I thought he'd wait until next year when he becomes a free agent.

Back to Back Blockbuster Friday Nights for the Dees
Well done to the AFL for not scheduling Collingwood V Geelong on the Friday night over the Dogs and Dees. Would have been a real lazy and "boys club" kind of scheduling.

Back to Back Blockbuster Friday Nights for the Dees
Yes.

Back to Back Blockbuster Friday Nights for the Dees
It happened in 2011. Round 10 - 47 point loss to Carlton Round 11 - 33 pint win over Essendon.

Back to Back Blockbuster Friday Nights for the Dees
For round 11 who gets the Friday night? Collingwood V Geelong - MCG Richmond V Adelaide - MCG West Coast V Essendon - Optus Bulldogs V Melbourne - Marvel Will they pick 2 new sides on the rise or fall into old habits and simply choose Richmond or Collingwood.

Top of the Ladder?
Unless we finish top 2 and win our first final weโll probably have to go through Port at Adelaide Oval in the finals - the toughest assignment in footy IMO. Top 2 is imperative if we want to dream of a flag.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
I see him and Jordon fighting it out for the one spot, and until Jordon is dropped or rested, Harmes will be at Casey for the foreseeable future.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
Weed would be privately miffed after kicking 10 goals in 2 weeks. Presumable Melksham or Jones will be dropped for BBB unless there is a mystery injury or resting required.

Top of the Ladder?
We actually lost to Adelaide earlier that year in the game after Ayres was sacked. We got flogged by Port in round 19 by a very similar margin to be displaced from top spot, and then the wheels fell off that year. We lost both games at Football Park that year by a combined margin of 147 points. A contender - we were not.

Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
Thanks for clarifying. Your MFC memory is off the charts. I know in 2019 we kicked 1.7ish in the last qtr with the wind including Preuss missing from 10 mtrs out directly in front. Bad things happen at that ground.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Iโve got no doubt in the world heโll be the next MFC skipper.

Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
Correct if I'm wrong but every time we play North at Blundstone they end up kicking with the wind in the first quarter meaning that we were always too knackered to take advantage of it in the last? The most minor of minor danger games this one, if we can't handle the wind.

Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
Interestingly the game may have been played in Sydney (for some strange reason) if the Hobart game fell through. Thus the game may not have even been relocated to Marvel.
-
Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
So we should all rock up to Marvel at Sunday 12:30 just in case, while we still await the TAS government's decision?
-
Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
So now that tickets are officially on sale, I guess we can put the discussion to bed?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
When he was at Freo I was hoping he wouldn't rip it up. Now at GWS I'm happy for him to do quite well.
-
Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
Surely now that the North boys will exit isolation at midnight, an announcement from 12:01am onwards will be made that the Hobart game can go ahead. I just canโt work out the logic if the game canโt take place down there.

Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
I'm surprised Jon Ralph is confident the game will be in Hobart according to those he's spoken to at North Melb. I would've thought the obvious decision would be to move the game to Marvel given Tasmania's hard stance on their borders - not withstanding the fact that there's more of a chance of catching the Spanish flu down there than North spreading COVID.
-
Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
Jon Ralph confident the game will remain in Hobart.

The ANB Appreciation Thread
If it wasn't ANB's best ever game on Saturday night, it would be damn close to it. That snap from the boundary was a thing of beauty.

Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
It must be about the optics rather than the health risk. There's a better chance of one winning tattslotto every week for a year than North Melbourne spreading the COVID 19 virus into the Tasmanian community.

Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
Lockdown just ended in Perth. I wonder if that now tips the scales towards Hobart?

NON MFC: Rd 06 2021
Looks like weโre finally going to have a game where both sides score 100 pts. A throw back to the old days where this happened regularly. (and first time since we beat Carlton in 2019)

Relocation of North Melbourne Game?
Weโve played there 3 times and lost all of them by under a goal.
