WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I agree that 26 and 43 for Brown and something later coming back our way.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I would've thought trading Ben Brown for pick 26 is more than commensurate for a player that's kicked 10 goal in a game of footy, and one of the leading goal kickers of the last few years. Not sure we have to be greedy and offer up 33 and nothing else.

Rumour only file ...
Is it Hewitt or Dawson that is an absolutely brilliant field kick. I get those 2 mixed up. Hewitt was an absolute best 22 until this year. Was he injured or fell out of favour?

Farewell Mitch Hannan
Hopefully the Dogs stink it up next year so this becomes a pick in the mid 40s rather than mid 50's. Hannan is a talented player (his goal kicking class was on display from his debut game) that lacks consistency and impact from week to week. He'll be ok for the Dogs but expect to him to float in and out of the side, from seniors to VFL.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 33 & Pick 50
Our picks 26 and 33 to North for Brown and their pick 28. Or does that make no sense? Have a feeling pick 33 alone won't be satisfactory for North.

AFL Trade Radio
For Essendon if they're getting the 2017 model who kicked 32 goals as forward ruck. For GC if they're getting the 2020 model who failed to play a game in a poor side despite being highly rated.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Paying an ex player's salary is nothing foreign to the MFC. We paid a portion of Jack Watts's salary to do next to nothing at Port (aside from a BOG performance against...well....us.)
-
AFL Trade Radio
I'll re-phrase it. T Mac has been BOG ordinary for the last 2 years. He's played 2 good games since the 2018 semi final. Not acceptable for a highly paid player.

AFL Trade Radio
I've been a critic of him in the past but I thought his 2020 was one of his better seasons. Needs to venture forward more often and kick those classy goals from 50 on the run, in order to be more of a threat to the opposition.

AFL Trade Radio
It would appear as though the last 2 years has really damaged T Mac's on-field brand. At the end of 2018, clubs would've been lining up for his services.

2020 Player Reviews: #44 Joel Smith
Was going ok until Stewart toweled him up in the last game. Did ok on Papley so probably shouldn’t play on the taller key forwards.

Training at the MCG
At this rate I’d be happy if we simply played a home and away game at the G next year - in front of the faithful.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Surely recruiting a specialised winger such as Isaac Smith or Tom Phillips isn’t worth 4 extra wins to get us into next years second qualifying final. I would’ve thought the elimination of picking and choosing which games (see the Cairns and Port Adelaide disasters) to turn up to and picking and choosing which quarters to go to sleep in (see the early season MCG games and the Dogs game) are our main obstacles of finishing top 4 or even the top 8. A platoon of Baker, Tomlinson, Hunt and VDB playing the “non Langdon” wing is far from ideal but it’s only 1 position out of 18 on the field and shouldn’t cost us the destination we want to get to next year. I.e playing in at least week 2 or 3 of the finals.

Finals never seem to be Rohan's days.

The Andrew Phillips Thread
Is Phillips the one on the left or is that Aaron Francis??

Farewell Mitch Hannan
I like this bolded bit from Sam Power of Bulldogs: https://www.afl.com.au/news/523866/dogs-still-want-dunkley-but-open-to-different-situations- Melbourne forward Mitch Hannan: "It's really encouraging he has indicated he wants to come … but we've got a bit to work through there. That's one we'll work through over the next week." Hopefully we can something decent for losing Hannan.

Farewell Braydon Preuss
Would like to get pick 31 from GWS (and T Greene or Whitfield as steak knives!) More likely it would be 44, or a future third round. We're not ones to demand the world.
-
Farewell Mitch Hannan
Given that we're going to get bugger all for him, do we just delist him and let the Dogs pick him up for free as a delisted free agency. Don't we need to reduce our list size anyway?

TMac on the Trade Table?
If he stays with us I have no issue with T Mac lining up at CHF for us next year if his form warrants it and/or Weideman once again hasn't come on.
-
Shaun McKernan
Some years we do break a lot of glass. 2020 was great year injury wise but other years have been terrible for the MFC. No issue with McKernan being a direct replacement for Preuss, and McKernan actually knows what he's doing up forward. For those that want a perfect example of a ruck playing forward, do not re-watch the late season Freo game as our ruck-forward that day had about 1 possession.

Adam Treloar
For his flaws he's polled 21 votes (2016) and 18 votes (2019) in the brownlow. That's A-grade material.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I guess they have a responsibility to their members to get the best possible outcome. We are probably more than fair at the table under Mahoney and Co. so I'd imagine it will be pick 25 plus a little more. Hopefully not a future first rounder but we must remember that we're getting 3X 60 goal kicker a year full forward.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I would say Brown for pick 25 would get it done, and get it done early. North might push for something extra though.

Football Program Review
That would be good if they came out with that bold statement. Worked for the another club recently. However, Bartlett made it abundantly clear to the players and fans in his B&F speech that missing finals this year was completely unacceptable.

2020 Player Reviews: #30 Alex Neal-Bullen
ANB’s goal kicking accuracy was good this year with 7.0 and 64.41 over his entire career which is not too bad at all. I wouldn’t be upset if we retain him next year.
