  1. The coaches think he is. He's polled 18 votes (same as Trac) which averages out to the third best player on ground in all the games we've played, according to the coaches.
  2. Richmond's the last side you'd bring in undercooked players who missed 6-8 weeks of training in Feb/March. I'm in favour of no Weid and certainly no BBB this weekend. But one or both will need to be integrated into the side in the coming weeks.
  3. Hopefully he's on minimum chips. Would be horrified if he's on 500-600 a year. We all liked Harmes in 2018 but he hasn't kicked on since then and I wouldn't even bring him back when he's over his injury. Sensational news about Salem.
  4. Fair enough. Out of all our interstate trips this year, I'd have no hesitancy in waiting until the last minute to go to Metricon. They really struggle for a crowd up there.
  5. I'm in the same boat as I'm looking to go over as well, but don't want to spend money on flights if no access to tickets. You may very well be ok, as capacity will be 100% by then. Maybe contact the club? FWIW, they were selling GA tickets to the Port V St Kilda game this Sunday.
  6. The Suns on 24 or 25 July might be a good option. Half empty stadium and $65 one way flights.
  7. Saints and North to kick off round 11 with a sympathy Friday night game. The Dogs to entertain us in the 4:40 Sunday slot. That's how the AFL rolls.
  8. I asked the question on Adelaide's Bigfooty board and they advised that there is slim to no GA tickets available for Adelaide home games. Not sure if they were being serious or they didn't want any feral VICS to attend. The capacity will be 100% by the time we play them which may help.
  9. The good news it it will be 100% capacity for Adelaide V Melbourne on 22 May. The bad news is you can't even get a General Admission ticket for a lowly Adelaide V GWS game next weekend. I think it's a very risky proposition to fly over to Adelaide (I'm contemplating it) with a genuine chance of not being able to get a ticket to the game. Maybe the club may assist?
  10. Good to see we’re still the kings of Sunday footy despite being half good at the moment.
  11. Correct. That Bartlett blast was a thing of beauty IMO.
  12. Yeah hoping that's the last of the 3:20's for a while. That will make it 3 for the year and the weekend's over by the time you get home.
  13. I'm keen to fly over for this one as well. Any idea how to get tickets at Adelaide Oval? I assume Victorian based MFC members have no entitlement. GA sells out very quickly for Adelaide home games I understand.. Would be an epic disaster if flights and accomm booked but no ticket.
  14. In fairness to the AFL for not giving us Friday or Saturday nights over this 2 week period, neither Adelaide or Carlton are going all that flash to be honest. Assuming we keep winning our fair share of games, I can see marquee timeslots for the following games: Bulldogs V Melbourne (all but certain this will be a Friday night Marvel game in round 11) Port Adelaide V Melbourne Melbourne V Bulldogs West Coast V Melbourne Geelong V Melbourne
  15. We we desperate for him on draft night but Port got in first, so we picked Rivers with our 3rd pick in 2019. Rivers will be good, but geez he would've been sensational for us.
  16. Yeah I have a gut feel Fritsch will miss this week. We need 22 blokes that are 100% ready to go against the best in the business.
  17. Agreed. Reckon Jordon will be the sub this week while Sparrow goes from sub to a full game for Casey. Then Jordon or Sparrow replaces Jones the following week if Jones struggles to impact this weekend. Weid for M Brown (may have been his last MFC game) May for Petty Fritsch for Jordon (pending Fritta's injury. If not, Jordon stays) Jetta for Sparrow - in terms of sub. If Weid and Fritta both come in, we lose a midfield rotation in Jordon. Not sure if that's ideal. or not.
  18. Be disappointed if Weid gets a game while Fritsch kicks off the dew at Punt Road.
  19. Correct. Round 5 2016. The last time we beat Richmond.
  20. Welcome to 2019. Except we're still winning despite the opposition's accuracy. The amount of games we lost that year because of the opposition's insane accuracy... The two West Coast losses come to mind.
  21. Amazing prediction by you. I thought we'd be 2-4 after that horrid showing against the Dogs. I'm hoping we weren't taking that game seriously as opposed to losing badly just because we were missing Oliver and Salem.
  22. They were insufferable after they beat us in the 2017 ANZAC eve game - before they won their flags. Their arrogance over on Bigfooty that night was horrid. Even after we we had 1 fit bloke on the bench and had to ruck Watts for most of the night.
  23. I remember watching this game on a Monday night during a strict lockdown with an 8pm curfew and Dwayne Russell commentating. Living the dream....
  24. Lever was interviewed on 3aw last night and he mentioned that his eye is going well and he just needs to pass the concussion protocols, and Lever said that he's going well in that regard. I expect May to play.
