Farewell Mitch Hannan
Given that we're going to get bugger all for him, do we just delist him and let the Dogs pick him up for free as a delisted free agency. Don't we need to reduce our list size anyway?

TMac on the Trade Table?
If he stays with us I have no issue with T Mac lining up at CHF for us next year if his form warrants it and/or Weideman once again hasn't come on.

Shaun McKernan
Some years we do break a lot of glass. 2020 was great year injury wise but other years have been terrible for the MFC. No issue with McKernan being a direct replacement for Preuss, and McKernan actually knows what he's doing up forward. For those that want a perfect example of a ruck playing forward, do not re-watch the late season Freo game as our ruck-forward that day had about 1 possession.

Adam Treloar
For his flaws he's polled 21 votes (2016) and 18 votes (2019) in the brownlow. That's A-grade material.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I guess they have a responsibility to their members to get the best possible outcome. We are probably more than fair at the table under Mahoney and Co. so I'd imagine it will be pick 25 plus a little more. Hopefully not a future first rounder but we must remember that we're getting 3X 60 goal kicker a year full forward.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I would say Brown for pick 25 would get it done, and get it done early. North might push for something extra though.

Football Program Review
That would be good if they came out with that bold statement. Worked for the another club recently. However, Bartlett made it abundantly clear to the players and fans in his B&F speech that missing finals this year was completely unacceptable.

2020 Player Reviews: #30 Alex Neal-Bullen
ANB’s goal kicking accuracy was good this year with 7.0 and 64.41 over his entire career which is not too bad at all. I wouldn’t be upset if we retain him next year.

2020 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow
Deserves some luck on the injury front. Wouldn’t surprise me if he plays most games next year.

Jayden Hunt Re-Signs for 2 years
Hunt did play against Freo.

Apology to members - 1981 version
Did we go any better in 1982?

Jayden Hunt Re-Signs for 2 years
Happy with this. If he can somehow bottle that 4 goal game late in the year....
-
Shaun McKernan
Can remember this guy tearing us up last year with a 4 goal performance...only to find out after the game that he tore a hammy and played on 1 leg just to further rub salt into our wounds.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Might be the only way of getting him to the club?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Really hoping his 2020 season was a pure write off due to injuries and personal matters rather than a natural decline in his football. The fact that his goal tally was less than his games tally is a little concerning.
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
He averages 1.9 goals a game at Hobart which is below his career average of 2.2
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Brown averages 2.6 goals a game at Marvel and 2.1 at the MCG. However he's only played at the MCG 10 times over about 6 seasons which is a low sample space for a Victorian team. Has kicked 12 goals against us in four games at the MCG including a bag of 5 and a bag of 4. He actually made his debut against us in 2014 at the MCG for 1 goal.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
North supporters on Bigfooty demanding our future first rounder or current and future second rounder for Brown.

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
I hope the club isn’t getting carried away by a couple of nice goals by Baker in the GWS game. He didn’t play particularly well in the Freo and Essendon games. They need to chase a proven winger such as Polec or Phillips to be our starting winger next year and retain Baker as depth. I agree that they should keep Tomlinson as a defender rather than winger next year as he was solid and reliable when he played down back.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Can't argue with any of that however Frost played well for Hawthorn this year and Kent played finals for St Kilda as well getting near BOG against us in an early 2019 game. Time will tell if both players carve out good careers at their next clubs.
-
Jaidyn Stephenson
His on-field performances this year speaks to the veracity of those claims.
-
Josh Thomas
Josh Thomas biggest goal kicking season haul at Collingwood - 38 Ben Kennedy biggest goal kicking season haul at Collingwood - 9 Pretty sure Thomas is an upgrade on Kennedy and has kicked a bag of 5 goals once and a bag of 4 twice.
-
Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
We certainly have an opening on the wing. Particularly for someone that once kicked 15 goals in a year - which doesn't sound like much but Langdon only kicked 2 this year despite a very good season.
-
Isaac Smith
Meh - do we really want to give a 3 year contract to a 32 year old that missed half the year due to injury. I'd like him but he might have hit the point of his career where he spends more time off the field then on it. Next.

Good News for Footy Crowds in 2021
No chance they have been behaving better than us. You only have to look at videos that have emerged throughout the year of pubs, clubs and other events going off in NSW, QLD and SA as if there was no such thing as COVID. But they'll be quick to point out VIC people's poor and slack attitude to COVID when it's actually due to luck and good/bad management by the state governments. Would love nothing more than to be at the G in round 1 supporting the boys on a beautiful March afternoon and then celebrating a win, after such a lousy footy year in 2020.
