I'm flabbergasted this guy came third in the brownlow given his output in subsequent seasons. I'm one of those in the "it's midfield or not much else" camp for Brayshaw. Therefore we should've seriously considered trade options for him post season - and we may well have but couldn't get an enticing offer. He has played some outstanding games as a midfielder - eg - 37 touches and 3 goals against Adelaide in 2018.

Wasn't impressed. Two games and looked way out of his depth in both of them. Did show a bit however in that Arden Street practice match against North where both sides had a combo of senior and VFL listed players. Hopefully through natural development over the pre season, he takes a big step up as we have poor small forward depth compared to say a St Kilda.

So would I but he sounds like he has off field issues (or at least he has in the past). Very decent small defender.

Billy Gowers would come close. Wood has some talent. Can recall him kicking 4 goals against Sydney including the winning goal a couple of years back at the SCG, and he was too much for us to handle in a game against North in mid 2017 at the MCG (not the Hobart debacle that same year) He may be the worst player in the league but he's not the least talented if that makes sense?

It’s not a possibility that at least two sides will drop out of the 8. It’s an absolute definite that at least two sides will drop out and has been since 1995 when the final 8 was introduced the year before. Anyone from this year’s finals can miss, even Richmond.

I hope your info is wrong. We ought to be livid at the club if Jackson wants to go home. Develop him for 2 years so West Coast can reap the benefits. There were plenty of great VIC prospects available to us such as Serong, Young, Day etc... who were not flight risks.

A brilliant pick up whom we apparently targeted very early in 2019. Had a great season but he and the club would want more than a 2 goal 8 behind return.

An absolute bomb of an investment. Didn't play well in any games except for some glimpses in the NSW hub games. If we did re-sign for next year, he wouldn't be in my best 22. Good on us for supporting him but I can't see any more left field selections for a while.

Are Jackson and Rivers close mates? Or do they have nothing much to do with each other aside from both being from WA?

T Mac's staying according to Mahoney. And he might return to defense which I'm in favour of.

King's done a massive 180 on us. In 2018 he was the leading fan boy in the media massively pumping up our tyres and only too willing to claim all the credit when we beat WC late in the season to seal a finals birth. Now he doesn't rate us - and you could argue rightly so. Ofcourse it could be sour grapes for losing his key forward.

Most likely not. We shouldn't be nervous but we shouldn't be 100% comfortable either given both clubs have left it to the last day - very unlike Mahoney.

Now I can sort of see why Essendon supporters couldn't stand him. Has been poor since busting his ankle against GC last year, but has had some great moments at the MFC since crossing over. Surprisingly didn't kick a goal in his last 5 games of the year.

Problem with that is unlike Jack Martin, Brown probably hasn't put an absurd contract price over his head to scare 17 other clubs away. And there are 9 other clubs that have a month to convince Brown to play for their club. It's essential a trade gets done or he likely will never play for the MFC.

So I take it you guys are happy for Ben Brown to play elsewhere next year because you didn't want to give up 26 or a couple picks in the 30's. I know it's awesome to win trade week but it's even more awesome to win games of footy. Good on us if we can get Brown on the cheap but I won't be sooking it up if we give up picks 26 and 33 for him (and a later pick)

Would that plan B revolve around Weideman being double teamed each week and a washed up T Mac jogging around trying to get a kick in our forward line? Happy to pay a bit overs here. The rewards could be spectacular.

I know there's a few years still to go to assess this trade but he was worth every penny in 2020.

Does really matter if we pay slight overs for Ben Brown? As someone mentioned above, it won't be like the Jack Martin scenario where he landed for free at Carlton in the PSD. If we don't get a trade done tomorrow, he'll never play at Melbourne.
