Peak Petracca
I was really disappointed in his prelim. i know most of our blokes were down that day, but it would’ve been great for his development as potential champion of the game if he was one of the rare players to step up under adversity. But alas he was probably in our bottom 5 vs WC. However, He did some lovely things the week before vs Hawthorn.

Training - Monday 19 November, 2018
I thought Petracca (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018) counted as a fourth year player and therefore required today. And would not a first year player be a Charlie Spargo (2018)? I could be wrong. And agree with your last point. Watts showed up early to training at Port and he's probably one of the least dedicated player to ever to pull on an AFL jumper.

Was on SEN this morning. Badly needs media training.

Lyon's Plea to Petracca: Be Like Max
These guys have the luxury of being in the starting centre square and playing the most midfield minutes. Meanwhile Petracca's stuck on a half forward flank. I think that's part of the reason why Petracca hasn't reached the heights of Oliver (All Aust), Brayshaw (3rd in the brownlow) or Viney (consistent high B &F finishes when not injured) Until Petracca is able to play in the midfield for 80-90%, i don't think he'll amount to those 3.

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED
Yep, they were the good old days. Although back in the first year of Docklands (Colonial Stadium in 2000) they had just one other game in progression and still listed the 2 teams as W and X on the scoreboard one particular Saturday night. I can remember at the time thinking why didn't they just name the 2 sides as we all knew who they were, given there were just the 2 games on that Saturday night.

Jumper Revamp
But only in the first half. Remember thinking at the time how rare it was to see an MFC player in long sleeves. Only for him to revert to sleeveless after half time.

Pass Mark 2019
15 wins in the H & A. Then a respectable loss in the prelim is my pass mark.

Lyon's Plea to Petracca: Be Like Max
Is he hanging out with LeBron and Ben Simmons this off season? Agree with Lyon. He's a fair way behind fellow top 5 picks in Brayshaw and Oliver, when on talent and under age reputation one would think he'd supposed to be ahead of them...well certainly Oliver. Had an absolute stinker in the prelim against West Coast. Yes I know 80% of the side did as well but off memory but he was pretty much our worst player on the ground. It would've been nice in his development as a player and potential leader in a couple of years if he was one of the rare few that stood up, but it wasn't to be.

We’re going to win the Flag next year - what do you do when we do?
Bemoan the fact that we'll start out following pre-season later than 16 other clubs.

Jumper Revamp
I still think this is the best clash jumper we've ever had. Yes better than the current royal blue.

Pre-Preseason 2019 Update
I wonder of these junkets make a lick of difference to AFL clubs?

2019 Fixture
Was at that game too. Horrid day in the history of the MFC losing to a bottom 4 side with everything on the line. Blundstone arena is a disgraceful AFL stadium. Your’re dead right about the cues to the toilets and food/bars. Probably up to 20 and 30 minutes respectively. Not good enough for a professional league such as the AFL. Manuka oval is not much better.

Round 2 2017. Before that round 11 2011. Before that round 5 2008.

2019 Fixture
I used to hate the idea of selling home games in the NT. However, we’ve finally started to win games there to the point where we went 2-0 there this year. And they were both dominant performances. We’ve also mastered the recovery component of NT games as we’ve won our last 4 games the week after NT games. Hopefully we can make the NT a fortress gong forward whereby we get an automatic 4 points, the opposition dread the trip up there and we cash in financially. And we still get our 11-12 games at the G. North will play finals next year due to playing 4 games at their ‘fortress’. And hopefully we’re too good for West Coast Adelaide with those 2 extra wins getting us into the top 2 after rd 23.

2019 Fixture
The weather shouldn't be an issue in Alice Springs in mid July, which is when we play WCE. The game starts at 2:50 so the second half will be played in the shade and the average maximum is only 20 in July.

2019 Fixture
We actually also got a 6 day break after Alice this year when we played the Dogs after the Adelaide game. Hopefully getting a 9 day break after the Darwin game next year will be of benefit as opposed to the usual 7.

2019 Fixture
West Coast, Collingwood and Richmond twice. We play Gold Coast and West Coast back to back interstate. West Coast off a 6 day break. Very stiff draw.

2019 Fixture
Could be a Friday night game in Melbourne for us in round 3 if we’re playing Thursday in round 4. No way the AFL would give us a 5 day break and a 4 day break in the one month...
