AFL Coaches IQ Index
I'd have Hinkley way down the list. Sounds like a bush league coach with a year 9 education.

Round 13 Non MFC Games
FYI Jenkins only kicked 2 on O Mac.

Round 13 Non MFC Games
If it's good for Jenkins (a more proven forward commodity than T Mac) to have a spell in the magoos, then surely it's ok for T Mac to have a spell down there as well to find some much needed form.

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
Agreed. May's the defender on the big bucks, so he takes the opposition's marquee key forward. Hogan's had a rough month, but he still played a brownlow vote worthy game Vs Freo in round 5 and kicked 2 goals against Collingwood in round 11.

Opposition Accuracy is Killing Us
Certainly something in that. The last 6 weeks worth of last quarters: Hawthorn - 4.0 GC - 4.0 WC - 6.1 GWS 2.1 (Disregard this game as were never in it and the only game in this 6 week cycle we were out scored) Adel 5.2 Coll 4.0 We have conceded 25.4 in the last quarters in our previous 6 games!!! That's disgusting.

Opposition Accuracy is Killing Us
Since the round 7 game v's Hawthorn, the stats are horrifying: Melbourne 56.80 - 41% Opposition - 76.43- 64% We've had 14 more scoring shots than the opposition. If we're accurate against Freo, we win. Pure and simple.

Max Gawn shanks left - AGAIN
Should be dropped for missing that crucial sitter on the siren.

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
But was back to his best before he injured his collarbone V's GC. Got coaches votes V's Hawthorn.

Lowest Inside 50 Scoring Rate EVER
In another record figure, our opposition are tracking at a combined 61% accuracy which is two percent above the highest recorded amount of 59% (Brisbane in 2017) since 2000.

Opposition Accuracy is Killing Us
Now you can add Collingwood to the list. 15.8 including 9.0 in the second half.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Only Port, Sydney and Richmond have kicked more behinds than goals against us. Is it any wonder we’re 3-8...

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Collingwood VFL
A debut vs Freo?

First Chaplin, now this....
Still can’t get over the day I saw Chaplin (paid MFC employee at the time) getting off the train at Richmond station in a Richmond scarf on his way to the Rich v GWS game. No issue with him supporting his old mates but he could’ve been a bit discreet about it.

Round 12 Non MFC Games
On track for their holy grail - another 9th-12th finish.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
I was thinking Frost could go with him for pace, but not for smarts.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Which would make last week so damn frustrating. Could have been potentially 5-7 with an easier month coming up.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Based on our weakest/worst 4 players from last week's squad the outs would be: 1) Wagner - Lever 2) O Mac - May 3) Stretch - Salem 4) Spargo - Hore The last two outs are not like for like so it may not be as simple as that. JFK may be in danger, Hannan did nothing (but will remain as he's best 22) and Weid and T Smith are always on the borderline. I have a gut feel one of Hore or Lever doesn't get up. Wagner and O Mac are the two certainties. Wagner has actually been serviceable insurance this year.

Opposition Accuracy is Killing Us
A lot's been said about our terrible inaccuracy this year and it's directly cost us games v's West Coast and Adelaide. But what about our opposition's incredible accuracy this year: Geelong 20.6 Essendon 20.10 St Kilda 15.5 Hawthorn 11.8 GC 9.6 WC 13.7 GWS 14.10 Adelaide 14.6 We have currently conceded an aggregate total of 150.98 which is an accuracy of 61%, a full 2 per cent ahead of St Kilda and a whopping 16 per cent ahead of Adelaide, the team that incidentally benefited from our gross inaccuracy on the weekend. If this kind of accuracy continues, we are on pace to concede 301.196 which is a 60.6% conversion - which would be the most accurate against/conceded score in a season since 2000 (I didn't research any earlier). Brisbane hold the highest opposition accuracy of 59% in 2017. Is this a coincidence or there something in our game plan or lack of execution of it, that is allowing us to concede such accurate scores? Will Lever and May assist in our opposition kicking less accurately? Will the data correct itself and we can enjoy more sides kicking inaccurately against us, and hence win some more games on the run home. The opposition's accuracy cost us wins over West Coast and Adelaide. We had equal scoring shots to St Kilda (15.5.95) in a 40 point loss and Hawthorn and GC were in the game in the last minute due to their accuracy.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
T Mac to kick 7 this week. Kicked 6 in the corresponding game last year. No reason he can't better that.
-
Braydon Preuss: The Forgotten Man
Pathetic, like pretty much every other week this season.
-
Braydon Preuss: The Forgotten Man
Fair call.

Braydon Preuss: The Forgotten Man
To counter your argument, Preuss was also involved in our worst and most gutless performance of the year Vs St Kida. That was the game where basically every one of our inside 50’s that wasn’t marked by one of our forwards was automatically rebounded by St Kilda. The worst display of inside 50 ball retention I’ve witnessed from an MFC side, and clearly Preuss was one of the main reasons for that.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Good, sounds like we're going all in. In - May, Lever, Hore, Salem Out - Wagner, O Mac, JFK, Stretch. Melksham, VDB and Jetta are our only best 22 certainties out. Lewis and probably ANB are available for good depth. Starting from the Freo game after the bye (as May and Lever would've shaken the rust off) we should be winning more than we lose. Pure and simple. Excuses are over. The honey moon period for Goodwin is well and truly over.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Good. A half fit Lever will give us more than a McDonald. I know Lever will struggle in his first game back, but at least he'll get an AFL game under his belt and hopefully be close to cherry ripe V Freo after the bye.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
I'm neither a fan nor a basher but he did kick 2 goals and played well against Hawthorn in a high stakes semi final as an 18 year old. That has to count for something.
