  1. A lucky break for Watts?
  2. You must be on good terms with her eh?
  3. St Kilda 34,862 North Melb 33,621 Melbourne 33,520 WB Unknown
  4. Would it shock anyone that we haven't beaten St Kilda at Etihad since 2002?
  5. Garlett would be a loss if he doesn't make it to round 1. Having said the he's been absolutely atrocious against St Kilda since he's come over. I think he's managed just 3 goals in 4 games with Geary giving him a an absolute bath in all games, including kicking 2 on him in one particular game last year.
  6. Any reason why? Lack of demand or NB can't be arsed?
  7. Surely he gets a game over Harmes, Vandenberg, Bugg and ANB - all of whom cannot dispose of the ball.
  8. Feels like we're giving the Saints a gift by voluntarily not playing a 38 goal a year forward who has exquisite skills. Maybe they can return the favour by resting Bruce or Membrey to make it even.
  9. Goodwin is going to cop it big time from us and the media if the following events happen: We lose to St Kilda Our forward line is dysfunctional Watts is running around in some meaningless minor league scratch match Weideman gets 3 possessions and 0 marks Vandenberg has a disposal efficiency that matches his jumper number I fear the last 2 may occur if things go south and Watts misses the match.
  10. Palmer was certainly an adequate replacement for Stevie J in the prelim last year ?
  11. Can't see it happening. We match up terribly against them and we're lacking in the small forward department.
  12. I'll lose the plot if we let Gibbs and Cripps get another 80 possessions between them in round 2. if we can somehow quell the influence of both of them, then we're a chance to win that game. I don't know what it is but we match up terribly against Carlton.
  13. I think it's a bit less. 12-10 with a percentage of over 100, whether that gets us into finals who knows? A St Kilda like 12-10 season with a garbage percentage would be a bit disappointing.
  14. Please expand on them.
  15. Harmes was no good last week but ANB was ok. ANB always seems to kick a goal when ever he plays which is a good sign.
  16. I'll never forget those 2 Tyson goals in the last qtr. He reeks of last qtr heroics and will be an absolutely brilliant player for us over the next 8 or so years. He also kicked a ripping goal in the first Hawks game that gave us momentum into half time. We're very lucky to have a very talented pick number 2 on our hands.
  17. Best case scenario: Returns to Casey on March 18/19 and ready to go for round 1. Worse case scenario - runs out of time and is forced to play for Casey during the opening round weekend due to lack of preparation. Our small forward department is becoming a concern for the early rounds.
  18. I'll be seriously concerned if he also misses the West Coast game. Surely they'll be doing all they can to have a 38 goal a year forward into the lineup in our crucial round 1 game against St Kilda...surely! I find it hard to accept that Weideman and VBD are going to get the nod ahead of him because they've trained better in January. One will get about 4 possessions having absolutely no influence and the other will turn the thing over every second time he gets the ball. Time for the club to be transparent and come clean as to why he's been (effectively) suspended from the first two JLT games.
  19. Unless a player has a slight niggle (Hogan?) I'd go close to full strength and continue our good synergy of last week. I know it's only JLT but we need to start getting fair-dinkum against this mob and getting into a winning habit. We've been absolutely diabolical against Carlton the last 2 times we've played them, and we play them twice this year. We need to sort out our [censored] against this mob, identify why they've wiped us off the park the last 2 time despite their season being well and truly over, and put into practice how we're going to rectify our performances against them this year. We should be beating this likely bottom 4 side twice this year.
  20. What's our record at Casey Fields? 0-4? I know we lost to North (08), West Coast (10), St Kilda (13), Hawthorn (14) and possibly Bulldogs in 09??
  21. Gawn intimated that VDB and Weideman deserved the opportunity last Saturday to see whether they could edge a round 1 gig ahead of Watts. Based on both of their performances, Watts doesn't have a worry in the world.
  22. I think the fact that we didn't wear our white jumper caused us to win on Saturday...I truly do.
  23. I'd say he is a lock. Kent won't be ready. Kennedy is injured as is much worse a player. JKH is much worse a player. Garlett will be there round 1, provided he doesn't get injured or suspended.
