  1. I don't know why people bother going on an overseas holiday to Bali when they can simply see the same flogs in Melbourne's CBD on a Saturday night.
  2. I hope the fitness staff didn't train them too hard and that they had a nice relaxing week leading into christmas.
  3. I reckon Hawkins holds the key to this game. He absolutely pansted Oscar and Tom McDonald in Rd 3 to the point where it was embarrassing. He has absolutely owned us apart from the one game when Dunn held him to just 2 goals in 2015...and surprise surprise that was the only time we've beaten them in 10 years.
  4. Tonight's TattsLotto numbers as follows: 1, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12,
  5. I have a massive issue with the story. It refers to Salem and Tyson as 'stars' of the competition.
  6. A bold call for a team that just won 2 out of 11 games against the top 9 sides of the league, but feasted 6 times on Gold Coast, Brisbane and Collingwood.
  7. Which means he'll probably need January to be in the rehab group and then resume full training in Feb. I can see Viney having a slow start to the season, firing up mid season and then tiring in the last few weeks. There's a reason everyone bangs on about the benefits of an uninterrupted pre-season.
  8. Edited for accuracy.
  9. I think he's work ethic and great attitude (focus on training in the off season) will see him end up becoming a 150-175 gamer B or C+ type player. Richmond had an absolute abundance of these last year Ie - Houli, Grigg, Ellis etc.... I suspect he's currently in the coache's best 22 for next year.
  10. I wouldn't think he's in anyone's best 30 let alone best 22.
  11. If he missed the 6 games (not 2) like he was originally supposed to would he be in this mess? Wasn't as if it was worth him coming back early. He was a non-entity in 3 of the 4 games he played upon his return..
  12. I'd love Cam Rayner but understand that there's a small chance he may get snapped up before our pick 29.
  13. It was fantastic to read and hear that Watts made the bottom 50 of the Bigfooty's world famous "Moffra's bottom 50". As in he's deemed to be the 35th worst player of 2017. Player 35 - Jack WattsPictured: Getting some head is an often misunderstood termIt may have escaped the Bay's attention, but there is a player in the AFL called Jack Watts. He's 196cm tall, quick, has sticky hands (I mean on the field you dirty people) and is a beautiful user of the ball. On paper he should be a star.Problem is, AFL is a contact sport and Jack deals about as well with contact as your average soccer striker.Above: almost as bad as Clayton Oliver, presumably mentored by WattsHe was taken at pick 1 in the 2008 draft, which hurts even more because every other pick 1 has been a superstar *cough*.Taken at pick 2 in the same draft was the walking marketing phenomenon NicNat who is the best in the AFL in his position when fully fit. Other stars taken in the top ten that draft include Vickery, Hurley and Yarren making it closer to a police line up than a draft class. It's also the year for notable hairstyles with some important inspirations:Julian "Not Convicted" AssangeSide Show BobTom Hanks in CastawaySide Show CecilJack Watts hasn't exactly set the world on fire since his career began in a gang-tackle at the MCG - he's been handy from time to time but in no way has lived up to the hype. Granted Melbourne's development program has screwed more teenagers in the past few years than a Justin Bieber party held in Seaford but Jack just doesn't play a modern, contested, desperate style of football. Seems like the perfect AFL X player though (unlike many their other early Melbourne picks who have become AFL ex players). He did play well against Essendon (as a Brighton Grammar Private Schoolboy he obviously has strong morals) and then the rest of the season happened. A 5 kick effort the next week, hamstring issues, then intensity issues. Some of his chases from round 18 onwards would have been better handled (and more entertaining) if performed by Wilde E Coyote. Showing all the intensity of fairy floss he was banished to the VFL for a couple of weeks before earning a recalla farewell game in the last round. It seems he's on the trade table to either Port or Geelong, which means he'll probably be the first Brighton Grammar product to set foot in that part of the world. Hope he's brushed up on his "youse" and "yeah-nah" in preparation otherwise the locals will have no idea what he's actually saying.Jack, good luck with your new home. With a solid pre-season I'm sure we'll see you back on your knees in no time.Votes this time will be counted, welcome to the Bottom 50 for 2017.
  14. Points 1 (still loves Adelaide), 2 (wanting T Mac playing fwd) and to a lesser extent 4 (would've loved to play with Gibbs) actually make sense.
  15. The AFL website making a massive song and dance about Watts returning to training a whopping one week earlier than required...as if half the league isn't already rerturning early to pre season. I think it's getting to the point soon where a player will be seen as lazy if they simply return by the required date.
  16. I must be the only one that doesn't mind wearing a white clash jumper for what averages to be once a month - yes ONCE a month. I thought we had way more issues to worry about than a clash jumper.
  17. I think Salem, JKH and Hunt were required to attend training as they are all fourth year players (2014-2017). So those 3 are not in the browny points book.
  18. Sounds like Matt Crouch from Adelaide.
  19. I can't wait for the Sydney V Carlton game on Friday June 1 at the SCG. Sydney have an average winning margin over Carlton by 73 points at the SCG since 2014. Supreme Friday night fixturing by the AFL.
  20. You're right, 11 is low. We usually have 12 at the MCG. However the problem next year is that we are hosting Richmond on Anzac Day (only play them once every year) which means one less away game at the G. And this is the first time since 2014 that we are not playing Collingwood 'away' at the MCG.
  21. GWS at the MCG in round 23.
  22. Some NT news: Crows to face the Demons in an afternoon clash at TIO Traeger Park in round 10. The Dockers will travel north to take on the Demons at Darwin's TIO Stadium in round 16 in a night clash.
  23. As long as we could get him on a dirt cheap contract, I'd have him as depth who can come in when we have injuries or poor form. I wonder if we've had a chat with him or if he's just marketing himself? Funnily enough I'd back Crameri to kick more goals in a season than Watts, if both had full seasons.
  24. Would be unprecedented if a VIC club starts the season with two interstate trips. Has never happened. So lock it in that we'll be playing West Coast round 1 in Perth, then Brisbane round 2 at the GABBA.
