  1. You’d imagine our game will be round 1 2016.
  2. Anyone got diamond Joe's number? On a serious note, if other clubs are doing it now, then we'll have not choice but to follow suit.
  3. 2018 T Mac was briefly sighted in round 16 2019, however I fear like you that he'll never be seen again.
  4. There may have been one or 2 players worse than Brown but not a lot.
  5. Congrats to May (and Viney) for winning selection in the team of the week for afl.com. https://www.afl.com.au/news/389954/team-of-the-week-r1-who-makes-the-cut- He's rightly copped it from all and sundry, but full credit to him for keeping a gun full forward goal-less.
  6. The 1988 prelim win doesn't get the credit it deserves and I feel it slips through the cracks in terms of our club history. Beating the reigning premiers and kicking 19 goals on a wet day at Waverley is nothing to sneeze at. All everyone talks about is the 1988 GF flogging that year, however to win 3 finals in the one finals series, like we did in 1988 is a damn good effort. I also feel our 2000 prelim final win over North doesn't get celebrated enough. We scored 156 points that night with Farmer kicking 8 goals. That win was overshadowed by the 2000 GF and our exciting week 1 win over Carlton.
  7. We missed Jones yesterday. One of the rare players on this list that can kick a football and make half decent decisions.
  8. Another example of us not being a ruthless club. We had 4 weeks to convince J Martin to come to the club. And he would've come too if he wanted to continue his career. I don't buy into the fact that he ONLY wanted to play for Carlton. The year before he ONLY wanted to play for Essendon. I think he wanted out of GC more than wanting to play for Carlton.
  9. In retrospect it was pointless playing a washed up Mitch Brown ahead of either Weideman or Jackson - both of whom have the possibility of being good players and both missed out on valuable experience against one of the best sides in the league.
  10. Trade him. And move Harmes back to the midfield - you know Goody, the actual position he plays his best footy at. I think Brayshaw's football will flourish at another side, unfortunately for us.
  11. Sadly you’re right. No way clubs are going to be in a position pay out coaches when this is over. Bitterly disappointing that today was essentially round 24 2019 and we’re still losing games due to horrid delivery inside 50 and woeful set shot accuracy. That’s on the coach and it’s amateur hour that he hasn’t rectified the problem that stuck out like dogs balls last year. Gerard Healy was banging on about our inside 50 entires all day and he’s spot on.
  12. I hope the draw gets re-jigged and we don’t have to cop GWS next game. Otherwise we’re looking at 0-2 That brand of footy won’t stack up against top shelf sides such as WC or GWS who punish mistakes and I50 inefficiency.
  13. Spargo and Brown would be the first to go. 7 of 8 kicks from Spargo were delivered gift wrapped to a West Coast player.
  14. Played his best game since not being captain. His football will probably flourish without the responsibility. Meanwhile the skipper was well below his best. I’d say that knee injury had something to do with his lacklustre performance.
  15. I caught the airport rail link to Brisbane CBD in 2018 (for the GC game) and got chatting to Gary. Very friendly fella, knows his footy and love his Dees. It’s a pity he can’t go to the game, but when people like Eddie McGuire, Peggy O’Neill and Brendan Gale can’t attend....
  16. I thought Clarkson being there was crap on the optics and didn’t need to be there given the current climate. But we’ll agree to disagree.
  17. Essendon’s crap pre season coming back to haunt them? Fading badly.
  18. Can someone explain to me why Brendan Gale, Peggy O’Neill, and Eddie McGuire were not in attendance at their respective games but Alistair Clarkson was at today’s game because he’s playing Freo next week. Thats what you call taking the urine Clarko.
  19. It never ceases to amaze me that the Dogs lost their elim final last year to GWS by 58 points - just 8 points less than our loss to WC in the prelim. Dogs didn’t get a whisper from the media about their pathetic effort. Meanwhile the media labelled out performance a crime against humanity. Dogs are overrated.
  20. Anyone who’s capable of a 37 touch 3 goal game is a pretty decent talent. Needs to narrow his best and worst games. Needs to play in the guts.
  21. He may have to take a centre bounce or 2.
  22. So who’s going to relieve Gawn in 30 degree heat? Against NickNat and Hickey. Has Mitch Brown ever taken a hit out?
  23. I think Lockhart plays this weekend given Salem's out.
  24. Will we miss Salem greatly or is he just a handy player at best who is probably our best kick over a short distance? Jones will be missed if his Marsh Series was anything to go by. Looked like he turned the clock back 3 or so years. I thought Spargo was OK in the Marsh Series and praccy match V North. Not as upset as others he got a gig. A bit baffled ANB got an automatic ticket into the 18. Played 1 good quarter and 7 average to woeful ones in the 2 Marsh games. His skill level seems to be going backwards by the year.
  25. Has an Achilles injury according to the MFC website.
