Good News for Footy Crowds in 2021
Hopefully it will be 40-50K by round 1 or 2 next year so if we’re a playing a low- mid tier VIC side or an interstate side, nobody misses out.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
It would be one of the great trade steals of all time if we can get a first rounder for a ruckman we don’t really need and a player that has barely fired a shot in 25 months - and clearing salary cap.

The Brodie Smith thread
If you like long kicks you'll like this bloke. A rich man's Paul Seedsman.
-
Isaac Smith
I don't recall him specifically stinking it up against us earlier in the year but I'll take your word for it. I do recall him ripping it up against Richmond in round 3 on his way to 3 brownlow votes.

2020 Player Reviews: #44 Joel Smith
Shouldn’t be played on talls. James Stewart from Essendon absolutely destroyed him in the final round. Might be more suited to the Papley’s of the league where he can use his pace and athleticism (but certainly not his footy smarts). Actually did ok on Papley from memory.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Now the St Kilda are probably out of the race, it would be interesting to see who else is in the market. I've heard Essendon could be in the race and possibly Collingwood but I doubt they'll get him if Miocheck costs them a fair bit.

Farewell Mitch Hannan
Fair to say the Dogs supporters are less than enthused about the 3 year contract For Hannan. Infact some haven’t even heard of him.
-
Farewell Oscar McDonald
Yeah O Mac was so poor in that game they had to send him to full forward just to stay out of the way. (Mind you he had a few mates that day)
-
TMac on the Trade Table?
I assume we'll agree to trade T Mac after Brown has made his decison and not before. Would be a bit foolish by the club to have neither on the list, unless they're relying on Mitch Brown to get his 15 marks and 2 Brownlow votes a game (per round 18)

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Can we use the second rounder we got from Hawthorn last year for Frost? That's surely an early second rounder that should get the job done. It's essentially: In -Ben Brown Out - Frost Works for me.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Not interested in a player that kicked 10 goals in a recent game of proper AFL football (not the shortened under 12’s asterisk footy of 2020)

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
Might even be paid out next year? I reckon the COVID breach was one transgression too many for the club to handle.
-
Brad Crouch
You might be right but he single handedly got them over the line against us in Darwin last year with 30 possessions, 3 goals and 3 Brownlow votes.
-
2020 Grand Final
Hopefully someone beats someone with a kick after the siren as a result of a dodgy free. Hate both sides with a passion. Wish both sides could lose, so seeing one of them being robbed would be a small comfort.

Isaac Smith
I’m ok with 3 years. Smith playing mostly VFL footy in the 3rd year is no worse than having the Wagners and KK on the list in 2020. And a 3 time premiership player can still provide a little more off field leadership and mentorship than say the Wagner brothers.

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
Croad admitted to drug abuse in a recent Open Mike Fox Footy interview. I think I know what you mean.
-
Weideman Takes Strides Forward
Did he really? Half glass empty - Two Cairns games for 9 possessions and 1 goal with our finals on the line against 2 dog ordinary clubs/ Half glass full- 18 goals in 9 mid season games.
-
Oliver Rumours on Footy Classified
It's understood Oliver didn't want to be in the same studio as Viney so Jack elected to take his family to Adelaide instead of coming back to Victoria.
-
2020 Brownlow Medal
Gawn’s first half was that dominant that the umpires didn’t even bother reviewing his second half.
-
2020 Brownlow Medal
Gawn managed 4 votes across those two ordinary MCG losses we had. Expect him to poll 3-5 more votes in the NSW hub games and be near the top of the table after round 7.

Finals: Week 3
Port and Brisbane have been the most consistent sides this year and were both impressive in week 1 finals. Both club supporters would be entitled to be disappointed if they drop their respective home finals - particularly Brisbane who have played a whopping 2 games outside of QLD.

Isaac Smith
Hard to feel sorry for Geelong in the trade department when the best player in the league fell into their lap at the end of 2015 and agreed to play for well ''unders''.
