NON MFC: Rd 13 2021
Clearly one of the games of the year, and the earlier North V GWS game was pretty damn good as well. An excellent day’s footy. If West Coast are to finish top 4 and go on to make a GF, I reckon they’ll look back at the Carlton win last week more so than tonight. They were not really supposed to beat Carlton with all their outs and then be on the verge of missing finals. Sure enough they won the game and now they find themselves in the top 4 mix. They’re a dangerous side with Kelly, Shuey and McGovern to return.

A draw would be brilliant. I don’t want either of these mobs in the top 4. Richmond because they’re Richmond. West Coast because I don’t want to have to travel over there for a prelim.

COVID & AFL 2021
If the 25 K radius has gone by 26 June I’m more than happy to travel down to Geelong to watch us play Essendon, just to see a game live.

Yze Favourite For Pies Coach?
Oh well. It was nice to have him for 5 minutes…

NON MFC: Rd 13 2021
Kents suffering effects of concussion. That game reminds me of our 2019 loss to Adelaide in Darwin. Up by 5 or 6 goals in the 3rd qtr and then couldn’t hit the side of barn door. Saints are definitely having a Melbourne esque 2019 season.

2021 Injury List
His skills let him down at times but I wonder if he could be a September wild card if he somehow finds himself in the side in August? Big bodied contested player that wouldn’t be afraid of nailing the big goal in a final.

COVID & AFL 2021
Can we put all repatriation flights on hold until early October? People being allowed into the country from Corona virus riddled countries are what’s going to cost us loyal VIC’s from possibly seeing our first live premiership at the MCG in our life times.

Where Will We Play Collingwood? (QB Big Freeze)
I wouldn't have thought AFL footy was one of Glady's passions in life but happy to be proven wrong.

Please be 26 June.

TEAMS: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Agree with that, albeit has only played 6 games for us. If you had to choose out of Weid or Mitch Brown at selection night to provide a meaningful impact, you'd be choosing Brown.

TEAMS: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Every game at the SCG is a scrap. Was hoping the game would be at Giants Stadium. Actually I'd rather the game be at the G but we're desperate for cash.

Is not that game at Kardinia park/GMHBA anyway?

Where Will We Play Collingwood? (QB Big Freeze)
Fair call. And if you're a Melbournian that travels up and back for the game without incident, then best of luck to you. But I'll go with the "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" theory. Feel like we're on a very tight leash until Thursday.

Brayden Maynard
Hore was a solid trier in 2019 that took some really good intercept marks and his reading of the play was something that Lever would've been impressed with. But his disposal really let him down at times and I thought he was one of those players that was caught between being too good for VFL and a touch off belonging at AFL level as a week in-week out competent player. He'll be good for depth next year though.

COVID & AFL 2021
Thanks for posting the article DL5. That's a promising development in terms of having crowds for the Essendon and GWS games at the G. Zero cases today will only help this development.

Where Will We Play Collingwood? (QB Big Freeze)
That's a big development. But how can someone from an outer Melbourne suburb justify breaching the 25 k limit by (driving to Tullamarine) to fly up to Sydney for a football game. Unless there are special loopholes and exemptions that Melbournians can apply for to travel to the game, I wouldn't risk it. Sounds like a 50% crowd may be allowed for the Dons V Dees games in round 15 so it might be best to wait for that.

Can anyone get pass this paywall from the HSun? https://www.heraldsun.com.au/subscribe/news/1/?sourceCode=HSWEB_MRE170_a&dest=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.heraldsun.com.au%2Fsport%2Fafl%2Fnews%2Ffox-footy-posts-historic-afl-ratings-results-powered-by-lockeddown-victorians%2Fnews-story%2Fd99568521baadb0dafdb8c5fcaffaac2&memtype=anonymous&mode=premium&offerset=hs_mobile&v21suffix=414-b Article drops a hint about when crowds will return to VIC? Could it be the dons game, 26 June? Maybe the GWS game, 3/4 July?

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I've got a sneaky feeling Weid will explode this Monday in his audition for his new side. If Goody's feeling all matey this week: IN - Langdon Out - Sparrow If Goody has any integrity of selection: In - Langdon Out - Melksham

Want to hope the GF isn't played in Perth and old mate McGowan doesn't let us in.

COVID & AFL 2021
After today’s announcements, are we any closer to games and crowds in VIC? One of the press asked Sutton today and he answered the question without answering the question.

What they're saying down at Lulie Street
No thanks. I still wake up in cold sweats thinking about that game when the American kicked 5 goals against us in 2018 - and that he could do it again one day.

COVID & AFL 2021
Anyone have the inside word or care to speculate when games and crowds will return to the MCG and Marvel? I'm assuming 11 June - 17 June will be a very slight easing of restrictions such as what regional VIC are currently on. Absolutely no crowds, as per no fixtured games in VIC. 18 June - 24 June - A further step up. Will Geelong/Dogs, North/Bris and Hawks/Dons get to host a small crowd at GMHBA, Marvel or MCG? 25 June - 1 July - Will this be the week they allow restricted crowds back and therefore we can go to the Dons game? A lot of people are rightly barracking for the GWS game to be in Alice for the $800K, but crowds should be back at the G by 4 July and it would be a shame to miss out on yet another game.

COVID & AFL 2021
No not at all. Good luck to you Sydney guys for being able to attend a few games in person. However, we're the Melbourne footy club and we need to get back to the G asap, and get re-accustomed to playing at the venue where most of this year's finals will be played. This week will mark 4 matches in a row away from the G.

COVID & AFL 2021
Sounds like we'll be out of lock down on Friday. Would guess schools are back, 50% work capacity, 20 people outdoor gatherings, no house guests, masks inside, masks outside if you can't social distance. Hospitality open but capacity limits. Really hoping we can get back to the footy for the Essendon game which will be 2 weeks after the first easing of restrictions - I guess 50% capacity at best with masks. The GWS MCG game might be looking ok as that's 3 weeks away. This year's looking too special (touch wood) to be playing games in front of 3,000 people in Sydney while the rest of us are watching in our lounge.
