this year. He seem like a really slow healer.
  9. After the NAB Challenge, I'm more optimistic in beating St Kilda and less optimistic in beating GWS (who look like they've seriously improved). No chance against Carlton who have dominated us since 2008 while West Coast are top 4 quality. We can beat Gold Coast if we catch them on a really bad day. 2 wins is the best I can see.
  10. Josh Kelly (pick 2) would have to turn into an absolute super star for us regret this trade with Salem. Been impressed with Tyson so far, particularly the Geelong game. Thought he made too many clangers in the richmond game.
  11. Can anyone clarify how long we have Tyson contracted for? I know that he was contracted to GWS until the end of the 2015, so I assume we have him until then.
  12. You know you've had a tough draft when James Sellar was the 'ace' of the draft.
  13. For the entire summer we were favourites to beat Port. But come the 2013 NAB Cup when we lost to St Kilda and Gold Coast while Port beat Sydney and West Coast, the odds obviously stacked in Port's favour.
  14. Round 1 arrox odds from TAB: St Kilda 2.05 Melbourne 1.70 When was the last time we went into a game favourites against a non franchise team?
  15. No Hayes (if he cops the week), Montagna, Steven, Gilbert, plus the departures of Dal Santo and Ben McAvoy. Almost getting to the point where a loss of any magnitude would be considered a disappointment.
  16. I don't suppose the game will be streamed on the MFC website? Richmond are putting their practice match V's Essendon on their site.
  17. Hoping Bail can repeat his unexpected excellent game v Richmond, as a dangerous small fwd.
  18. Good/bad news. Just puts more expectation on us and makes the loss more disappointing if we lose.
  19. Yeah, can't wipe the smile off my face....
  20. ^^^^ Jack, will the ladder extend to the practice matches next weekend?
  21. With the certain inclusions of Vince, Tyson, Cross and possibly Michie, can anyone forsee Viney and/or Toumpas taking a step back and playing for Casey throughout out the year?
  22. I'd be a bit disappointed if Garland is out until round 6.I reckon we can possibly get 2 wins out of 5.
  23. Thread of the year...
